He wasn't sure what the cause of it was but he was feeling rather exhausted. He had been all ready to get up and ready for school and now here he was feeling ready to go back to sleep despite the fact that he had just woke up from a full night of sleep. He looked over at the clock. He still had an hour between now and when school started. Maybe if he got up now and moved around a bit he would be feeling more up for being awake by the time that it was time to go?

He got out of bed, and padded barefoot across the room and down the hall to where the bathroom was. A quick shower later he was feeling quite revived and headed to the kitchen next, he mixed up some of the tea that his friend had been nice enough to bring over for him and drank it along with down some fruit and toast. He then set to work getting his things all together. There we go. All ready.

What about Eggy? What should he do with it? It was to big anymore to bring with him and it would be to dangerous to leave it along wouldn't it? Maybe. He wasn't sure. He went to his room to changed into his school cloths and looked at the egg. It was far to big to carry around any more so he would have to leave it here.

He knelt down and laid a hand on it, "I have to go to school ok? You wait here for me and I will be back home to take care of you later." He told the egg and the one that was sleeping inside of it.

The one inside shifted and lifted a hand to press it against where Masaya's hand was. Masaya's eyes widened then he smiled, "Yeah. You know I'm here don't you." He murmured feeling almost guilty about the fact that he had to leave it alone here when it was trapped inside of the egg. The one inside must get lonely, "I promise that I won't be gone long ok? I will go to school then come straight home after kendo alright? I promise."

The hand pressed against him then lowered down again and the one inside shifted to get more comfortable, "Good. See you soon ok Egg-Chan?" He got up to his feet, scooped up his things and headed out of the house.

Masaya was working on his homework, his hand stroking over the outside of the orb every so often when it seemed to twitch or move around. The one inside was a little restless today but it wasn't anything bad. In fact Masaya was rather gladdened by it, that meant the one inside was healthy right? That he was doing well, as he had a rocky start to begin with he in the taking care of the tiger orb thing he was glad to see that it was moving around. It made him think of the way that tadpole moved around in their eggs before they finally decided to hatch, "Gonna come out of their to meet me soon Egg-chan?" He asked as he finished up one assignment and set it aside only to pick up the next tone.

It was hard to concentrate in school so he was having to bring most of his work home. It was him worrying all day about the orb and the one inside and who was out there that might want to take Egg-Chan away from him. He patted the orb, "I won't let that happen. We don't have to fight right?" He murmured, he didn't want to fight again, he wanted for things to stay peaceful. It would be better that way right?

But then again...

"I guess though if something is coming we might have to be ready, we can't let them hurt our friends." He murmured then almost jumped, "Ah! I'm sorry! I didn't even think about that. The ones comng are your friends aren't they? I hate the idea of you having to fight a friend so you don't have to ok? You can stay here and live with me. You can stay out of the fighting ok Egg-Chan?"

The egg gave a sort of a shiver as if agreeing with Masaya, then a hand lifted up to press again Masaya's where it was laying on the orb's surface.

Masaya smiled some, "Yeah. You can stay here and live a life of peace." He murmured, something inside of him told him that was all that his people wanted to do, they didn't want war. They just wanted to fight so that they could have somewhere to live, somewhere to grow and be happy. It was sad that they couldn't get along. So sad...

Masaya, being the clean boy he was (but preservitive) Finished his shower in record time. Never wasting a drop of water by dodling.
While standing infront of the mirror, towel drying his hair his reflection flashed to something. Something familiar...

It was gone before it could fully regester.
Ideas of peace without fighting is foolish. The only way to obtain peace is through war. the voice echoed before fading.

Sure.. he'd KNOWN he was there, but this confirmed it. There were no chance of doubts now.

He was glad that there was a fence around his backyard of he was sure that he was going to have a lot of explaining to do about the huge, tiger striped orb that was sitting there while he gardened. He was sure why but something inside of him told him that when he went outside today that Chimaki wanted to come along with him. No doubt to much time around the orb was making him think that he could read the mind of the one that was inside of it. Then again with what he truely was and what the orb held one never knew, Masaya really had no clue as to the full extent of his powers.

