Raven_Heart Soymilk_Gun so would you say you love cheese and milk more or less than you love raping and killing cows? And dont forget the chickens strung out on speed, abused, and killed for you eggs? Or the honeybees starved or crushed for your honey and wax http://veg.gs/dateien/wiki/05pr.jpgCows are not "tortured" for milk unless the owner is a jackass. Chickens are not "strung out on speed" for eggs unless, as I said earlier, the owner is a jackass. And for your information my familly is buying free range chicken eggs now. You're free to your to think whatever you want to think but please do not force your beliefs onto others. There are many corporation owned farms (hence, it's not as simple as "the owner" being a jackass), and the fact that the cows' bodies are tricked into a constant state of lactation can be considered torture. It's more common than you seem to realize, but as you said, it's not the case for every farm.

strict vegetarian. I dont eat dairy or eggs, but I do eat things containing whey, regular sugar, and all those ingredient type non-vegan things. And I use animal products such as wool and leather, because the way I see it, if I already own it animals gain nothing from me suddenly deciding to stop wearing it.
I used to love dairy tons. Like I lived on yogurt, cream cheese, etc etc. But then I stopped. And now cheese/dairy grosses me out almost as much as meat. Like I was looking at a coupon catalog for my local supermarket the other day and the sight of the advertised cheese and milk sort of turned my stomach.
But then, I have a proficiency at psychologically turning myself off to certain foods rofl

I've now been a vegan for two weeks.
I was a vegetarian for two years, and throughout that time I was plagued with nightmares of factory farms. I tried to argue my mother into letting me go vegan, but she refused. I went vegan under the table for intervals of about 5 days, but usually ended up caving.
Now, I realize that I cannot continue to contribute to rape, torture, and murder. My mom now knows that I'm going vegan. She disapproves of it, and tells me that "I can't stay vegan forever", however she does buy me all of the vegan essentials (tofu, veggies, soymilk, baking products, etc.), alongside little treats that I love, like tofutti and vegan dark chocolates. I'm more serious than ever about my decision, and I AM NOT going back...

mis_3a vegetarian - working my way to vegan smile Same. I've been vegetarian for almost four months, and I'm refusing to buy anything with egg ingredients. What happens to male chicks just horrifies me. crying Though, what we already have I'll eat because I don't like being wasteful. I'm also strict about avoiding anything with honey.
I have, however, been consuming products with dairy ingredients. But other than that, I really like the vegan cheese alternatives that I've tried..after trying those, dairy cheese is not difficult for me to give up at all. I've always thought dairy milk tasted rather gross, so I've been trying out different milks. And I use a non-dairy butter.
