"Fateful words," Xiao murmured, walking through the door and surveying the room coolly. It was small, plain, and filled with the barest necessities, including a bed, a table, a bathroom, and a desk/chair set. It wasn't home to her... yet. She'd find some way to personalize it.
Xiao dipped into her pocket, drawing out a holocron. She held it to the light, admiring its crystalline structure. It had been given to her years ago by a non-Force user. He had been fearful of the fact that it had the power to drive a man insane. Xiao had accepted the gift free of charge (after a threat or two).
She figured that if the Dark Jedi masters here wanted to see it, they'd ask. But, then again, she never knew. She placed it on the table with a silent dare to the master, inviting him to take it, use it, do whatever to it.

Xanta stepped back and watched Xiao enter and set down her stuff. His eyebrows shot up in amusement as she pulled out the holocron.
That is quite a trinket you have there...hard to come by these days. Perhaps you have another?

Xiao wiped dust off of the flat surfaces, shooting a glances at Xanta, then the holocron. The device floated in the air, mediating between the two Dark Jedi. Xiao raised her eyebrows. "Trinket? Yes. Another? No. This is all I have." She gave a finising wipe at the dust, shaking her cloth at the floor.

Xiaoxing straightened, and the holocron dropped into her open palm. "A crystalline storage device," she said flatly. "Force-users would record their knowledge inside the thing using primited holo-technology. It's implemented with interactive devices that allow the recorder and the listener to hold legitamate conversations. Jedi holocrons are rare, but Sith holocrons are even fewer."

Xanta snorted.
I know what a holocron is, Xiaoxing. I wondered simply how one such as yourself might come by one. It must a wonderfully dark story.
Xanta's eyebrows raised in inquiry.

Xiao's eye twitched. "If you wish to know," she said flatly, "then there's no need to dance around the subject." Xiao layed down on her bed in a relaxed position. "I was merely traveling through a superstitious planet with a comrade of mine; we found that the inhabitants thought we were posessed with evil demons because of our Force abilities... we were able to frighten a great many of them into giving us valuables. That thing, however," Xiao tossed the holocron up. "Was given to me in place of a sacrifice." Xiao shrugged, and used the Force to activate the cube. A blurred image of the Gatekeeper, Kla appeared. "But the thing is useless-- merely a device to lure naiive Jedi to their doom." Xiao replaced the object on the table. "Unless you want to become the spirit's vassal." She paused thoughtfully. "But perhaps you could put it to better use. Gatekeeper Kla only allows a merciless killer to use his knowledge. Apparently I'm not at that state yet," she spat.

Xanta nodded slowly, walking over to the table and picking up the holocron in his hand.
Hetzon had one of these...he was constantly using it, documenting everything he did when he discovered something...new about the Force out here. His techniques were interesting, and the knowledge contained in that holocron must be enormous by now. Perhaps...perhaps...
Xanta allowed the Force to flow into the holocron and it lit up, alive with power coming from no visible source. A hollow, yet distinctly evil voice, echoed through the room.
One awakens me that would know my secrets, and who appears to be worthy of them. I am Kla, the Gatekeeper. Who calls on me?
Xanta bowed.
I am the Dark Jedi Master Xanta. I seek the knowledge contained within this device.
Indeed. Well met, Xanta...I have not tasted such...blind hatred and lust for power in a very long time. Your desire for power seems directed at primarily one source, but that is for another time. What is it you wish to know?
I am a seeker for knowledge, Gatekeeper. I wish to know all you can teach me.
Very well, but that will take some time. Perhaps we will begin our training tomorrow.
With that the holocron went dark again. Xanta looked at Xiaoxing and then picked the device up off the table, tucking it into his pocket.
I am going to take this and use it for now, Osaka. Rest assured...it is yours, and you shall have it back, but I must have the knowledge contained within. Good night.
With that, Xanta turned on his heel and stalked out, heading for his quarters to sleep and meditate.

Xiao rasied her eyebrow. "If he tells you to go to Korriban, don't listen," she mused. Indeed, may Jedi Knights, in hopes of receiving the ultimate power, had been lured to their deaths thanks to Kla's manipulation. But, if he found someone strong enough, Kla would explain to the user almost anything-- in detail-- of what happened under the benevolent rule of Naga Sadow.
Xiaoxing had great respect for the Dark Jedi. A thought hit her; very few Dark Jedi kept holocrons, but they still existed. If she could use Darth Bane's immense knowledge of the galaxy to find out other locations... Xiao rose from her bed, changed clothing, and flipped her hair behind her shoulder, pulling it behind her head with a leather scrap.

Xiao stretched her muscles several times, preparing for some daily muscle toning. She touched the ground several times, hooked her arms behind her back, sat on the floor and reached foreward... then she stood up, twisting her torso from side to side before shaking her hair back again.
She hadn't been at the Temple for more than a day, and already she felt stronger. However, what she was most thankful for was the absence of Alan. The b*****d needed to be taught a lesson... from his own partner. After all, he had hesitated. Hesitated! He claimed to be an assassin, a mercenary, a killer for hire, but yet he couldn't bring himself to kill his latest prey.
Xiao refused to be associated with that man any longer. She had made a silent promise to him before she ditched his traveling party that she would set him straight... and show him what a real killer could do.
"Real killer..." she thought to herself. She frowned. Gatekeeper Kla didn't see her as brutal enough. She scowled, wishing he were still alive that she could kill him. She shook off the thoughts, however, and focused mainly on her exercise tasks at hand.