Either way though he had drug the orb outside, towel and all, and let it bask in the sun. While it meant a lot more watering as it was drying up faster it was worth it, Chimaki seemed to be enjoying the sun's light and he was as well to be honest. After yesterday of spending most of the day sleeping restlessly on the floor next to the orb this was doing a lot for making him feel better about things.

Masaya stretched out all over then looked over at the orb, "Our plants are doing well." He told it, they were rare plant seeds that he had gotten permission to raise here, the soil was just right and his devotion to their growth was almost the same as his devotion to Chimaki's care. He lifted a hand to wipe sweat away from his brow and gave a bit of a sigh taking a sip of his water then rose to his feet, "I think that in time we will have a beautiful garden." At the moment it wasn't much but it could be so much more.

'Why waste your time with such triffling things? There are things, many things that are far more important that we could be doing.' A voice inside of him murmured.

He lifted a hand to rub at his temple, "After all of the fighting you've done one would think that you of all people would appreciate simple things like this." He said in a voice that was a little bit snappish for him, Deep Blue always did draw out his worst qualities though didn't he? The parts of himself that he had locked away so as to be more of a model human.

There was a long, drawn out silence from which the feeling that he was got was that Deep Blue was actually... left speechless, that or he didn't want to admit that Masaya might have, possibly, maybe been right. He smiled some then walked over to pick up the hose using it to let some water fall upon Chimaki's orb, "I think that I should bring you out here more often, sunlight and water both seem to help most species so maybe they will help you as well?"

The one inside gave a bit of a nod then seemed to once more relax, felt night to be so cared for. He knew that if he were at home he would have been stuffed into one of those machines and would have been seen as little more then another subject among many others. Nothing anymore special then any of the others, he hadn't ever thought on it before but now he was feeling rather... contented with the idea of staying here with the human. Masaya treated him like he were more then just some random mook to be given orders and sent out to fight. He talked to him, cared for him, protected him. If more Humans were like Masaya then maybe their two species wouldn't be warring with each other?

Masaya looked at his watch and gave a soft sigh, "I still have homework to do." He muttered having decided to come outside the moment school was up and he got home instead of doing his work. The boy gave a bit of a laugh, "Between you and Deep Blue I swear the two of you are really affecting my work habbits you know. I used to be a model student, never missed day, alway shad my workd done before I even left the building. Homework was something the other kdis did." He told Chimaki, "Now I'm actually putting off my homework to instead come out side and play with you, missing days of school because of him."

Chimaki had gone very still inside of his orb, eyes wide and starring at Masaya. Had he just said what he thought he did? Did he say 'Deep Blue'? No that couldn't be right, no human knew about their fallen Messiah. How could they? Unless he was there when everything happened? Was he present when those horrible Mew Mew's cut him down? Pai had blamed the death of their Messiah of the actions of Kish and the Mew Mew, that their combined powers brought him low when he wasn't expecting it. They were monsters, murderers. But how... how did Masaya play into that?

Chimaki lifted his hands to press them against the inside of the orb as if once more testing it. The barrier was getting weaker between him and the outside but it still wasn't so that he could get out. His questions for the human were going to have to wait...

Masaya was outside in the backyard, laying on a blanket and looking up towards the starry sky and he gave a little it of a sigh, "Its hard to look up at the stars as peaceful as it is and know that there are those readying to attack and those that might already be here." He murmured to himself. He glanced towards his house, it wasn't something that he could deny though was it? After all the one called Chimaki was right here in his house. There was no way that he could take care of them all on his own, bring them in and change their minds. He almost laughed, that would be like him bringing in an army and giving them to Deep Blue. He was worried as it was that Deep Blue would take over and start ordering Chimaki around.

If he remembered correctly Deep Blue was the Messiah of that race, he somehow doubted that any orders he gave would be ignored.

