he smirked, " not here other then to prevent you fromgetting hurt... least i hope i can. look for things to aid you in the area when you are trying to accomplish things. there are things that will boost you an extra coupe feet all over," he cast a sidelong glance at a falled tree that had a log about a foot and a half high that had broken off, "for instance. that, it looks like its about ohh.. 20 pounds or so, you can move it over.. i am jsut the moderator lass.. and the person whom will catch you should you choose to fall."

he stands patiently behind her and whispers, "just believe in yourself zahar."

SK smiles broad thinking, "ata girl. jsut do this i know ya can." he tesses slightly ready to sping to catch her should she fall.

Artimis crept from bush to bush. looking this way and that. all of a sudden his jaw dropped. there was a fish in the stream.. and it was huge! it was so large that in the shallowest spots its back came out of the water. he couldnot see its head due to the rushing water but knew that if he could catch that fish that sk would probably be very proud of him.
he degan to stalk the fish upstream untill it came to an alcove. the pool on the side was deeper but it had very shallow hump that the fish hat do get over to get in the calm pool. it mangaged to get in the pool easily..

Art glanced atound saw a dead tree overhanging the shallow ledge. to the pool. he crept behind it and pushed with all his might. the tree budged but would not fall, damn it he swore inturnaly. he looked around adaing and saw a long pole like log an manuvered it to the tree and wedged it there. it seemed sturdy. useing it like a lever he pressed down as hard as he could.the tree moved a little more but still would not fall. he let out a mental yell curse this time, DAMN!,

SK smirked knowing zahar would hear that and hopefully be able to spot the boy. he was close. probably only 120 meters away or so now.. maybe more... he couldnt tell for sure. but jsut judging my how long they had been out in the woods and knowing art was prablly running when he wasnt getting distracted.


Art peared around the log noteing the huge shadow at the bottom of the 5 foot deep pool restign there. he would not let the fish get the better of him. he huffed mentally the looked around again he climbed on the log he had wedged under the tree and jumpped up and down. the tree gave a fair bit anf he allmost fell but managed to regain his balance enough to leap of and land on his feet and role on the soft grass. he smiled.. if he could jump from higher up.. he glanced to another tree and climbed up up tree with nimble childlike recklessness. he skitteded out on to a branch slowly an leapt off langing on the log . he felt it it bend under him once again loseing his balance. his eyes went wide as the tree fell across the path off the pool and at the same time the logg splintered near where the base of the tree was. a moment later he was lying on his bacl no the soft grass, and jsut opened his eyes intime to see a rather lrag chunck of the wood falling to land squarely on his head. there was a crack and as it his his mank and the top of his head.

he mentally groaned and roaled holding his head. oh how that had hurt!! hw did not expect his mask to be do sensative, or maybe it was his head that was... he pulled his ahdn away noting a littl bit of blood that was on the edge of his mask and in his hair. he lay there breathing heavily. until he felt he could stand again.. sometihng that small wouldnt ahve stopped SK he thought. he would have been up and moving by now. heck he would have probably caught the fish and had it cooking over a roaring fire by now.

CURSE THE ABYS AND EVERYTHING IN IT, he swore loudly useing an oath that SK spat out sometimes when he was frustrated.

SK nearly burst out laughing. a man after his own heart he thought. cursieng the abyss at such a young age art, he said softly, be careful what you curse, you never know who or... what might be listening.. nah im jsut messin with you. uless you are ever in the abyss that is... then stear clear of that one.

Artimis smiled a little. standing he said, im gonna have a surprise for you when i find you,.

really? great. be on your toes or she will find you first... he let his voice trail off pretty certain of how this would all panout when it was all said and done.

he smirk and nodded letted zahar getout of the tree then motioned for her to continue.

with reniewed vigor he grabbed a large piece of the broken stick that would function as a spear adn started off to get himself a trophy fish! the shadow was still down at base of the pool though it was swimming back and forth in a agitated fashion. it came to the surface, and a gnarl toothed maw opened larger then artimis head and snapped closed on a branch of the tree snapping i off before thrashing down to the base of the pool again. if atrs face could pale at that site he was pretty sure it would have. how could he possible hope to squweer this monsterous fish.. i looked like it was 75lb at the lightest and there were horns!! it had small horns.. perhaps... perhaps he should jsut let sk see it... yes.. sk would want to see it a live he told himself. and then plopped on the ground to take a short break befor continuing on as his head was hurting quite a bit.

he smirked, "you are always glowing," he said with a wink and stuck out his tounge, " i am goin to dissapear and monitor this little competition from the shadows, you have fun with this and do your best," he turned and strode silently into the bushes, even the leaves he brushed against made almost no sound and in a matter of a few seconds he was gone from view.

Zahar gaped at the last rustle of the leaves. "Wait! SK!" She said in a loud whisper to the nothing beyond the trees. With a light sigh she moved further down the river always wary if the trees and bushes start to thin. Her fingers start to worry at her dress as she makes it close to where Artimis would be. "Am I supposed to sneak up on him... or just find him..." Zahar pondered as she peered through the bushes at what looked like Art in the river a little ways ahead.

She sighed as she looked directly over at the fallen log. Nothing was there. Maybe I had just been hearing things. Zahar needed to find an area that had cover to cross with, and shallow water preferable so she made the least amount of sound crossing. Heading further down the river she found some over hanging trees. It wasn't the best cover but it would do well enough. Zahar would have to wade through water just below knee length to ge tto the other side. SK probably was on the other side by now, but then again if Artimis was on the side she was now maybe SK would still be near her. She shook her head and sighed. Why does it matter where SK is?
