I bought the lite because

1) it's the anniversary of my first DS being bought
2) My original DS' battery is now only 6 hours from my hideous amount of time playing it... ask Makaveli he'll tell you I'm on it constantly

Well that'd probly happen if you sit there with it plugged in playing it 24/7

not plugged in...

At school, during class, during church, during parties... while online... then when I forget to charge I ask my teachers to let me charge it in class... they let me ^_^

Ever since that damn Lite came out nowon gives a hell about the old DS... What the hell! Always when I go into EB or Gamestop I see piles of Reg DSs but the Lite is always sold out! Come on people, Give the old DSs a home!!!

Just so you know. I have both DSes. DS lite for the size and brightness... The Older DS has a much more "Mature" look to it

i agree it is much more mature looking and it was the start i say go old ds

Meh! I'm satisfied enough with my current DS. I don't find any problem with it so far. It works well enough, so I don't need the DS lite right now. In fact, I'm not getting one until my old DS dies, because I feel that it is a waste to buy something that you already have.

I mean, what is wrong with the regular DS?

thank you! but still, i'd get an original DS if my DS were to die >>
Well, that's good then. We should all give them a home.

Plus, I think it feels better on my hands. 3nodding

I have both DS's and I do like the Lite better. You can actually see when your playing outside, and it's lighter, I even thing the sound is better, pluss I have noticed that the colors are more vibrant.

But like I said, I still have my old DS.

Its new, its improved. CHill out, people want things that are better, even if better means only abit.

I bought a DS Lite and I already have a DS (I'm giving it to my aunt, she wants one but her husband won't let her buy one).

The DS is still great, its fun, its cute. BUT the Lite is an improvement to something that was alreayd great.

So Chill out and play with your DS. =D

I like the fact that the lite is abit more clear when it games and such. =DD

If it were possible to get a backlight installed into an old DS I would because aside from the backlight I do perfer the original design. Right now that backlight & the bigger stylus are the only things tempting me to even consider getting the DS Lite. Heh I hear in Metroid Prime Hunters, Trace sticks out like a sore thumb even while invisible for Lite players.

I switched GBA SPs when the new backlight version came out because the design of the system itself didn't change.

WTF? The design of the system changed completely!

The GBA SP without the backlight look just like the GBA SP with the backlight. They units just have new colors. O.o

oh crap, my bad sweatdrop

Umm...I'm sorry to tell you but I through in the towel and traded in my old DS of a DS Lite lol Only got the DS Lite for £40! I thought it was worth it. I love the DS Lite, feels stronger than the old DS and much lighter. 1 problem is the first DS Lite I got had a dead pixel so had to return it. rolleyes