'Its what I deserve for being in charge.' a voice in his mind said sounding rather bored, course what Masaya didn't know was the fact that the current rebellion was being lead by Pai as Deep Blue was assumed dead. Maybe the new aliens wouldn't even care if Deep Blue told them to do something? Or to back off? He had no idea about what Deep Blue had met with Kish over either. The idea of them 'teaming up with' the Mew Mews would never occurr to him. That was the beauty of the plan though, Pai would never see it coming either, fool that he was.

Then again for the moment Deep Blue himself was out of the game, for two reason one that neither Deep Blue or Masaya was away of. The fact that Chimaki was still drawing energy from them, slowly growing strong inside of the tiger orb.

Masaya watched as a light streaked across the sky and he gave a sigh, wondering if maybe what he was seeing wasn't a star something else? Were the Mew Mew ready? Did they suspect? What about the aliens? Were they going to attack soon? How much more peace did they have? He jerked up to his feet and scooped up his blanket and headed into the house. He had to go to see her, had to see Ichigo. It could be his last chance if a battle were to break out tomorrow!

He had barely made it into the house when out of no where he was overcome with a headache. He gave a gasping sound, lifting his hands to clutch at his head and he sank down to his knees heavily and gasped for a breath, "W-What the... Ah..."

'Now, now Masaya. You know you can't go there.' If the little brat did that then all of his plans wouldn't come to fruit, he wasn't sure if Kish had talked to her yet so until he was sure of it Masaya wasn't going over there, 'What if I take advantage? She wouldn't even suspect until I had my sword stuck through her belly. After all, she thinks I'm dead, thinks she saved your from me. How pathetic.' Deep Blue purred and Masaya gave a sob, half of pain and half of fear that Deep Blue would do exactly that.

"Just wanna see her..." His heart ached with the need to see her.

'Selfish words you speak, but do feel free. When you done with her if you want to go visit the other Mew Mew so that I can have a stab at them as well?'

"Shut up!" Masaya hissed in a not normal for him tone of voice. He forced himself to his feet and stummbled towards the kitchen getting himself some asprin and some tea. He sank against the counter as he took three and gulped them down with the tea hoping that they would help to fight off the awful pain that was pounding through his head. It felt like something was stabbing into his temple. It wasn't long before the headache started to subside, Deep Blue had gone silent too. The threats had been enough, Masaya would do as he was told and stay here, away from the catgirl and Kish would have time to work his magic on her.

Someday soon though, he was going to swallow up Masaya again into him and he would be the one in control of the body. Only this time there would be no mistakes made that let him fight back.

Masaya's eyes slipped closed and before he could stop himself he was asleep in the kitchen, sitting on the floor leaned against the counter, "I... chigo..."

Hatching Aliens

Masaya had spent the day watching over Chimaki's orb, luckily it was the weekend and he really hadn't been going out anywhere anyways as of late. The egg had started to grow murky that morning. As the day progressed it had gotten worse and worse, to the point that Masaya could no longer see the one inside of the orb. Then to make matters work the surface of the egg started to grow brittle no matter how much water he tried to give to it. He had started to fret mid afternoon when there was no signs of movement and when he laid his head against the side of it trying to hear if there was anything going on inside there was no sound. Had he failed the one inside of the orb? Had Chimaki not made it despite all of his efforts? To come so far only to end up failing in the end?

Masaya hung his head, eyes squeezed shut as he struggled to keep from crying.

He didn't want to admit how much he had started to cling to the orb, it and the one inside were the only things that he saw on a consistant basis now that Deep Blue was not only away but able to take over his body. He had grown dependent on Chimaki for companionship even if the alien couldn't speak or move on his own it was just the fact that there was someone else around that he could talk too. He couldn't do that anymore with Ichigo after Deep Blue's threat to him.

He gave a great sigh and drew his knees up to his chest, "I'm... sorry Chimaki, so very sorry... I tried." He murmured as he buried his face against his legs.

