No. Just. ********, no! Russell's eyebrows scrunched together like he was about to cry before falling into a nasty scowl. He scowled at Prosper, he scowled at the broom, he scowled at the axe. Nothing happened. He thought about dropping the broom and bolting for the door. He settled for...
"This is ridiculous." He sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Fine."
It was mean and more than a little heartless, but he couldn't stop himself from asking. "What happens if I don't take them?" The end of his question trailed off until his voice was very small. He had a feeling he already knew.

Prosper's expression became cold and blank as he sat up straight. He kept himself from narrowing his eyes to glare daggers at the man.
"To put it simply, nothing. They will remain here at Past Legacies Corp. and you shall continue to live your life as if this incident never occured. The Account shall remain here until a more suitable person comes along."
He watched Russell through slitted eyes and added, "You are not the only heir to this Account."

More suitable? Russell swallowed and nodded. "All right. I'm sorry I asked." Not what he had expected, but still not what he wanted to hear. He tried to smile, but it was extremely forced. He was the most suitable heir, and he was going to prove it. After all, he had been called here over his older sister. This place must have some taste.
He cracked his knuckles and grinned, more earnestly this time. "Where do I sign?"

Nodding grimly, the young English man began to pull out the papers from the manilla folder. He then drew out a polished black pen of ebony from his inner pocket. Slowly, Prosper unscrewed the cap.
Clearing his throat of irritation, the manager stated, "First you shall need to name the Account. I can tell you that it shall be a boy. After which we shall both sign this certificate and then transaction shall be complete."
His eyes then flew towards the broom and he asked politely, "What shall his name be?"

A name. Well, that was the next logical step. The only name on the scrap of paper that had brought him here was 'Michal,' but that was the Key's name, he had learned. A boy? His heart fluttered with some sort of strange nervous feeling before he blurted the only name that fit.
"Katurian. I think. Yeah, his name is Katurian." Russell just hoped the kid didn't get into black comedy when he got older. What a promise, naming a kid after someone who got shot in the head.

Giving a sharp nod, Prosper bent over the certificate as he wrote the name out in careful calligraphy on the document. His hand then moved down towards the lower right where he signed his name. Carefully, he turned the certificate towards the man Russell for the final signature.
"If you would sign here sir."
After laying the pen in front of the man, the manager prepared the Record. He opened the leather bound journal to the front page where there were corner slips awaiting the certificate.

Well, this was it. Russell picked up the fancy pen, his shaking hand only betraying his nervousness for a second before he signed, careful not to smudge the ink.
"Okay," he said, placing the pen back on the desk. It was a very heavy instrument and he didn't want to risk breaking something.

Gently lifting the certificate, Prosper blew on the ink to help it dry before slipping it into it's place within the Record.
The man stood up and closed the Record with a snap, holding it out for the now new Owner of the Account. "Please take care and I hope you have a nice day sir. I shall be in touch."
Prosper looked pointedly at the magical Record to emphasize the point that he would be watching the man closely.

"Thank you." Russell was quite proud that he sounded somewhat confident. He reached out for the record before turning around and heading out the door, broom and axe clutched to his body. He hoped that whole 'I'll be in touch' thing was just an empty threat.
