The cold air of Bern's climate swept past Nino as she threw open her windows. The bright-eyed girl inhaled deeply, allowing the refreshing substance to flow around her face and into her lungs. Brushing a vibrant green lock behind an ear, she beamed down at an incinerated tree in the courtyard. "So being stuck here in the mountain fortress HAS paid off," Nino sighed happily. Just yesterday, Nino had taken an old, beaten up tome from the supply and had successfully managed to cast a spell. Granted, it had unexpectedly fried and innocent, by-standing tree, but a spell nonetheless. 'Elfire,' Uncle Jan had called it. Nino didn't know. She had just been watching Mother and managed to remember that one spell.
It was a plus to being all alone at the Black Fang hideout. Uncle Legault had disappeared, and Lloyd and Linus were off somewhere else. There was no one to play with or to talk to. Well, Mother was there, but Mother didn't even seem to want to look at Nino most of the time.
Nino straightened her cloak, determined to try and change Mother's attitude towards her. "Maybe...maybe I could impress her this time," the girl said quietly.

The fierce blowing Bern winds ceased revealing the tall shapes of two young men walking to the Fang's Fortress. One was taller then the other and had a "beard." The other was ripped with muscles and wore no shirt under the twin trenchcoats the two men wore. Lloyd, the taller one brushed th esnow out of his hair and looked around. "Good. I do not think that woman is here." Linus, the other growled. "No. Sonia is not here but her daughter is right over there." Lloyd answered calmly pointing at Nino who was looking at the tree she fried. "Um... Lloyd? Look over at that tree. There is only one mage up here and... Nino! Whoah... She finally learned a fire spell thingy." Linus was gaping at the dead tree. Lloyd took his leave from his brother and went to his room. He opened a drawer and pulled out a portrait of his mother. He put the portrait away soon after and opened his journal. We have just got back from our recent job. The two other Fangs have not been seen in awhile. Linus suspects that Sonia is using them and i think he is right. Legault and Uhai have left also. Father says that they went to Valor but I do not see why he would send them there unless he wants to build a base in the Dragon's Gate. Hmm... Linus and I will have to look into this.

Arriving in Bulgar just as the sun was setting, the nomadic girl jumped off her horse and quickly made haste the shop. Only a minute away from the town square, she briskly walked past two men coated in armor. Though she continued walking, she looked over her shoulder breifly to get a second look at the two gentlemen. They were definitely knights of some sort, but it was odd to see cavaliers or noblemen in Bulgar unless they hailed from Bern. By the look of their armor, they were not. Though curious of their business, the emerald-haired girl diverted her focus to reaching the shop before they would lock the doors.

((I need sprite url’s of Guy and Pent please…))
The winds were calm as Guy starred into the endless void known as the night sky. His gaze was unwavering, not including his constant stomach pains. As Guy sat up he looked around him only to realize that he was once again in the plains of Sacae, where he was born. Guy snatched his pack from within the tall grass where he had laid it and gazed at its contents. He sighed as he re-iterated the contents to himself, “One Vulenary…and two killing edges…” He once again gazed into the night sky. “Damn…I need work…” The swordsman then stood up and walked amongst the plains of his past.

Matthew had gone to Bulgar on Lord Hector's orders to find out what was happening in Bern. As Bern didn't exactly invite travellers past it's borders, Bulgar was as close as Matthew could get. The best place he knew to get information was at a tavern or brothel. Because the whores weren't exactly to his taste, the tavern was preferred. Erk laid on his bed in an inn with a massive book propped up against the pillow. The mage didn't really want to be in Bulgar, but Lord Pent had suggested him to go; something about destiny that Athos spoke about... Whatever it was, it was rather slow!

The staccato of Nino's feet resounded as she descended countless steps. Her cloak whirled around stylishly as she burst through the open double doors, a tome under her arm. She hoped it was the Elfire spellbook, since she had just grabbed a random one off the shelf that Mother probably wouldn't beat her for.
The girl scurried to courtyard, eager to try casting again. To her delight, she found Lloyd and Linus standing RIGHT there. They seemed to be looking elsewhere. Nino grinned. All the better for her.
"LLOYD! LINUS! THINK FAST!" Nino yelled, launching herself at the two brothers.

Karel was walking around a Lycian Village. He was searching...searching for an enemy. As he walk down an old ally, Women and child would close their home, leaving only skilled fighters alone. Some charge on him with no luck of living. Only one survive, but not for long. After finishing him, he left the village, wandering off to the next place and soon, a graveyard. Rath, a wandering nomad, decided to step into Caelin borders. he left his horse at a stable were he was fed and groom. As for him, Rath march into an inn for a rest.