*****

Masaya wasn't sure how long he had been sitting like that, long enough that he had grown exhausted and dozed off. The sound of something started to crack and shatter started to bring him too. Something was breaking? His eyes sprung open and he looked around trying to figure out what was going on in his dazed state. Then his eyes feel upon the orb, it was covered in a web of fractures. There was a momentary wave of panic before he crawled over to the egg. Masaya laid his head on it listening closely.

He could hear it... Chimaki was moving around inside? His eyes got wide as suddenly an idea dawned on him. The orb had hardened over not because it was dying but so that it could hatch? Chimaki was hatching?

He gave a sound of excitement and laid a hand on the egg feeling and bump against the inside, then another. Masaya let out a squeak jerking his hand back when a foot, complete with boot, kicked through the side of the then was pulled back in. Next thing he saw was hands reaching out to start to break pieces off of the egg from inside and Masaya knelt down to peek inside of the egg, "Chimaki?"

There was a pause and some shifting around inside and then two orange eyes were gazing out at him, "Masaya?" Came a curious voice, a sound that Masaya had thought for a while there he would never get to hear.

"Yup, I'm right here." He said, "Do you need help?"

"If you would, I feel rather tired." He said, he had been trying to get out of this thing for a while now but for some reason he felt exhausted, he figured that he was no longer getting energy from wherever the source of it was when he was inside the orb. Which of course meant that he would have to start gathering it himself through sleeping and eating again. To do that though he was going to have to get out of the egg, "Yeah. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated."

Masaya gave him a bright smile, "Alright. We will work together ont his and we will have you out of there in no time at all Chimaki." He said and started to break away bit of the egg. Of course despite his boasting it was more difficult then he had first expected, a rather strong egg the alien was inside of. It felt almost like it were made of really thin concrete that had to be slowly chipped away at. The two of them worked at it for a while, section by section until the the hole was big enough for the alien to wriggle through and he was freed.

Chimaki sat up slowly, stretching out and gazed up at Masaya... and tackled him, hugging him tightly. He was freed of the egg, he was alive, and he was safe all due to his odd human boy, "Ah... thank you Masaya." He murmured sounding as if he had just run a million miles. Masaya smiled wrapping his arms around the alien and hugged him, soothing his red hair back away from his face. This felt nice, it wasn't the same as holding Ichigo more like hugging a close friend but it was just the idea of being able to be near someone again that had the boy so excited, so happy. He wasn't alone anymore with only the voice inside of his head.

"Its not a problem, I wanted to help. Come on, you sound rather sleepy. How about you take a nap on my bed and I will go and make you something to eat. I bet your starving." Masaya said after a moment of holding the alien.

Chimaki gave a bit of a grummble, not really wanting to move at the moment but did as he was told crawling up onto Masaya's bed. The other boy helped him out of the boots that he wore, "Not supposed to wear shoes in the house." He told Chimaki, "I will put them by the door ok?"

Chimaki nodded, figuring that it was a human custom and didn't want to argue with Masaya about it since Masaya was his savior, "Of course. I'll... be right here." He murmured then gave another yawn and snuggled under the human's blanket and was soon sleeping deeply. Masaya looked at the mess that the egg had made but decided that he would worry about making Chimaki's dinner before he worried about cleaning up again.

Dinner

Masaya was quite proud of himself for all that he had accomplished int he way of food.Though the more he looked at the cabinets the more that he knew he was going to have to go out and do some shopping rather soon. He was out of most of everything and that wouldn't do very well with him needing to feed now not only himself but Chimaki too for as long as the Alien decided to stay here with him. He looked over towards the hall that lead to his room and gave a little smile before he started to carry things to the table. First he set out the plates, flatware, and glasses, he then went to fetch the food bringing it over to set on the table, and finally he poured drinks. He looked it over before heading down the hall to retreive Chimaki.