Eothain BlackRaven sweeps out of his quarters, his jet black robe billowing out behind him as he strides down the long hallway towards the training facilities. His dark hood is pulled over is head, concealing his cruel blue eyes in shadow. As he walks, his cold eyes scrutinize every detail of his surroundings. He is delighted that the mark of the Light on the Temple is succumbing to the Dark with every day that passes. With every ambitious Initiate that enters the Temple, the memories and....hopes of the Lightsiders that preceded fade into nothingness. Eothain chuckles to himself.
Sweeping into the busy training hall, Eothain is met by a respectable silence. All Apprentices stop their training to turn and salute one of their elders before continuing their training. The Dark Jedi Master slowly nods, his expression void of emotion.
The next hour or so is spent carefully observing Master and Apprentice. Slowly walking down the hall, Eothain stops every now and then to watch a training duel, quietly offer advice to the Masters and bark orders at lazy Apprentices to work ever harder.
Get up, you Pansy! If you were fighting a Lightsider, you'd already be dead! he hisses at a fallen Apprentice who is taking too long to return to his feet. The young man looks up at the Master with an expression of fear mixed with awe. He nods profusely and jumps to his feet for fear of Eothain's wrath for Eothain was known to quickly lose patience.
Somewhat satisfied with what he sees, Eothain strides out of the training hall and heads towards the kitchen to find something to eat. Some of the Knights and even Apprentices fawn over him and are eager to answer his every back and call. If he had requested, he could have a meal brought to him. However, Eothain chooses not to take advantage of the others. As cruel as he is, he believes in every man for himself. To serve another is, in Eothain's opinion, absolutely disgusting. He serves no one and expects the other Dark Jedi to live the same way. Respecting elders and choosing to learn from them is one thing, living your life for them is another. If the Dark Jedi training in the Dackktan temple are not there on their own accord, then Eothain refuses to have them. Ambition and faith in one's own strength and abilities are necessities. Therefore, the Dark Jedi must work for what they want. No one will give them anything on silver platters.
Eothain enters the kitchen deciding he wants a steak.

Kitchens
Xanta Shozar swept through the doors of the kitchens, his piercing black eyes scanning the room for the person he sought. His eyes landed on Eothain Blackraven, and brushing aside the servants trying to hand him food, he walked swiftly to the table and sat down next to his fellow Master.
Xanta shared Eothain's disdain for those who lived solely to serve others - the basic principle of the Jedi Order grated against his very being. Thinking back, he couldn't see how he had endured it for so long, but that was over now, and more important matters were at hand.
Eothain...we have an urgent matter to discuss. One of the new arrivals, Jedi Knight, self proclaimed Queen of the Dark Jedi Osaka Xiaoxing, arrived with a holocron in her pack. I believe...I believe I can access its immense informations banks.

Kitchens
Eothain looks up from his medium rare steak and potatoes as Xanta enters.
Master...
He nods slightly, and continues to cut into his juicy meal as he listens to what his comrade has to say. The manner in which he entered suggests he has a matter of urgency to discuss. He is not wrong.
Mention of Xiaoxing causes him to put down his utensils. A small smile spreads across his lips.
Xiao? Here? It's about time, he replies. And a holocron you say? Interesting...I am curious to know what it contains.
Eothain rubs his chin in contemplation.

Xiao yawned boredly, snapping out of an intense state of meditation. She stood up, stretched, and used the Force to refresh her body. Taking a shower and changing clothes didn't take long, and less than a half an hour later, Xiao stepped out of her room, still squeezing water from her hair.
Through pure observation, Xiao decided that she had the most varied wardrobe out of anyone at this temple, which brought light smirk to her lips. All that traveling had caused her to gather many different local disguises, and many of them sold for a high price on Ord Mantell.
Ignoring glances from everyone around her, Xiao walked into training hall, igniting her lightsaber the moment she entered. She made several slashes at the air, then stood silently in a defensive pose for a moment, using the Force to create an enemy in her mind. She closed her eyes, picturing her opponent, then let loose intricate slashes and footwork, using the Force to guide her movements.

Deactivating her lightsaber and flashing a glare at the other students, Xiao meandered back outside, where she squinted, staring at the outdoor landscape.
Feeling the hot sun beat down on her skin, Xiao stepped back inside.
She was pale, even for someone with such naturally dark hair as herself. Of course, the fact that she dyed her hair unnatural colors made her look more tan than she actually was... more than once, Xiao had sunburned herself due to her own carelessness.
Take the incident on Tatooine, for instance.
Xiao flinched at the memory, silently recalling Alan's all-too-peaceful face. She scowled. She would purge the world of weaklings such as him. The knowledge that she was superior in life was her drive for power. And rest assured, she had once said, she would use that power well.

After a long conversation with Eothain about the holocron, Xanta left the dining room and headed in the direction of the training rooms.
As he walked past, he saw Xiao rubbing her chin in thought. Hatred and uninhibited emotions simply rolled off her person - Xanta smiled. She had the makings of a most powerful Dark Jedi, but the ruthlessness wasn't there. He could sense that, too. Perhaps...perhaps...
Xanta's fist clenched at the thought of the number of those filth that must have escaped the purging of this Temple. He knew, at least, that Hetzon had escaped. That one had nearly defeated both him and Eothain at the same time - he'd never met a lightsider with such a grasp of the Force. For that, Xanta would make him pay. Perhaps with Xiao and Eothain both with him, he would prevail next time.
Entering the room, Xanta smiles sweetly.
Such deep thought for such a pretty face. Come now, what is it we're contemplating today?
