Amythe Staropoli
Thy Majestie - Nothing Ever Dies.

There's a Kamelot song of the same name on The Black Halo.

As for the best PM ballad. Probably Grave Digger's 'Love Is Breaking My Heart'

I've never heard something so depressing in all my life!

The Sophie of Yesteryears
Hammerfall - Always Will Be

In itself it isn't very power metal but it's by Hammerfall so it's still gotta be cool biggrin

I just heard it today and fell in love with it... crying

Hammerfall can write the most tearjerkingly great ballads. Dreams Come True and Home of the Brave being prime examples.

NOTHING ON EARTH STAYS FOREVER
BUT NONE OF YOUR DEEDS WERE IN VAIN
DEEP IN OUR HEARTS YOU WILL LIVE AGAIN
YOU'VE COME TO THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!

Wow. What's surprising is that no one corrected that mistake, and I didn't even realize it. I meant to say: Thy Majestie - Time To Die, but I was probably listening to Nothing Ever Dies, since I love that song, at the same time. So I probably got mixed up.

Haha, I did wonder. I don't have much Thy Majestie as it's a sonofabitch to get hold of.

They considered by most to be from the "Heavy Metal" category, but Manowars' Master of the Wind is my favorite ballad of all time.

This girl is totally right.

I personally think that 'Desde mi cielo' by 'Mago de Oz' is the greatest PM ballad ever (Some might consider it heavy metal though)

Helloween's 'If I could fly' and of course, by default, the only power metal ballad I can never get sick of, Fiddler on the Green. Forever by Stratovarius is quite good.

Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song.
Obviously, up there with Fiddler on the Green.

A Tale that Wasn't Right by Helloween is certainly one of my favorites, because the lyrics are EXACTLY how I've been feeling for the past few weeks.
