Yo my username is DaikonMarionette (as you can see already), but you can call me Daikon or Tang, whichever one you want. I'm 16 years old (17 in a month) and I like japanese culture and the festivals. I've never been to Japan before but if I do go in the future I would like to see the Sadako Sasaki monument, because I've idolized her when I read "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes" in fourth grade xDxP. I would like to join the Tanabata and Obon festival in Japan as well.
Besides that, I am a huge fan in anime, and I think I'm slowly getting absorbed by anime characters and actually acting like them IRL ^^;;. Well, I hope to get along with all of ya!

I dont currently have my writing up anywhere, but If you want, I can post one of my short stories, or chapter by chapter of one of my novels. Or I could pm them to you. I'm working on getting one published. It's entitled "Niji Hoshi" I'll let you all know if it get's published. And yes, you may call me Quetzal, or anything else. The way I chanced upon my name, is a secret, sorry.

I'm assuming it's a JP story then from the title? What's the exact translation? Rainbow Star? If/when the writing subforum gets up, maybe you can post it there x]

Hey minna-sama! I'm Kazeko, well, not really of course... actually, I'm an 18 year old girl from Holland who hates her true name so much that she prefers to call herself Kazeko xD Hehe, I've been interested in Japan ever since I was 12. It was when my best friend, who's sister lives in Japan, and is a translator there, showed me manga. Okay, I agree, when you like manga, you don't have to like Japan.
Actually, I kinda think that is a missunderstanding to a lot of 'Manga/ Anime fans'. They all like 'Oh I love Japan! I'm totally in love with the country, and it's culture!' NO your not.... sorry to get all excited at my first post... xD
Anyway, getting back to my introduction, after reading more and more manga, I got interested in the culture behind it, and I started to study the language. When I got the proper age, I started a part time job, with only one goal for the money: An exchange with Japan. So, that's what I did last year.
During the summer, I spent a month in Japan, which was probably the best month of my life. I learned a lot, both good and bad things about the country and it's people. But even the bad isn't preventing me to start saving up for another trip to Japan, which is what I am doing now.
After the summer break, I will start college, with tourism as a major, and a job related to Japanese (tourism) as my goal.
This was a bit about my Japan related life, which I thought would be most relivant to put here, though, there are lots of other aspects about me. For which you do not have to hesitate to ask me about ^^
heart Kazeko
P.S. As mentioned before, I'm a girl from Holland, so English isn't my native language, therefore, non of my linguistic mistakes are intential.

OH NOES NOT YOU TOO. Hahaha anyways, welcome to our guild! And no, your real name is fine. Of course, you could always change it, since you're of legal age to (Or does Holland have different policies?). Please enjoy your stay, and make sure you don't harass me too much. xD
