Taka tilted her head curiously, but didn't pry further, it wasn't her place to do so. She, herself, had left her own home to go become a pirate. "I've actually only been livin' ere for a few weeks." she said, glancing over the small islands, all connected by bridges. Her eyes hesitated on the two men, but then returned to Sid, a smile on her lips.

"I don't know too much, but enough to show you around a bit." She said, not so confident in her tourguide skills, but willing to give it a try. There was something about sid that tweaked her fancy, she wanted to get to know the boy more, that was for sure, and to try and figure out just what it was about him.

Sid smiles and nods her head, in agreement. "Tis better than 5 moments worth Miss Baine, besides, I wouldn't want a pirate to try and take advantage of you." She grins, mischieviously, yet playfully, with no mal intent anywhere in the smile.

As she shifts to her other foot, she remembers the splinter, with a flinch, and figures she'll take care of it later as she looks over at the lady. "First is there a stable or barn or somewhere I could find to bed until a ship happens along?"

Taka grinned roughishly and winked, "I can guarantee you, that no pirate, nor any man, would be able t'take advantage of me!" she said. She had noticed the flinch when Sid had shifted hhis weight, but didn't inquire further once more, she didn't want to come off as a nosy girl.

"Hmm.. There are some smaller homes that can easily rented out," she said, thinking it over and tapping her chin with one long finger. "I have a tiny home meself, if you'd care to stay there for a bit. S'small, but have 'nuff room to live in."

Taka was quick to make friends, and didn't see any harm in sharing a home with the new lad she had met. She already had a small fancy growing for him. There was nothing of worth in her tiny little house, other than that damned book.. but in a sense, she wanted it off her hands. Though, she had an odd feeling that wherever she went, or put the book, it would follow her.

Sid laughs heartedly at the comment, and grinned, relaxing her slouch slightly, though still keepin a touch of a slouch. "Should I be worried you'll be taking advantage of me then?" She said with a grin, though the thought was a slightly troubling one. She didn't feel like it would be a good start for this girl, beautiful as she may be, to find out her truth before even leaving the island.

With the proposition of staying at the girls house, she smiled. "Tis nice of you to ask, but I'd hate to be a bother. Though I have nothing of any value with which to rent anything either. I was planning on just sleeping in a farm or loft, or on a covered porch, or something of the sort."

With that she shrugs, looking at the ground. Even if she were to take up the girls offer, she'd insist on sleeping on the floor, though the idea of a warm house, perhaps bedding near the fireplace, was a welcome one. She was tough enough to stand the elements, she was sure of it.

Taka tilted her head and looked at Sid curiously, but the emotion in her eyes and faced was masked and muted, so only the faintest bit of it seeped through. In truth, she hoped that Sid would take up her offer. Anything to distract her during the long, bleak nights.. Those damn sleepless times.

"Do what you will, just know that my offer still holds," she said casually, then turned her head to the direction the stables might be, thinking about how she could get to them fastest from their current position.

"The stables are closest, I think," she said, her voice soft and semidistracted, as she was thinking what she had said over in her mind as she spoke. "So, I'll show you there first." Her eyes flickered back to Sid, and she smiled.

Sid bows her head with a grateful nod, noticing the dissappointment in the girls face. She would take up the girls offer, except she was worried that her secret would be outed if she were to sleep in the young lady's rented house. She might accidentally sleep walk, or the girl might want to seduce her, putting her in an akward position all together. Even a casual touch to the wrong area could potientially give her away.

"Sounds good," She said softly, battling between the warm comfort of a house and a fire, and her fear of being found a girl instead of the boy she tried her best to stay. She returns the young girls smile with what she hoped was happy smile.

Morgan Malone stretched his arms up above his head, and his long legs out in front of him, causinf himself to go rocking backwards onto the slightly gritty sand, a bored noise emiting from him as he did so, his bright blue eyes fixing on the sky as his let his legs flop back down to the ground as well, but didnt bother to make th eeffort to sit himslef back up.
Gally was late. Which, though it was nothing new was still an annoyance. The blonde had probably found some poor defenceless drunk to beat up for an innappropriate comment or two...
What a waste of his time.. if she'd only meet him nearer the town.. where there was a tavern.. wiat.. that was probably the very reason she wouldnt meet him in the town, Gally had made it partly her mission to reduce the levels of alcohol in Morgans bloodstream, or possibly, more accurately increase the amount of blood in his alcohol stream...
He grunted once and rolled himself onto his side, the ties from his vivid green head wrap slaying out on the ground with his mussy brown hair.
"C'mon you daft wench.." he muttered to himself, shaking his right foot and looking amusedly at the sand that came tumbling out of the hole in the toe of it. The damn thing seemed to grow bigger every day, but there was no way he was getting rid of these boots.. new ones were just evil.. yes.
With a sigh he flopped back onto his back, he was such a fidget, he had never been exactly skilled at staying still, but now, when he was waiting and boeed he got even worse..
He'd be complaining all day now, there was probably a fair amount of sand in his clothing.
It was a nice day however, so it wouldnt be too bad for him to take a swin later and try to get rid of it.