He took one step into the room before he paused a squeak escaping his throat at the site before him. Chimaki was sleeping still, covered in the blanket, and floating a good foot above the bed. Masaya hurried over to look out his bedroom window and around, he doubted that anyone saw anything but he pulled the curtains closed none the less and walked over to the bed and reached over to poke Chimaki in the side, "Time to wake up." He announced.

Chimaki's eyes popped open and he fell out of the air onto the bed looking around, "Ahh... five more minutes." He complained before blinking a couple times and starred at Masaya, "Ahh. Hey Masaya, sorry. Thought you were someone else." he said sitting up quickly and gave a little bit of a yawn, he felt a little better after his nap but now he was just plain hungry. The thought was accented by a loud growl from his stomach that had Masaya laughing.

"I came in to tell you that dinner was ready and is waiting on the table for us." Masaya informed the alien then held a hand out to help him up out of the bed.

Chimaki took it and hopped out of bed onto the ground, "Lead the way." He said with a bright smile on his face.

Masaya nodded and headed out of the room, now that the thought about it despite being here so long he doubted that Chimaki knew where anything was in the house, he would give him the grand tour after they ate.

Chimaki took the time of floating along after Masaya to look around, trying to gather information so that he could know a little more about Masaya. He was finding very little though, he was a neat person from the way that everything to be immacualtely cleaned up, he was a bit of a lonely person as it seemed that there was nothing around that indicated other people being here that often, and he was a smart person from the looks of some of the books that he had in his room. A lot of them were about endangered species, recycling, conservation, and things like that.

Chimaki almost bumped into Masaya when he stopped suddenly in diningroom, "Ahh. Excuse me." He murmured.

Masaya gave a bit of a laugh and pointed, "You can sit there and I will dish up some food for you. I made a little of everything as I wasn't sure exactly what it was that you wanted to eat or even what sorts of things that you liked."

Chimaki looked over that which was sitting on the table, his orange eyes widened a little and he hurriedly floated over to sit down, "This all looks so good!" So much better then anything that they had at home to eat. He was almost squirming in his seat as Masaya put a little bit of everything on his plate and he scooped up his fork and started to dig in. He was almost inhaling his food, barely chewing, "Mmm... so good!"

Masaya walked around the table to take his seat, "There is plenty so you can slow down. I would rather that you didn't choke." He said with a bit of a grin.

Chimaki looked around a moment then slowed down quite a bit, he had forgotten for a moment where they were and that they were alone. He had no worries about other showing up to take what was his away from him. He was safe to eat slowly and actually taste all of the treats that were before him. This was a new experiance that was for sure and one that he meant to savor. He was so used to having to horde anything good, fight to keep it, and then inhale it when he had the chance so it didn't get stolen away by someone that was stronger then he was.

"Its better when you slow down isn't it?" Masaya asked.

"It is." Chimaki agreed.

He paused a moment starring down at his plate before looking up at Masaya, "You said that we could stand at the sidelines, that we didn't have to fight right?" He would have sworn that he had heard Masaya say those words to him.

"I did, there are times when I wonder if I will be able to though. I can't let my friends, the one that I love fight alone though." He murmured with a little sigh, maybe he could see her then? It would be a good excuse to get close to Ichigo, the desire to protect her. He wanted for nothing more then to be able to be with her, "You though, if you fight or if you don't is up to you. I will trust you to make the choice that is best for you Chimaki."

Chimaki nodded, he didn't know yet. He didn't want to fight again Masaya and his friends anymore then he wanted to fight against his own people. He supposed that it would all come down to circumstance?

"Try not to worry about it though Chimaki. For now lets just enjoy dinner and celebrate."

He looked up at the human boy, head tilting to the side, "Celebrate?"

"Of course! We are celebrating your arrival into the world. You were just 'born' here remember. We always like to celebrate when new life comes into the world." Masaya said then put some more food on Chimaki's plate.

Celebrate his arrival? He gave a bit of a smile, he liked that idea, "Alright. Lets do that then."
