"Thank you, luv." Klonoa answered.
Klonoa blushed and smiled when Rosette nuzzled him. He followed her to the plum tree and began to help her gatjer the fruits. Nadia was also helping, but it was difficult because of her small size. She grunted and placed a small plum on the leaf and wiped a jewel of sweat off her forehead.
"do you think this will be enough?" Klonoa asked through gathering plums.

She smiled as they took the plums back to the cave, "I think we should be fine." She said happily, looking at the piles of food they had gathered. "And we can always get more if we really need to."((Gotta go, TTYL!))

((Okay, byee! whee ))
A chilling wind swept through the forest, alerting the creatures it was very close to winter time. Klonoa nodded thoughtfully and walked back into the cave. The cozy fire had burned out, so Klonoa threw more sticks on it and set it on fire again. The cave was comfortably warm now, so he laid down and basked in the fire's cozy glow.
"It's nice in here." he asked, "Would you mind if I took a nap? I'm beat."

She shivered and moved closer to the fire, warming her still slightly damp fur. "I don't mind, I think I'll nap too, that was tiring." She said with a nod, curling up beside the jar of fireflies, watching the beautiful shadows and patterns they made until drifting off to sleep.

Klonoa woke up the find it extremely cold in the cave, the leaves at the entrance were being pelted with an unknown object. Klonoa moved one of the leaves aside and discovered that large snowflakes were raining down from the heavens. He hurried over to Rosette and knudged her with his snout.
"Rosette, wake up! It's snowing outside!" he said exitedly.

Rosette raised her head sleepily and looked at him, "No wonder its so cold." She said, standing up and swishing her tail a bit. "Good thing we already got food, eh?" She said, nudging him affectionately. "I suspect most of the food that we didn't get is frozen solid by now." She said with a laugh, sticking her head out of the cave between some leaves and receiving a facefull of snow because of it.
"Yes, it is a very good thing we already got the food." She said, shaking the snow off her face.

Klonoa nodded in agreement. He trudged over to Nadia, who was still sleeping, and nudged her.
"Mrrff...five more minutes...." she mumbled, turning over.
Klonoa sighed and shook his head.
"Nadia, wake up!" he urged, but Nadia just snored.
He took a deep breath and...
"WAKE UP!!" he roared in her ear.
"WHA?! I'm awake, I'm awake!" she yelled back.
Nadia fell out of her bed, startled by the sudden noise. Klonoa chuckled as Nadia scowled at him, entertained by her reaction.

Rosette giggled, "Wide awake now, eh sleepy?" She said with a chuckle, "Its snowing outside, you should see it! I wouldn't be surprised if we got snowed in for a few days." She said, shaking her head. "We may have to dig ourselves out if we want to get out, good thing I'm pretty good at that." She said with a smile.

Nadia walked over to where Rosette was and looked outside, getting covered with snow within a few seconds. She grunted a flailed her arms around, digging herself out.
Klonoa walked over tenderly to two eggs that were lying in the corner. One had a black stripe at the bottom, with two large orange dots. The other had an orange stripe in the middle, that was in between black and grey.
"Just think... soon, we're going to be parents!" he said exitedly to Rosette.

Rosette giggled at Nadia and walked over to look at the eggs, "Yes, it is exiting isn't it?" She said, licking his muzzle affectionately. "No doubt its going to be some hard work taking care of them though." She said with a chuckle, she knew kids could be quite the handful.

Snow... He hated the snow... Shanghai was in a foul mood, walking through the deepening snow to he didn't know where in an attempt to find something to eat. He had procrastinated gathering food for too long and now it looked too late. Just then he saw some leaves hanging in front of a cave, and it appeared to have a fire inside! He bounded over, and stuck his head in to see two tocous and a fairy, and he recognized them!
Why did he have to run into them? Oh well, "Hey Rosette, Klonoa, long time no see!" He said in an attempt at friendlyness, "May I come in? The snow out there is getting out of hand..."

"EAUGH!" Nadia cried out, tumbling over.
Klonoa jumped at the sudden voice, quickly covering the eggs with himself and slightly growling. Wait a minute, wasn't this the Tocou he had met when he was a mere child? Yes, it was! He stared at Rosette, wondering what she would do.
"Well, it wouldn't be right to just keep you out so... if you don't get near our kids!" he said, unsure why the dark Tocou was acting so different.

Rosette flinched and spun around, looking angrily at Shanghai, "Fine, but no tricks and absolutely no going near the eggs!" She said heatedly, though no longer afraid of the dark. "You may stay until the snow stops and then you are to be on your way, got it?"

Shanghai smiled, "Thank you, and congratulations to the lovely couple! I always knew you two would end up together." He said rougishly, stepping inside and standing near the fire to warm up. "Agreed Rosette, I'll leave when the weather lets up..." Shanghai had a habit of being polite when he needed something, and he did not want to be kicked out into the snow. These two were more than a match for him now that they were grown and he knew it.

Klonoa relaxed a bit, but still staying his ground with the eggs. He sat down, his tail wrapped around the two eggs. He turned his gaze to the food storage corner.
"Is anybody hungry? I managed to catch a few fish while we were collecting food." he offered, speaking more towards Rosette than Shanghai.
Nadia nodded and flew over to the eggs.
"Oh, I wonder what they'll look like!" she said quietly but exitedly.

Rosette smiled "I could do with some food," She said, walking over to the pile, "But I think I'll save the fish for later, sounds lovely though." She said, talking an apple and munching on it. "Here, just don't starve." Rosette said coldly to Shanghai, throwing a handful of acorns at him, hitting him hard on the head.
She chuckled at Nadia, "I think we all think the same." She said, smiling warmly.

"OW!!!" Shanghai said, rubbing his head where the acorns hit him. "Still a bit upset are we? Well thanks for the food anyways..." He mumbled, cracking one open and nibbling on the interior silently.

Klonoa picked a nectarine out of the pile and began chewing on it, his tail still fastened to the eggs.
"You should be grateful we even let you in here!" Klonoa said, turning to Shanghai.
He continued munching on the fruit until all that was left was the pit. He tossed the pit into a hole he had dug earlier, and tossed a few more sticks on the fire. he kept staring at Shanghai, eyeing his every move. One of his weaknesses is that he couldn't bare to have anything happen to the eggs, and the cubs inside them.
