God, I'm in an abusive relationship with my one true love.
I fell into (almost through) a plate glass window playing DDR to exaustion. Hahaha, you really shouldn't play games like that when you're not in the best of health. I got out of it fine, at least. I did trip over the pad again though and headbutt the screen. Though, I hurt my pride more than anything with that.
Permanent wrist and neck injuries from years of prolonged play. Any system, doesn't matter. Though I gotta say, I've found most controllers comfortable with the exception of the Xbox "Duke" style. And the Dreamcast for fighting games, but I'm not even going to go into that. I always crane my neck up to see screens though.
Leg and knee injuries from DDR (Don't do the knee drop! Seriously!). Shoulder and wrist injuries from the Fist of the North Star arcade game, and various shooting games. Bruised my arms hitting the metal bars playing Para Para Paradise. And while my hand eye coordination and eyesight in general is far better than it would be without games, staring at monitors for years isn't exactly great for your eyesight either.
And yeah, I have a DS. I love the damned thing. Don't play it TOO often, but I still enjoy it a lot.

Setzer ~Another~ nemesiss Setzer ~Another~ unethikul DDR + Sprained Ankle = OUCH. Amen. Max 300 doubles on a pad covered with sand at the beach...permanent injury. I got a controller chucked at my head. there is a group of people that is advised not to play: -those with heart complaints -those who are pregnant -those with leginjuries those pads should akways be clean, and should be in one place.. me and friends played such hard songs that the pad was shifted a little bit.. and im talking arcadepad. No, you don't understand. It was playing the doubles that GAVE me the injurt. Unless you're saying I look pregnant. I LOOK FAT, DON'T I?!?! crying me and my friends also play double, too bad it just costs soo much

I ******** hate doubles. Really, really hate it.
However it only costs $.75 for a game here, doubles included. $1.50 if you play Extreme.

Kahz, I think that is the first time I've ever heard anybody complain about the playstation controller. For me, it is by far the most comfortable one I've ever used. I think the X-Box controller would be just about perfect if I had larger hands. It is the most ergonomic of any controller, but the problem is they seem to have used the average size of a male's hands for every one. They need to sell them in sizes. So people with itty bitty palms and short fingers like me don't have to strain to reach the buttons.
And yeah. The original NES controller is probably the worst. I'm surprised I don't have permanent indentations in my palms from the sharp, rectangular edges. Then there was the truly retarded controller that my dad bought for the genesis. Not so much painful as impractical. You'd tilt it to go left, right, up, down. A lot like the Nintendo Revolution controller is supposed to be like. Color me not thrilled.

I'm absolutely in love with the Xbox S controller and the Xbox 360 controller. Definitely the most comfortable set of controllers since the release of the Nintendo 64 triple pronged controllers. "The Sarge" was a beast of a controller, but their re-release of the slimmed down S Controller was a work of genius. The only use I've found for Playstation controllers is racing, and even then it could be uncomfortable and imprecise. I just think people are too used to Sony's mediocrity that they couldn't be bothered for improvements. When I bought the PS2 to play Ace Combat 4 & 5, I bought Killzone too. My God. I consider myself a FPS veteran having played everything from Quake over a 24k modem to Unreal Tournament 2004 and Halo 2 with everything in between on PC, Playstation, Nintendo 64, etc etc. and the Playstation controllers are the worst thing to happen to FPS since people assumed they could make another James Bond game to top GoldenEye 64. I try my best to not be a fanboy and take sides since I see all consoles as having games I would love to play. But I will admit that for me, the Playstation series of consoles has been the most disappointing.

MadCatz makes a series of "Microcon" controllers for smaller hands. And I've personally found the Xbox controller S to be pretty comfortable.
Seriously, who the hell came up with the Duke? They only got it right once the Japanese gamers bitched about the controllers being too big. Then they made the S standard.
I actually dig the 360's controllers overall.
Edit: Okay, I can't see the Dual Shock being used for FPS gaming. I do still think the controllers are pretty good, they probably could stand for a few minor design improvements though.

Oh, so they did make smaller controllers? Bleh. I don't play X-Box enough to warrant buying it. Christ, I'm expecting it to blow up if I turn it on since I never got that defective cord they recalled replaced.

Interesting, I've never been hurt, or heard of someone getting hurt, playing DDR. *shrug*
As for the NES controller, I think you people are all insanely picky. I've never had a problem. I loves my NES. The controls are so responsive, though, with the absolutes of the D-pad. With an XBox controller, left might mean slightly up or down, or not all the way, or who knows what, but with the NES, left means LEFT. And I dunno how you guys are holding it, but I never get indentations in my hands. xd

Left may mean left, but you have to hit it with a sledgehammer before it does. And 360 degree rotation is a very big improvement, considering there are more than four directions. That is why every system SINCE the NES has had it. Oh look! I can roll the d-pad for those special moves in fighters that are so much more convenient than the back/forward codes. Hey look! I can jump forward or backward using the d-pad instead of using buttons!

The Duke? That's what you call that ******** monstrosity? Out here, it's generally referred to as "The Porkchop," with the S referred to as "The Meatwad," "The Finished Product," or simply "The Good One."

From what I recall, The " Duke" is actually the offical name for it. Or "Controller D" and "Controller S" are the usual names you come across. But yeah, thats what that ******** monstrosity is called. We call it the " bear"

But yeah, thats what that ******** monstrosity is called. We call it the " bear" In the Xbox circles I was a part of, we referred to it as "The Sarge", since most people bought an Xbox for Halo. Though when I picked up my Xbox I got Fable, which I loved. It wiped away my distaste for RPGs Final Fantasy 9+ had left me with. Yeah, the first Xbox controller was horrible, and the Halo pros I knew would always use it purely to show off their skills. I was a GoldenEye pro because of the Nintendo 64 controller and I was a pro at Halo/Halo 2 because of the Xbox S Controller. Although no controller, even as amazing as the 360's, can compare to a mouse and keyboard. I hardly get headshots with a controller no matter how good I am, but I was a menace on the Battlefield 2 servers with a mouse and keyboard.

I used to have little painful indentations in my hands from hours of playing with the relatively sharp-cornered NES pad. We called it "Nintendo Hands."

Hey... wait a second. Why were you using a PS2 controller to play an FPS anyways, Kahz? Those games are only remotely entertaining with a light gun.
