Goldeneye stared at the soft sand, the memories of beetles crawling over his hooves making him wince and step a little farther away from the water bucket. A small fly buzzed by his ear excitedly, and he flipped his head in such a way that a loose clump of hair thwacked the fly, killing it instantly and sending it to the ground.

Kaderac giggled. "That was a good one." She said with a grin. She wished she could do something like that. Not many horses had ever really had their revenge with the flies, and Goldeneye had just thwacked one to death with his mane.

Goldeneye smiled and nodded. "I guess after a while of practicing, you just keep getting better and better. Here, you wanna learn?"
He stepped closer to Kaderac, bringing the flies buzzing around his face with him.

"Hell, yea!" Kaderac answered with a grin. "I've spent too many years trying to shake off flies. I'd always wondered whether or not horses can kill flies." She said, staring off into space for a second as she began to wonder whether or not there was another way to kill flies. Oh, the evilness of flies...

Goldeneye laughed, then started his lesson with a purposeful tone in his voice. "Watch and see how I do this," he said, eyeing a fly buzzing by his ear. He slowly moved his head and positioned it in just the right way. Carefully, he pulled his head back, then...
WHACK!
The fly fell to the ground dead, one of it's legs still twitching. "You have to surprise it, basically," Goldeneye continued.

"It doesn't see you when you move?" Kaderac asked curiously.
Bzzzz....
The hated sound of buzzing wings filled the air as a fly closed in. Kaderac moved her head slightly... The fly whirled off. "See, it must have like a million eyes to be able to see that!"

"It sees you," Goldeneye agreed. "But you as the attacker needs to be quicker than the wee bugger. If it sees you and still gets thwacked, that's its own fault." He laughed and stepped closer to Kaderac, bringing the flies again. "But I'm sure that you can outwit a fly. Go on, try like I showed you."

Kaderac snorted, glaring at the little bugs. "They're smaller," She reasoned. "They can move faster." She stood still. A fly landed promptly on her neck. She could feel its legs like tiny pricks of pressure. She paused, taking a moment to breath, and then...
THWACK!
The fly droned its wings, and fell to the ground.
