Kalaeris I agree. There's no point in having to make all the specs for the new MS and go through the process for 10+ people. We can give the older characters upgrades after we've got the RP well under way.
Any name ideas as to Kira's proposal for something to counter the N-Jammer Canceller? Something fancy? Hmm... name ideas... I'm very bad with names... xp I agree that Kira, Shinn, and the others should all stay with their old mechs so we don't have to spend a lot of time trying to name them and all. I agree with Mrs. Athrun Zala on the Athrun subject as well. Hmm... nuclear fission cells... It sounds quite nice and I can't think of anything better. xp

yes, nuclear fission cells sound cool...and very scientific.
yes, keeping Kira, Shinn and everyone else with their old mechs makes sense...how many new mechs are we granting then?

well....i've come up with some names:
The X209 Eternity (which I didn't really come up with ^^")
The X219 Infinity
The 4184 Eagle Claw
The 4626 Raptor
...they aren't very good....but anyways, we need at least 4 new mechs
Characters that I am proposing should use them:
-"Ryoku"
-"Tarren"
-"Eric"
-"Rachel"
...and by the way...are we giving Cagalli a new mech too?

I really like the name "Leviathan" as well. It means "Sea Monster" for those that do not know. I was thinking that because, you know, the Ocean Republic and all... sea... water... ocean... yeah. xp
I think Cagalli should get a new mech later on in the story.
Is [Niarei] basically just a civilian or does she have a deeper agenda?

lol, as long as it fits the storyline as we go along...she can be anything you want. you can change to name too if you do not like it.

Better than anything I can think of, thats for sure.
I also agree with everyone else, Athrun, Kira and Shinn should just sick to their old mechs, it would be hard to think of other mechs for them all, it would take up too much time.
The idea about giving Cagalli a new mech sounds good, but probably later on in the story, I don't see the need of a new mech so soon. Since her role is somehow like a mediator or peacekeeper among the others nations, as well as ORB.

Yeah, I'm with hodge. Cagalli has no need of a MS at the moment, and her importance at the beginning is as a peacekeeper, so we do have to keep that in mind. Maybe near the end of our series, when we figure out when that is, we can give Cagalli an MS.
As well, where are the new MS coming from? Who's developing them? What's their specialty and weakness? Obviously Rachel's will be from the OR, and in that case it should have a different label, for example, the EA's was GAT and ZAFT's was ZGMF... we should make an acronym for the OR MS as well. The X always stands for eXperimental, so we can just tack on GAT, ZGMF or whatever we come up with to each of those labels. And we should make it clear that the labels have different links. So if we have 209 and 219, they should be closely labelled to each other. In my Gundam book, there's a SEED section at the front... it seems that the Calamity (131) was related to the Strike (105) and the Buster (102), if you get my point, maybe that's what we should be aiming for when we plan the MS.

That's correct, Kal. The numbers at the end of the mobile suit represent what type of mobile suit it is, and what special features it has. I don't remember them all, but with the GAT-X303 Aegis, (I think that's what it was... correct me if I'm wrong), the 3 meant "mobile armor", like Sky Grasper.
And concerning the Cagalli mech WAY above, Cagalli still has Akatsuki, doesn't she? Dearka and Yzak didn't have very advanced mobile suits in the begining either. Maybe we can just give them upgraded versions of Buster and Duel. Um, I agree with Athrun not having a mobile suit if he is under the sun, if you know what I mean.
And I really like the idea of Rachel having the Leviathan mobile suit. I think that will really suit her. lol, get it? Mobile "suit". Okay, that was stupid....
Okay, I think that's all I have to add. You guys are really working hard. It's actually really inspiring with how hard everyone is working on this. I wish I could get on more, but I'm really busy. crying

I thought Cagalli handed Akatsuki over to Neo (which, by the way, is completely OOC in my opinion), so now she doesn't have a MS. I suppose if Kira managed to repair that Strike Rouge of hers he completely wrecked trying to get to the Eternal in episode 38, then Cagalli could have that for the time being, although I still wouldn't think she'd need it any time soon.
About the Duel and the Buster... well, Yzak and Dearka are obviously not using them now, so yes, we'll have to consider something for them. I think that something along the ideas of what Duel and Buster had behind their creation would be good, but not exactly the same. Yzak's MS, I imagine, would be light and more melee-styled, while Dearka's would feature a lot of long-range weapons.

it all sounds good to me.
personally...i like the idea of giving two MS to [[Ryoku]] and [[Tarren]]. it seems to suite what they have to do...and the names Eternity and Infinity sound good too...so we can go with those...but scrap the other two Angel ^^"
and i adore the Leviathan as "Audrina"'s MS...sounds powerful =P
yes, the Akasuki is Neo's now...so Cagalli cannot use it...and the Strike Rouge? How can you fix it? It's legs are gone, it's arms are gone...the only thing left was the head and the cockpit.
i like the idea of upgrading the Duel and the Buster. Kali's ideas suite them well.

...but thank you for supporting the ideas for using the Eternity and Infinity names.
i do not think Cagalli can use ANY of her former gundams...but i think that if we want her to come back into the spotlight, she will HAVE to get another gundam later on...
...maybe to help Athrun? or Kira.
We definitely need to use the "Leviathan". it matches the plot and character lines well. good idea Hikari-san!
Perhaps we can upgrade the Duel in the melee weapons field with items like those strike daggers. and the Buster would do well with a double cannon of some sorts.

i found the name X209 Eternity on one of the Japanese Gundam sites that was showing the origins for the Destiny. i thought it would be appropriate to use that model name...but we can change it if it doesn't suite you guys ^^"

Okay, 1. I'm not an expert on gundam mechanics so forgive me if I don't give my opinion on it. sweatdrop
2. It does seem impossible to have the Strike Rouge fixed, but they were able to fix Freedom as well and that was beyond destroyed at the end of SEED. So if Freedom can be rebuilt then the same can happen to Strike Rouge. I think even the cockpit was destroyed on Freedom, wasn't it?