The sun was directly overhead of the path where a pale-skin and blond haired monk walked alongside a more tanned redhead. The monk, in his heave robes was walking slightly slower than the other man as he tried to keep his breath. The midday heat was definitely taking its toll on Lucius, the monk, though not so much the heat under the robe, the fact that it was physically exhausting him to walk.
“Lord Raymond…” he said slowly and took a deep breath. “When we get to Ostia… what exactly is it we plan on doing again?” he asked him, but smacked himself in his mind as he realized he had probably asked the question already.
His gaze remained fixed ahead on the trail as he kept hoping to get a glimpse of Castle Ostia, or even some sign of civilization along the horizon. He knew Raymond would not want to stop until they got there, and Lucius was not one to defy the young mercenary.

A small breath of air escaped the young redhead's lips as his traveling companion, Lucius, asked the same question yet again; for the... what was it? Sixth time in the past two hours. Raven understood that it was hot outside, and he understood that under all those robes the monk must be quite hot, but really, did he have to complain so much?
"For the sixth time, Lucius," he said, exhasperated, "I am going to have my revenge on Ostia." Reaching down to his belt, he took off a bottle of water that hung on it, taking a few gulps before finally releasing it from his mouth, a satisfied kind of 'that felt good' noise emitting from him as he finished. Turning slightly as he walked, he stretched his arm behind him, offering Lucius some.
"Thirsty?"

There was no wind after Florina had left her Ilian home, making it perfect for flying. She was going to be letting her friend know she was a mercenary before becoming a freelance. "Let's see, I have vulnaries, my lance, and a map. I should be stopping in a nearby forest today, some mountains by Sacae tomorrow, and I'll be seeing Lyn in three days!" She exitedly said. "And after seeing her, I'll head to Santaruz and find someone who'll hire me! But if no one will hire me I'll join a wing of Ilia's pegasus knights, like my sister, Fiora!" And on that note, she headed for Sacae. (( Johnny Falls, I have a *cough* evil *cough* plan if our characters meet wink ))

Taking another deep breath, Lucius began jogging to catch up, though that probably didn’t help him much. Now, his legs were slightly in pain from the exhaustion. He winced as Raven scolded him for the … sixth … time about their plans. The monk was not stupid, though he was passive, and wouldn’t say anything against Raymond, but he knew they were “getting revenge”. Lucius just wanted to know how so he could go about it in a civil manner.
When Raven offered him the water he gladly took it, with a smile. “Thank you…” he mumbled and took a sip, moistening his dry throat. “… Lord Raymond.”

Lloyd, being a swift swordmaster, dodged Nino but Linus was tackled by the young girl. Lloyd lost it seeing his little brother getting ''attacked'' by Nino. "Nino. We had no idea you were here. Where is... Sonia?" Linus held back the urge to insult her. "Nino," Lloyd glared at his brother, "Father said that you have my our next mission. Could you please give it to us? We'd love to stay but father is very serious when it comes to doing our duties."

"Eh-heh...Sorry!" Nino said, scratching her head sheepishly.
She backed off, straightening her tunic. "Eh...Your mission...right?" she asked, taking a few moments to remember.
"Ah! Now I remember! There's been some mysterious activity on the Sacae-Bern border. They didn't give me all the information, but apparently, a group of bandits has asserted itself over some of the small villages of Bern. You guys are supposed to go free the villages, I guess."
Nino paused before asking tentatively, "Lloyd? Linus? Could I come with you? I mean, there's nothing to do here, and I could practice my magic on the way!"

The mercenary didn't reply, his eyes fixed ahead of them. It always seemed that, if you were thirsty and you took something to drink, that you were always even thirstier afterwards. He certainly didn't intend on saying that, though.
Raven had to admit now, it /had/ been getting quite hot out here. He brought up one hand to wipe his forehead, which was collecting new bits of persperation now.
"We must be close," he stated, breaking the silence as they continued walking. He didn't have any particular signs that were telling him that they were, but they'd been traveling for quite a while; that must count as something.
[Sorry Brandon, couldn't quite come up with much... ><;]

Linus and Lloyd talked for a moment and Lloyd said, "Nino. I do not think it is a good idea but it is up to you. We are leaving tomorrow. Meet us at the Wyvern's pen if you wish to come with us." Linus turned and walked away as Lloyd sat down next to Nino.
"Nino. There has been something bothering Linus and I. We do not... we don't trust Son... your mother. There is something about her that we do not like. If I see Jaffar I am telling him to watch over you. You can come woth us if you want but I do not want you near when we have to kill anyone."
Lloyd stood up and followed after Linus to inside the fort.
