Dom grunted her agreement and when she did, her head moved enough for the rose to slip through her hair a bit more, but not enough to fall to the floor. She remained unmoving and said nothing after that.

"So, shall we proceed in getting what we came here for?" Chad asked, concluding the personal discussion.

Dom looked up and nodded and hopped off the counter. Her eyes drifted up to the rose hanging in front of her face. She frowned and pulled it loose, placing it on the table, the bright red bloom contrasting greatly with the pale grainy wood surface.

"Do you need any help with those Mandrakes?" Chad asked absent-mindedly, gazing at the red bloom placed on the counter.

Dom shook her head, then punched her palm as a thought struck her. She crossed to a storage cabinet and took a glass jar. It was filled with harvested Mandrake roots. "Forgot I had this. I anticipated you coming down for them soon." She said handing them to Chad and walking to a wall completely covered by vines and roses. The flowers were a rich blood red and gave off an overpowering scent that Domini had come accustomed to. "La rosa de la sangre." She whispered, touching a bloom. "The rose of blood." Her finger slipped and drifted lightly over a thorn. She hissed and drew her hand back. Though she had barely touched it, it had sliced through her skin with ease. Deep red blood was welling up from the cut.

Chad happily accepted the ingredients and thanked Dom for them. Seeing her drift over to the overwhelming wall of flora, he noted the vividness of hues in the blooms. It seemed Dom had a thing for roses. Then, as her finger came in contact with a menacing thorn, Chad winced as an opening on her hand released a thick, dark liquid. "Dom... Are you alright?" he asked concerned.

Dom brought the wound to her mouth and closed her eyes. "Damn it. I forgot how bloody sharp those things are." She hissed. Then she looked at Chad and half nodded, half shrugged. "I don't know. Won't know even how deep it is until the bleeding stops."

((I just had to bring the rose of blood into this.))

"Shall I help you back to the Hospital Wing? I'm sure Alair'd be able to figure it out and fix it," offered Chad. On a lighter note, he added, "What kind of Herbology teacher are you? Going and getting yourself pricked by one of your own plants like that when it isn't even the least bit agressive."

Dom shook her head again, walking to the storage cabinet and extracting a roll of bandages. "I'm fine." She looked at the wall of roses. "I haven't touched those roses for a long time. I'd forgotten how sharp the thorns are."

Chad laughed. "I understand. There seems to be hundreds of plants in here," he said, examining a strange plant on the counter to his right. "I can't imagine trying to get the students not to touch these things. Those little terrors can't help but do the opposite of what you say. Why, the other day, a young Slytherin boy thought it'd be funny to let his chauldron boil-over, burning a hole in the floor," he said, reflecting on the event, "But you can't help but see parts of you in them at their age."

Dom laughed. "I just show them how sharp they are, and they leave the La rosa de la Sangre alone." She secured the bandages around her finger and returned the roll to the cabinet.

"Cool, sounds like your class is fun. I wish I could be one of your students," Chad joked, placing his hands on her shoulders as he edged past her.

Domini smiled at him. "I wish that as well, at times." The back of her neck tingled slightly as he passed and she reached up to itch the spot. She sighed and shook her hair out of her face, breathing in the rich scent from the roses.

Chad examined some tools on the workbench with his back to Dom. The wall in front of him, which was glass, let in a thick ray of light. His gaze was soon attracted to the outside school grounds. Looking upwards, he saw a student soaring in the sky on a sleek looking broom. "Looks like Quidditch season is starting up," he said. "Ever played Quidditch in school?"

Dom looked up at the quidditch pitch and smiled gently. "No, I never did, but my brother used to make me practice with him." She said, shaking her head. "Though I was commentator at a few matches. And at one of the ones that Hufflepuff won." She nodded thoughtfully. "What about you? Ever played?"
