I drowned in my own tears. sweatdrop

At the point where Ahiru is refusing to give up and kept on dancing, I was teary-eyed, but trying hard to hold them back. As soon as Mytho was all like "Right now I want to love only Rue.", I was in behemoth, hiccuping sobs. I stayed crying the entire ending sequence as well. When it showed the final picture of Ahiru with the yellow-y tones, I calmed down.

I love Princess Tutu! It's my favorite anime to date. whee

I thought the ending was perfect. It was happy, but at the same time, very sad. When it shows all the shots of all the other classmates it's sort of saying that Ahiru really was just a simple duck after all and they could live without her. Well, everyone except Fakir... heart (Oh no, my OTP is showing!)

Anyway, I give Princess Tutu a 10/10, just because it's simply perfect. 3nodding

Ipoku

So...I guess that means that Siegfried went with Odile...

Not as you think. There's a reason why Edel (sp?) mentioned the jewel entitled "artistic liscense". smile

In the version used by the American Ballet Theatre, Odette commits suicide by throwing herself into the lake, and Seigfried follows; their love destroys Rothbart, or however that worked. >_>; But the two end up together in the afterlife...

Then there's the one where Seigfried doesn't get the girl, and a whole lot of other versions. But as far as I know, the only reason he danced with Odile was because he thought she was the original swan he danced with at the lake. Mistaken identity, nothing else.

As far as the last episode goes, I loved it... until the very end. I hate semi-unresolved tragic endings. I mean, as far-fetched as that town is, a love relationship with a duck is stretching it a bit, Fakir. 9_9

Many people may think that a second season would be overkill, but I would personally love to see one ^^ I mean, Drosselmeyer never really went away..... there's always potential when the main protagonist is still there XD

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and mine is that there SHOULD be a second season.

I agree...I think they could do quite well with a second season 3nodding (Hey, for Drossolmeyer...did you mean antagonist? Ahiru's the protagonist)

Here's a thought! Mytho in the story was the same age throughout. Like when rue was a little girl, mytho was still the same age when she was a teen. So with that in mind i'm assuming that the characters are timeless-immortal right? So then Fakir is...?

just wondering... i really don't know but if there was a second season i'd definately watch it. Not to say that the season it finished with was bad, i think it provided enough closure for me to satisfied. biggrin

When I watched the last episode, I was getting really teared up while I was eating chocolate. I had to eat it slowly because I was to busy getting ready to cry. I feel the ending fit but I am rewatching the series to get more closure on the ending since I started in the second arc sweatdrop .

I liked the ending, I found it very fitting.
At least Princess Tutu didn't dissappear with the flash of light
like she was "destined" to in the "story"

Plus she still gets to be with the handsome Fakir heart heart heart

I think the ending was a satisfying one. I was satisfied. It ended happily, everyone was happy, and living normal lifes. It was a good ending for a short anime. Usually short animes have a bad ending.

I really enjoyed the ending, and I was getting all teary-eyed too.
I just don't like that Ahiru had to return to her life as a duck, but then again that was the life she'd known before, and after the battle was over, and Mytho and Rue were gone, what more of a reason could Ahiru have to stay human? Maybe it was better for her in the end.
