Same here. I also thought Deidara was a girl. Got surprised when I read he wa s boy. Sitll, the Akatsuki leader looks a lot like Yondaime and I'm very interested in Tobi. I sure hope that know we get to see more of the Akatsuki.

He does look like Yondy...but still. I think he has red eyes. >> I just do. Yondy had blue eyes. Unless something with the Jinchūriki changed him. Also, the Leader can extract the Bijū from the container, and I'm assuming that it can seal them as well. So it COULD be Yondy.
It's so complicated. >w< I don't think it's Uchiha Madara, because the leader didn't have Sharingan.

The leader's probably just some new character that Kishimoto briefly showed us because he knew we would come up with all these crazy theories. If not, then I believe he's either Yondy or Madara.
But I don't think it's been confirmed what color eyes the leader has. Where did you get that they were red, Iia?

I thought the girl was supposed to be the next one introduced!! Wasn't that what he said?! I take that to mean that he changed his mind... It doesn't seem plausible that he'd leave the only girl to be introduced last- it'd make her seem like a bigger deal, and Japanese people seem rather- well, sexist. So I think he's gonna have them all be guys!! I'm soooo angry that one of these ones wasn't a girl!!! I was so excited when I saw your post this morning aftre you invited me to the guild, and I went and downloaded the manga, and wouldn't even leave to go to class till I read it, cause I thought "yay, finally, the girl!! I NEED to see her, cause if I'm not assured that she's represented in a positive light and all, I'll never be able to concentrate on my test today.." And look... it was 2 damn guys!! I mean, really... out of nine members, couldn't there have been at least 2 girls? How much was that to ask?... Now I'll bet there isn't even one, and that makes me wanna rip someone's head off- literally.
