Hmmm that's a good question, Queen ^^ *I* think it'd be perfectly okay to link to your own shop thread... ummm... I don't know. ^^

As I announced in the mini-shop thread, everyone who's given me thumbnails has thumbnails up. Celria doesn't have hers linked because I couldn't get her DA page to load again so I could copy-paste the link to the full-view pictures, but everything else should be good. If I missed a thumbnail or you recently finished something you want thumbnailed, post here, in the thread, or Pm Tehcolorist with the link to the picture(s).

((I've yet to work out the specifics of the HOW of this, but in theory the guild and the thread in the R&C would work in tandem somehow -- the linking/wording for how to do all that is escaping me at the moment))

The biggest problem I see with a "coloring contest" for the banner is: Where the heck are we going to get lineart that everyone can agree on? It's one thing to actually have some really nice lineart, but what would happen if someone donated some really icky lineart, and we kind of "had to" use it to be respectful? On the same note, who with nice lineart is going to let us use it for this? We'd probably have to have two contests, one for lineart (which makes no sense because we don't DO lineart) and then one to color it. We could commission someone to make us some lineart, that'd be fun ^^

I meeaaaaannnnt the "brightest crayon" thing... not the artist of the month thing wink

I think we should make this guild public so people can post the order forms in our threads so our PM boxes don't get full. We could write on the guild home page in big red letters not to spam, bump or make new topics ^^ And even if some people do, we have enough mods to take care of it and delete them.

having it public would be great, but yeah, hassleish ^^; ...i think stickying the shops, and anouncementing the current stickies and announcements (or making a couple Master-type threads to reduce clutter which contain much information each, but all somewhat based on the same thing... ^^; )

...I'm not sure what to think about the banner contest, other than its worth doing as it will ad a little bit of extra acivity in the guild. :3

...and for the brightest crayon, we can have like, a little crayon box with the 20 crayon colors saved, and each time a new crayon is selected, a second copy of that image is used , but the "brightest crayon" glows. this could be changed easily for each member because the original non glowy image would be saved each time.

although, there should be small exceptions to the randomizer part. colorists who are set to "Closed" (for an elongated time) shouldn't be able to get it (after all, the point of featuring them is to give them more business, but if they don't want business for the time being, it owould be a waste to feature them.
...another thing would to sometimes, not use a randomiser... sometimes exceptions will be made (if most of the crayons/A-Teamers believe one of the crayons has good enough reason to be a selected Brightest Crayon, then it can be done... but this most obviously should be a rare occourance and there should be no thread for "post your applications to be the Brightest Crayon here!" kind of thing... ^^; )

wow Chicky, I love those ideas. Plus like you say, it's nice getting honest feedback, anyway (without having to beg for it sweatdrop ) If we did that, we could have one coordinator in charge of it (perhaps someone who is just in charge of the database as a whole), and everyone can send PM's to that person or a mule of their choice (heh if inboxes getting clogged is a problem) with their comments/ratings and then that person can present the comments and ratings without names attached so that people could be more honest in their critiques. i don't know if the ratings would be *per style* or just rating of the best style...
