I'm afraid I haven't read Moving Pictures yet, I'll have to do that. The sweeper is another one of my favorite character. And Mr. Soak in Thief of Time.

Yeah, he just couldn't resist spelling his name backwards could he? Kaos is cool. His sword is totally awsome and he makes a great milk man. I like theif of time, the susan series was one where Pratchett knew where to end it.

I like Susan. What confuses me though, is that at the very end of Soul Music Susan went to see Imp where he was working because she had fallen in love with him, but in the later books where Susan apears, Imp is nowhere to be found. I wonder what happend.

I don't know, I just kind of guessed it didn't work out. I mean she's half immortal and he's, well, elfish but human. She and Time make a much more likely pair, they have a lot more to relate about.

No way, I think she's much better with Imp.

It's the Ink! I've been reading Feet of Clay for the second time, but I don't remember much about it. I just read a scene where The patrician was sitting at his desk writing. It has to be the ink that's poisoned! scream

I'm not going to tell you the answer to that....I don't give that stuff away. Imp was a bit stupid, Susan wouldn't have been able to stand him for that long, she's way to realistic. I mean, he's all spacy and she can see things for what they really are, how could they really have a long term relationship?

People get along better when they're not exactly the same. If they agreed on everything, what would they have to talk about? Even though it aparrently didn't work out, I would still like to know the story of what happend.

I've read a lot of mysteries so I can usually figuer them out just by formula. A big exception to that was THE BIG OVER EASY by Jasper Fforde. It drove me crazy because it doesn't follow any of the formulas that I've gotten used to so I couldn't tell who did the murder. Of course I love the book for the very reason that I couldn't figuer it out.

"Wow... do i suck at solving mysteries especially murder mysterys because i get so freaked out by them that i stop somewhere towards the begaining so i dont even know all the clues..."

What are these formulas that you speak of?
PostPosted: Tue Jul 18, 2006 7:04 pm

I mean like the patterns. For example if people in the story are talking about something that seems totally unimportant you can bet that it's in fact a clue. They, of course, won't realize it until later. stare
