Firestarter was my fifth or sixth book to read. By then, I'd gotten hold of all the four Tower books and The Tommyknockers...around...1998~2000.
I really don't remember XD

'Salem's Lot was my initiation into the World of Stephen King. I started reading bigger novels when I was... five or six. I started with the Hobbit.

I read Cujo when I was nine or ten, which pretty much explains my current fear of dogs xd

Lots of people read Eyes of the Dragon first, it seems. eek I did too. My mom's friend brought over a bunch of books, and this was one of them. I was about 8 years old, and only got partially through it, about to the part where Flagg tried to poison Sasha, then put it down because it was a little bit difficult. I picked it up again when I was 9, while home sick with a sore throat, and was much more successful in reading it this time. I didn't read any more king books until I was 15, though, and the one I picked up then was Wizard and Glass, because my friend was talking about it. Weird one to start off the DT series with, eh? O_o

(off topic: You too? I'm terrified of dogs...except my fear came from when a chihuahua chased me to school when I was in kindergarten sweatdrop )

The Long Walk. That one is my favorite out of all King's books I've read so far along with Desperation, 'Salem's Lot, and Rage.

I read The Long Walk three times. The first time was when I was in fifth grade. I'm in ninth now. Been a fan ever since!

Born in 82, definitely started reading King prior to 90.
I believe my first was Firestarter. I had on occasion skimmed whatever my dad was reading, so I could say what the first book of his was that I actually got to read ~part~ of. I remember reading random passages of The Tommyknockers pretty vividly, though.

The first one I read was Carrie....which is odd, because it came out the year I was born. O_o

Actually, that's why I read it first.....I was on this kick when I was about 10 to collect everything I could from the year I was born & that was the first book I ever bought for myself.
