Faceless Killa ph34r_of_Kira it is in my beleife that after Issues koRn lost their energy, it seemed that Untouchables just couldn't compair to the prevous albums at all, i kind of think that after Issues koRn started to fall apart. Dunno what you're talking about, but most Children of the KoRn consider Untouchables to be their greatest masterpiece to date. Only one song on the entirity of the Untouchaable album caught my attention, and that's "Here To Stay". the rest of the album gust didn't feel like KoRn to me. I was also disapointed with the half of Fallow The Leader that had rap in it(except "All In The Family" that song was just funny as hell). Issues and Selftitled were the best albums, fallowed by Life Is Peachy, thoes albums were full of KoRn's real talent, as well as the songs i love and can relate to.

If you took out that element then the band would be just another everyday rock band that everyone would listen to. But instead they are this pheonominal band that takes pride in what it does. If you want to talk about rap, just listen to the song Play Me off of TALITM, cause the whole song is a rap by Nas.

If you want to talk about rap, just listen to the song Play Me off of TALITM, cause the whole song is a rap by Nas. Rap doesn't seem to be that big of an element in my eyes. I don't hear that much rap in KoRn's songs(unless they did a song with someone else). Rapping is not singing, that is why i think that the songs with rap in them are not truly KoRn. KoRn is New Metal(not Nu-Metal), they are what metal has become, that's what they started as anyway, now it seems that they are kind of selling out, and not being the KoRn i grew up with. I loved the raw energy and talent that was in their selftitled album, they kept some of it for Life Is Peachy and Fallow The Leader, they braufgt most-all of it back for Issues, and then kind of lost it again. I'm not saying I don't like what they are coming out with now, I'm just disapointed because I keep expecting some thing like Issues or Selftitled, then when the new stuff comes out i re-relize that the KoRn i started loving is pretty much dead, and i have to accept that. I do, but i still wish for the orrignal KoRn to return to the world and kick everyones a** again.

~Guilty by design~ I like Untouchables the best XD The point still stands. A lot of users and fans will always say that Untouchables is their greatest work to date. Issues comes close but still fails to compare to the new heights that Untouchables propelled KoRn to. Issues made them a world wide famous band. But Untouchables, like the song says (HERE TO STAY), made them a permenant band.

Well.. I can't really say. All of KoRn's albums have their own feel and identity...each album has a strong point for me. For example Issues for me was the most emotional, Untouchables is a masterpiece musicwise...so on and so forth...
As far as wanting their old sound back, I don't realy care less. KoRn is about evolution, and whatever direction they take is all good to me.

That may be true, but there are many fans that KoRn has that are purists meaning that they like a certain sound (i.e. the old) and don't like change.

I'm familiar with the type... they're the ones that keep terrorizing the newer fans on some of the boards I've been in, and keep telling JD in his blog and myspace that KoRn shouldn't stray from ye olde sound...

They really should do an experimental piece like Metallica did with St. Anger and experiment with incoorparating their old sound and mix it with their new sound and see how fans would react to that.

Sorta an industrial/experimental tinged rap metal, eh? I think I would enjoy that. It would b cool if the next cd combined the defining elements of both worlds into one. It would please the fans of the old and the ones who want to see KoRn progress somemore.

At the same time though, just because they get another guitar in, that doesnt exactly say that their old sound will come back. I thik that everyoen plays different.

I'm not talking about just getting a new guitar player, but for them to get in touch with their old roots and pull back some of that old spirit and sound.
