H.a.k.u. I find that when people stick Rent music to anime... it makes me sick. I don't know why, but I hate it. Maybe I'm bias, but I don't want to see some godaweful anime cheezy thing tarnishing the good name of 'I'll Cover You'. Or some stupid thing using the 'Tango: Maureen' for something stupid. stressed I totally agree

H.a.k.u. Molly the Emo Kitty I actually like the idea of it. Several animes share the basic concepts of RENT; Love, finding your place in the world, finding yourself, standing up for what you believe in. The wrapping is different, but the package inside is still the same. Only loathe it if n00bs overwhelm it with their stupidity and novice style, like.. picking the wrong anime for a song or something. I think you just don't like anime. confused

That was just a horrible example... but the concept is the same.
So I just think that anime isn't nearly as good as real kinds of people. Name one anime or manga character that has a deep personality that isn't surrounded by 'my mommy is dead and so is my daddy.. I am seeking revenge memhahahaha'. Actually, please don't look... Too much trouble.
All I am saying is they don't seem to mix well to me. Rent music was intended for rent. Not Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist, or Ghost in the Shell etc. neutral Hardcore Llama.

The worst one I have ever seen was Inuyasha and Kagome things to I'll Cover You
If you're going to set something to ICU, at least something in it that isn't stupid and overdone!

I love Rent.
I only like particular anime.
And you don't put musical soundtracks in your AMVs.
Sometimes, some songs from regular CDs might be alright if it's done right, *I've seen a decent t.A.T.u/Chobits one* but there's dumb things that these people think are 'clever' like putting an X JAPAN song to an X/1999 series AMV and it doesn't suit it at all.
Rent + Anime = nono.

I've never seen any other AMV's to RENT songs, but I don't think any other song would work. Honestly though, I thought that was quite amusing.

I'm a rather large fan of anime as well as RENT, and I noticed a lot of times that with any anime music video, people will take a song they like and an anime they like and put them together, regardless of storyline or if they relate at all.
I can easily see this applying to RENT. There aren't many animes that can relate to a RENT song. There may be a couple that fit well enough and may work out cool, but mostly I can see people just going "OMG I <3 Out Tonight and Fruits Basket so I'm gonna make an AMV!!!!1 4laugh "
That is bad.
