i agree... and even in the guide for Hunter x Hunter it states that Kurapika is a male... but people still insist that he is a girl...

I've heard a million different people referencing the official Hunter x Hunter guide. But I have yet to actually see this guide of which they speak.
'Tis slightly frustrating yet mildly amusing at the same time. x3

Um... if you go on ebay right now... quite literally... and look up Hunter x Hunter... and I would put quotes around it if I were you... toward the bottom of the first page... or maybe on the second... they have the guide up... and you don't need an account to search for it either.

There's a website which had scans from the guide, but unless you can read Japanese it's only good for the pictures. Unfortunately their image gallery is down for the time being.

I don't know about Hiruiseki's Ebay suggestion, but the website I found was in Italian, so it makes sense that you never found it.

i've never really gone looking for the guide myself... but i knew about it... So when i saw it on Ebay i was a little surprised... i don't often see manga guides and stuff like that. They are also selling 1-22 of them manga... and another person is/was i am not sure selling 23 for the manga... but I don't trust the condition of their books.

well, so long as they aren't selling volume 24 they should be fine. oh, and about kurapika being male *spoiler* when he captures kuroro, kuroro mentions something to the fact of "i didn't realize you(chain user) were a girl" and kurapika's responce is "who said i'm a girl"*spoiler* this happens in the first ova. so this concludes my arguement on this subject.

I know he's a guy, but because I love to argue... x3
--> Just because Kurapika says something like that doesn't mean he can't be a girl. All he really means is don't assume. He could have even been trying to confuse Kuroro, keep him off "her" trail. <--
Alright. windy's done being unreasonable now. ^^

Uh... yeah... wow... we all know he's a guy... and Windi-chan brings up a good point... Kurapika could have been throwing Kuroro off his game... but you also see the part where Leorio was gambling in the tower during the Hunter exam... He had made a comment about betting if kurapika was a girl... and then kurapika saw him looking over at him and was confused... but i think he had an idea as to what was going through Leorio's mind.

windlily My gosh, that would be hilarious! x3 Milluki a bishie!? xDD
And yes, Kurapika is topless on one of the covers. I'm of the opinion that Togashi-sensei did it just to stop people from arguing over whether Kurapika was a boy or a girl. x3 Thank goodness he did. I didn't want to be in love with a girl. x_X I'm already having trouble with my love-life as it is! xD lol

I guess it's kind of both a blessing and a curse. Like Monk. x33
Every once in a while you'll encounter someone like Menchi, and you'll be glad you look like that. But then there are the blind peoples who confuse your gender and start hitting on you. xD
Poor, lucky Kurapika. ^^
