FakeSoul I fell in love at the tender age of 10. I saw the video of Mechanical animals on new year's eve, he frightened me. 2 months later 3 weeks after I'd turned 10, I was watching MTV and the had the video (ma), I tried to run out of the room, but my cousins locked me in... I sat in the corner crying and then I looked up, and I saw the twisted beauty that is Marilyn Manson. I've loved him ever since. In a way I felt that I was not supposed to like him, until I read The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell, then I saw some similarities to the way I was living then. They never made a video for Mechanical Animals... ever. I think you might have either saw The Dope Show, I don't like the Drugs, or Coma White.

The first songs I really remember hearing was Dope Show and The Beautiful People because they were really popular at the time. I was only about 11 though..And my family would make fun of how he was a "freak" so I liked him in secret. Two years ago I downloaded those two songs then I heard Slutgarden...(I thought it was an old song at the time) and I sort of fell in love but felt like I had some sort of disease for liking him.
Finally I found a friend who didn't despise Manson and she suggested I got the Lest We Forget CD.. then it was the book and so on and so forth.
My parents still sometimes tease me that I like him and that I'm "goth" ...which I'm not really. I don't even own any black clothes. And Manson is the only "dark" music I listen to. sweatdrop

I only got into Manson about 3 or 4 years ago. I had started getting into rock when I was 11 *first good band I ever liked was Gorillaz and first obsessed song was Chop Suey by System Of A Down*. After that a year or two later I saw the video for 'mOBSCENE'. At first I watched because hot chicks in amazing makeup and then I watched it as often as possible and by the third time finally realized the amazing-ness that is Manson himself. From there it was kind of a snowball effect. I couldn't get enough of his music fast enough. I got so addicted to him and here I am now. Still addicted and enjoying every minute of it.

Talamascan I only got into Manson about 3 or 4 years ago. I had started getting into rock when I was 11 *first good band I ever liked was Gorillaz and first obsessed song was Chop Suey by System Of A Down*. Manson is your only drug? hes pretty much my only drug too.^^