"Come on and WHAT you drunken LUMP?" Galleys voice demanded hotly, this outraged tone emphasized by the 'thumpf' of her heavily booted feet slamming into the sand, and punctuated as she flings one of the sweet pastries she'd purchased at market at his head. "WENCH am I? DAFT AM I?" She howls in outraged, her delicate porcelin doll features flushing with outraged, her eyes, the perfect color of an idealistic summer day, crackling with a heat that would do credit to the center of an active volcano. "WHY THE HELL DO I PUT UP WITH YOU? YOU UNMOTIVATED BOOZE SWILLING CHAUVANISTIC RAG PILE REJECT!" She stomps her foot, blazing still as she towers over his prostrate figure, rage quavering at it's peak and inviting him to offer the excuse to start throwing more things than cream filled pastries.

Morgan blinked a couple of times, rather shocked it had to be said, but that seemed to pass almost as quickly as it had appeared..
"Bout time Gal!" He stated, having managed to catch the pastry as his had missed his head and impacted with his shoudler, leaving a bit of a smear on the joial wastecoat
"Beginning to wonder if you'd gotten picked up for flooring a drunk sailor!"
he pushed himself to his feet and approached the beautiful, fuming girl
"You ned to chill a little.. with the sun today you'll likelyl end up wilting from the heat.."
he promptly took a mouthful of the pastry and winked at her
"I'll buy you another one.." he stated though a mouthful, finally swallowing he chuckled
"And you cant call me drunk! You've not let me near a drink this past week!" He paused
"Oh! I found this.. and thought of you.."
He took another step close to her, singing his hand around from negins his back, prsenting her with a dark grey shell with a shine lik emother of pearl
"It washed up on the sand and I though I might twist a piece or two of twine together and make you a pretty necklace.. or a bracelett.."
He smiled
"You may be a wench Gal, but you're a damn firey one, and that makes you all the more fun!"
He flinched back, just in case...

Sid turns her head slightly to watch the fight. Lively couple, she though, with a soft tisk. Yet again she had a pang of jealously though, another girl, real girl, except this one with a boy. She hadn't even thought of boys in that way in so long. She had trained herself not to let her eyes linger on the few decent looking boys she'd ever met, afraid at getting jeered at, so she allowed her eyes to rest on the young lady, smiling in amusement at her fuming, she turned back to taka, waiting to follow her to the stables. Her slump slowly increased again, at the threat of new people to notice her.

Gally huffs, eyes flashing as she studed the pretty shell.
"Ooooooh. Don't think you can just win me over with sea-shells you...you LUMP!" She glowers, though some of her spark has desidedly been doused. "But I'm still not a WENCH. I'm a woman and more of one than you'll ever deserve...."
PostPosted: Sun Jun 11, 2006 9:10 am

Morgan simply chuckled again
"Bah! you're here of your own free will, cant pin that one on me Gal!" he said, though he swung a friendly arm around her petite shoulder as he did so. He smiled good naturedly at her.
"I'm sorry Gal, I just cant help it sometimes.. The little red flush you get when you fume at me is just adoreable."
he chuckled quietly, giving her a sudden hug.
"Lets have a walk? See if we can find a couple more little shells.. and tonight I'll make then into somthing for you? How does that sound?"
he kept his arm around her and chuckled.
"Youre the best friend I could ask for Gal, you know I dont mean if when I tease you.."

As Sid watches, she wonders about their relationship. Still rather jealous of both the new woman and Taka, she wonders if the new couple was a couple of friends or an actual couple. Their chemistry was weird, nearly couplish, but not quite. She watched in awe, and zoned, recalling back to when she was ten, and still considered herself a fine young lady, instead of an able bodied male.

She folded her arms, raising an eyebrow at Morgan, trying to keep her angry, serious look, though Morgan is one of the few people who's ever had the power to defuse her rages. "Hmph." She notes, trying still to look serious. "Fine, we can go for a walk."
She glanced briefly toward the redhaired lad watching them from a distance and raises one eyebrow at him, purposeful and fierce, and turns with Morgan to walk away. If that boy was watching her rear he was in for a realllll surprise...she promised herself inwardly, though he'd looked sort of jealous, and a little lonely, which petted her ego a little. It was always nice to feel a little like you might be worth being jealous over, even if she wasn't -really- seeing Morgan.

Morgan however looked utterly bewildered at the strange expession that came over Galleys face.. she had rasied her eyebrow at.. uh..
He looked around him and spotted the red haired young man, and grinned.
"hey Gal! Who's that? Do ya know him..?" He lifted a hand to wave to the red head, before blinking as Galley began to wander off..
"Hey! If you know he we should go say hi! Uh.. come to think of it, isnt it polite to go say Hi anyway..? He looks kinda lonely.."
he scampred after Galley and grabbed a hold of her arm
"Besides.. you never know, he might ask you to have a drink with him.. you always say you'd rather find anyone but me to spend your evenings with!"
Despite what he was saying he looked pleased, Morgan always looked pleased, about eveything..
