The room, big as it was, was nearly dark, save for a few small lights. The room was silent, other than the slow breathing of someone, or something, lying on the floor in the middle. If someone had looked upon the serene face, they would have seen an uncanny resemblance to someone who used to live among the people of this world: Edward Elric. But it wasn't. Wrapped in a tight, chest-constricting black shirt and a skort-type bottom, the unconscious figure lay, unmoving, on the cold cement floor. Red swirls and designs snaked their way up his arms, his legs, and neck, and bared his defenseless stomach. However, delicate as this person appeared, he was not so. The person was nearly immortal, and therefore had a very strong defense. For he was a homunculus, and the newest one. Softly shut eyelids fluttered open, revealing cat-like, butterscotch eyes that blinked a few times before really focusing, though they still seemed clouded. He didn't say a word, just sat up slowly and regarded his surroundings. They seemed pointless, so he didn't inspect them very closely.

((As for his personality, make him slightly likeable. A little like the actual Ed I guess, if you can.))

General Kenara Ryonbain was the first to step inside the room, being as she was of the highest rank currently. The... thing in the middle of the floor... although she never did get to meet the famous Edward Elric, sent her for a few double takes. The reports said that this thing wasn't human. Yet, Kenara found herself doubting the military orders once again. Suddenly, she remembered to step aside, for the others to get in, but not once did she take hre eyes off of the... whatever it was.

((Well, he's rather amusing to talk to.. He's quite casual. And.. what should his power be? Some sort of uber-alchemy or something?))

He was silent, regarding the woman calmly. She didn't seem too dangerous, yet he didn't move, just stared at her without recognition. He glided slender fingers along the cement, covering them with the chalk on the floor. He frowned as he found his fingers dry and powdery. Opening his mouth slightly, the blond homunculus whispered, "What is this...?"

((Extra enhanced alchemy.))

Whatever Kenara was expecting, it hadn't been this. As she knelt across from the hommunculis, she refrained from touching the circle, afraid of invoking it. "This is a transmutation circle." She explained. "Do you know what that is?" She asked, her voice stronger than she had thought it would be.

"Yes." His voice didn't have a tone to it, just calm confusion. "But I don't..... who am I?" he asked suddenly. He gazed at her face, confusion showing through her calm exterior. The homunculus' glazed-over eyes, eyes the color of melted gold, showed no emotion. He didn't really have any, though he could pretend. "Or.. do you know?"

Kenara wore a look of slight pain on her face. "Do... do you know what a hommunculis is?" She asked, intrigued by this teenage look-alike.

"You haven't answered my question," he told her quietly. "Am I supposed to know?" This girl was confusing him more than he already was. He brought a black-gloved finger through the dusty chalk again to inspect the whiteness on the appendage. "Why was this drawn?"

Kenara sighed. "Your name is Pride." She stated, placing her hands just outside of the circle. "This was drawn to create a hommunculis." She said. The only reason she was here now, doing this, is because the furher thought she could handle someone who may possibly go haywire anytime.

"Pride..." he whispered, trying the name out. "How do you know?" he asked, frowning. He started to get up, to inspect his, now a little more interesting, surroundings. He wanted to know who the hell had brought him here, and why.

Kenara shrugged. "My commanding officer told me." She said, now instead resting her hands on her thighs.

"Ah. And your commanding officer would be..?" His tone had changed, from calm to inquiring in an instant. Golden eyes blinked at the sight of the bedraggled room, concrete floor and wooden walls covered in alchemical symbols and lettering. The room was lighter, now, since the night was almost over, and the neopolitan dawn was wafting through the window.
