Sorensuke sighed and rolled his eyes, thinking to himself, "As soon as an opponent sees my ninja-to, they assume all I do is run around blindly... so annoying..." He smiled, ignoring the displeasure the child was forcing on him. "Not a bad plan. You must be quite the tactician... But you really shouldn't underestimate an opponent, you know?" ((OOC: Sorensuke, as drawn by me))

"I didn't, you were moving too fast to notice if there was anything hidden on the ground. Now I say the same to you, you shouldn't underestimate an opponent," Anguna stated crossing his arms, that smirk still on his face, "Besides the Makabishi would have been the distraction."

Sorensuke let out a harty laugh, mussing the child's hair. "I like you! Not that I can't tell you already look down on me, but it's good to have confidence! Without it you're just a target, am I right?" With a grin on his face, he completely sheathed Raikayou. "So anyway, what brings you here? By the looks of you, I'd say..." Sorensuke tilted his head. "Well, you're obviously training in something other than Taijutsu... my money's on Genjutsu."

"Don't do that," Anguna said fixing his hair, "You have no idea how long it takes to get this thing straight."
"I was just practicing the twelve seals," he continued, "The only way one gets better is through practice. To perform some of my family's jutsu I have to have godlike speed at performing those seals."

Sorensuke laughed again. "Maybe you should use some of that god-like speed on your hair!" He retracted his hand, folding his arms in a relaxed, non-defiant way. "Your hand seals are really good, especially for someone so young. Sixteen and I still can't form them that quickly!" With a brow raised, he spoke again. "I assume you have clearance to be out here, but again I must ask... why so far from the Cloud?"

"The student exchange program what else? There's not enough Jounin in my village so I have to go off to another one," Anguna stated.

"Yeah, well, good luck with that. I haven't even been placed in my three-man cell yet... Konoha sure is busy nowadays. I trained for ten years alone before even entering the academy... and now that I graduate, I'm still waiting on a Jounin..."

"Meh, if there isn't one here I'll get transferred somewhere else," Anguna answered simply, "Might be better, Konoha is too soft."

Sorensuke immediately drew Raikayou, a fierce intensity in his eyes. "Look down on me, and I can walk away, for I don't need to prove myself... Look down on Konoha, and I'll reveal to you her fury..."

"You Konoha ninjas are soft. Living in this rich plentiful land makes you soft," Anguna stated, "Now put your sword away unless you want to be the one responsible for starting a war."

"That may make Konoha comfortable... but the more you have, the more you can lose. And I've lost enough because of arrogant, presumptuous little whelps... who think that because they aren't from Konoha, that they're stronger for it... Appologize for insulting my village, or I'll make sure that you'll need to master one-handed seals..." Sorensuke's usual laid-back ways have vanished, replaced only by hate. His blood-hued eyes are glazed over, as if a horrible memory were replaying itself in his head.

"No, I have no reason to do so, your little threats are meaningless to me," Anguna stated.

Sorensuke bares his teeth, his eyes rapidly switching between looking at Anguna and scanning his surroundings. His mind, while in combat-ready mode, seems completely different than his usual nearly-pacifistic persona. Thoughts moving at a mile a minute. Sorensuke bit his lip to forcefully snap out of his rage.
Walking towards the lake, returning Raikayou to his back, he closed his eyes. "If Konoha were as soft as you say, Konoha would belong to the Sound... Leave, if you're so unimpressed." Sorensuke thought to himself, "The Will of Fire would burn any other village to ashes..."
Sorensuke let out a heavy sigh, sitting cross-legged in the grass once more in a near-meditative state.

"You think they were strong? There is a reason they are not one of the great nations," Anguna stated, "And why the Hidden Cloud Village is." Anguna vanished in a poof of smoke, the one Sorensuke had been talking to being nothing more than a bunshin, the real one having vanished sometime during the argument.

Sorensuke shook his head. "If Konoha were so weak, why face me with a bunshin?" he wondered inwardly. "Strange child..."
For some reason, Sorensuke seemed not to mind. He'd been in the streets on the day they attacked. He'd taken up arms. Many of his clan had fallen at the hands of Orochimaru's minions. As far as he was concerned, Anguna's opinion on that day was moot, as was his opinion of Konoha. He'd seen the village triumph in the face of terror. If the Cloud was so powerful, they'd train their own Genin. Konoha was so powerful that it took in and trained members of other villages, even though in the end those trainees could become new threats against Konoha. Sorensuke wished that there'd be a time when a nation's power was only reserved for its own defense, not for amassing more strength.
Sorensuke drew Raikayou once more, staring at his late mother's legendary "Lightning Ballad" ninja-to. It had been used by Korasaga Keiko, former ANBU member. He remembered seeing her mangled corpse alongside his brother's, that of Korasaga Daichi, a member of the same ANBU squad. This had left his family half of what it had been, now only Sorensuke and his blacksmith father, Korasaga Yori. He remembered crying at their funeral, only 6 years of age, and remembered having Sandaime personally handing him Raikayou and his brother's cracked ANBU mask.
"The Will of Fire burned in your mother, and in your brother. Though they are lost, I know that the flame will burn even brighter in you, Sorensuke."
Sorensuke didn't try to hide his tears that day, but remembered feeling them stop the moment Sandaime held Sorensuke in his arms. He also remembered how much stronger they came back again at the Third's funeral.
"Raikayou... we'll be that fire..."
