durrypoo Roxy Rose Sounds good to me. You into any other power metal? Hammerfall, Helloween, Angra, Mago de Oz, Rata Blanca, Nightwish, Stratovarius, Kamelot, Edguy, Avantasia, Grave Digger... I also wanna get albums from Iced Earth, Running Wild, Tierra Santa, Metalliun and Hibria but those are some sons of bitches to find, and I can't download music living here insider school's dormitories. Is Nightwish reagrded as power metal? I thought it was dark gothic metal

I thought it was dark gothic metal yep, it just uses keyboards a bit more than usual and an exagerated operaic voice, but it remains power metal with the melodic style, the work on solos and of course the lyrical themes

Iced Earth albums are pretty easy to find near me, and yes, they kick a**, I've been a fan of theirs for years.
I have always however wanted to get my hands on, let alone hear some Running Wild, but I can never find anything from them.

Roxy Rose Iced Earth albums are pretty easy to find near me, and yes, they kick a**, I've been a fan of theirs for years. I have always however wanted to get my hands on, let alone hear some Running Wild, but I can never find anything from them. I got a torrent source with Running Wild's discography, which I will start downloading when I go to my friend's house and as soon as I'm done with Gamma Ray's Land of the Free... I'm also gonna download Iced Earth's The dark saga biggrin by the way, should I download Rogues en Vogue or Black Hand Inn first? those are the ones I'm more interested in from the songs they have in their myspace

Belail The Darkness yeah, got into dragonforce from the Asylum51 server on Freelancer. other power metal bands i like.... Stratovarius Hammerfall Iced Earth Blind Guardian I dunno if Iron Maiden is, but you can count them in, since i like them, and they are a major influence towards power metal Iced Earth <3

Herr Kaiser Matthelm Dragonforce seemed to expload around here in the states, I got into them threw the internet...gave it to my friends, next thing you know, every ones wareing there shirt. Saw em' live, kicked much a** Kthx i think ozzfest caused it. not the tour its self, but when people saw the bands name next to ozzfest the checked them out. and of course loved them. how could they not?

Isn't Hammerfall more of Heavy Metal / Epic metal than power metal?

Sonata Arctica, are awsome, but not as fast and heavy as dragonforce, definatly dragonforce are fast!! I'm sure there are others but i just ain't had the time to listen to um smile I just been dreamin obut herman razz hehehe How sad.....newayz yar smile dragonforce ftw smile
