The wall of water went down as the man disapeared. She looked around, seeing that he was no where to be found. Bella quickly walked down the path she was one. She only hoped that the other five could hold out against him.

((Sorry, I'm going to interupt, so pretend this post is right after Bella's last one.))
Tch. Every time. Everytime he traveled, someting like this seemed to happen, a kind of social plague.
Akumu lent against a tree, just beyond sight. He'd be walking quietly through the forest when he heard the voice of a man making threats. Akumu doubted he was capable of following through with such presumputious statements. Kill chosen ones? See them again? Chosen ones were the stongest each nation had to offer, and they were on the move a lot, he doubted either threat we come of anything. However, the event was not a total loss, for he had failed to notice the girl being assaulted before now. She was beautiful, no point denying. And, apparantly, she was a chosen one too. However, he was really bothered by something else in the exchange. The plague. He called to her in a calm voice.
"That was an awfully drastic conclusion to jump to, don't you think?"

Bella stopped and looked around. She saw Akumu leaning against a tree. "Well it was a good conclusion. Who else would be out to kill me, and aparently you." She said looking at him with her ice blue eyes. She walked over to him, her grip still tight around her staff. "So you are one of the chosen I am to meet up with then?"

"I've committed no crime, I see no reason for my own people to kill me.",
Akumu said, still calm and restrained, but with a definate edge to his voice. He wondered if she had gotten the clue. She seemed intellegent enough, but you just never knew. Either, it was trivial, he decided, and continued into a proper introduction
"Water, I take it? Akumu, representing Darkness. And you?"
Icy grey pupils met unyeilding blue, and he offered a hand.

Bella nodded. "Yes water, I am Bella prestess of the water demons." She took his hand. "So now there are two only four more to find us." She smiled as she looked into his grey eyes with her own ice blue eyes.

Drake had followed the river into the forest. He stopped next to it and took a drink. He didn't mind water, like a lot of people would think...it just wasn't his favorite element. He looked up and saw two people talking to each other. The first was obviously a dark elf and the second had a large staff and her hair was blue. "I wonder if they are other chosin ones." He wondered out loud.

"Yes. Well, since we're together, it would make sense to travel the rest of the way together as well, right?" He said, relenquishing a small smirk for her. She was being quite nice now. Nice, like everyone else was after they were caught red-handed being racist. Classic, classicly fake. Akumu hoped the others weren't as conceited as the water woman.

Drake raised an eyebrow and stood up, his green cloak fluttering and his armor settling. He shook his head and called out to them. "Excuse me? Mind if I come along also??"

Drake raised his hand and snapped his fingers. Over his fingers poped a small flame. He waved his hand and the flame folowed it, growing into a ball. Drake opened his hand and the flam ball set in it. He pulled back his hood with his other hand, reveling his strange body. Might as well. he thought to himself.
He looked at them through eyes with white puples. His black spicked hair glinting in the sun and his scales shining.
"Yah I am." He said and twirled the flam ball.

"Fancy the odds of such a meeting. Truely, the work of gods."
Akumu said. Once again, he extended his hand, looking the young fire mancer in the eye. He rather liked to make eye contact whenever possible, particularly on first meetings. Other's reactions were so easily gaged by such an action. Bella was defiant, unwavering and confidant. Akumu was certain she would prove so at the negociating table as well. And now, he was anxious to judge this new aquaintance.
"Clearly, you're the fire weilder, so I'll only ask for your name."

Drake opened his hand and let the flam fall into it. He closed his fist, quelching the flame. He picked up his baggs and walked accros the river and too the elf's hand. He was amazing that he hadn't even reacted to him. He is a dark elf though. They are used to odd things.
Drake returned the elf's gaze strongly. He may be a 'halfbreed', but he was half dragon, and the best merc alive.

Akumu restrained a snort. Was this man trying to impress him? Holding his gaze, staring intensely? Other races were so strange. Akumu, closed his eyes and let an easy smirk spread across his face. That was all he needed to see. Aggressive, sensitive to the opinions of others; too easy. However, cruel as his thoughts sounded, even to himself, he had to admit that he envied such simplicity. Perhaps he had found something of an alter ego in this little quest; someone to oppose without intention of real harm. But that was a thought for later, once the journey had truely begun. Meanwhile, Akumu still awaited the man's name...
