That's about the only thing I really enjoyed about that movie. I went to Paris last November, and we actually visited that church through which the rose-line runs, and were lectured at by a priest who was very agitated and wanted us to believe that none of the story was true.
And then I was drunk on a bus on my way back to the hostel in London earlier this month when we passed that square with the dragon statue. cool
*is kicked for superior prickhood*
oh, and I speak up in lessons ALL the time. In a bored and annoyed way. Everybody hates me. biggrin

I've seen most of the places in the Da Vinci Code, and I think it makes me weird more than anything else, because normal young people would party during their holidays instead of visiting all the creepy churches in Paris.
I feel superior about having spent a lot of time in Jamaica. I really feel that my life wouldn't be so great and that my mind wouldn't have developed in such an amazing way if I hadn't lived there.

Oh wait. I thought of something.
I am secretly superior about being a trained ice cream technician and knowing how to properly portion a like it, love it, or gotta have it along with making a proper shake.
and also sleeping with the boss

Secretly superior...? I can't think of anything in particular. I guess offline I'm a bit secretive about my knowledge of sex because I don't want s**t going around like, "OMG PHOEBE'S A SLUT".
Sometimes I keep my opinions about fashion under wraps as well. That's because I found out that there were people who were afraid to ask me things because they thought I would verbally slaughter them over what they were wearing. It's just that... I have strong opinions about certain trends, and some people need to realize that just because something is "in" doesn't mean it'll look good on them. gonk Yeah, I'm a snob about certain parts of the fashion industry.
I pretty much flaunt what I know when I can. Like... my favorite band, The Raveonettes. I've listned to them since their first album came out ("Whip It On"). They're well known in Denmark and have won a number of Danish Grammy's. They're slowly gaining popularity over here in the US, which is great. But I still like thinking about how I've probably known their music before most people here. I generally force them upon my friends.
Adrian- Cold Stone, eh? <3

I loooove Cold Stone. *wants* =(
Uh.... Oh. I get annoyed when people think they know more about pizza than me. >.> I pride myself on my "extensive" knowledge of my job and I can get a bit uppity about it. ;D ("You're cutting it wrong. Yes, you are. Give me the damn cutter and I'll SHOW you how to cut it.")
I also get like that about books, mainly the Wheel of Time series and Harry Potter. People claim to know more than anyone else about those books and the competitive part of me just flares up and gets into trivia wars. And I like to brag about how I taught myself to read by the age of 3. Beats me if I really did, but my mother claims I did, so hey, I'll pass that on. ;o

Now I think I'm dumber than a pile of s**t, but I was a genious baby. I was crawling by five months, walking by seven months, and I knew over 150 words and phrases at 16 months. And they weren't short little dumb words like "and" and "to". They were words like "cheerios" and "shampoo". Really profound words. Dammit. ^.^
I do know quite a bit about classical music. I've never gotten into the whole pop music scene. I started playing the piano when I was in kindergarden. When we had to write reports in elementary and middle school, I always did mine on some composer.
Also, Mother's an English professor so I know a lot about classic literature. While other kids were listening to their parents reading "Barney's Big Adventure" I was enjoying Oliver Twist and House of Mirth.
I really shouldn't, but I pride myself in knowing all there is to know on every anime show I've ever watched. I know the voice actors, drama behind the scenes, various trivia, and all the character's backgrounds. Because I'm a nerd like that.

According to standardized test scores, I'm the smartest person to have graduated from my highschool in over a decade. But considering we're talking about standardized tests and a school with about 26 seniors in each graduating class, that's not saying much.
And I worked in a deli in Wisconsin for three years, so I'm also mildly snobby about cheese. Snobby enough to recognize and lament bad cheese, but not snobby enough to turn it down, for my love of cheese is too great.

I'm a ******** b*****d about my comic fandom. I don't, say, get pissed off at someone for liking a book I hate or hating a book I like. That's life. But I am of the absolute belief that I am better than:
-people who only read stuff from one company "because they're better"
-people who think that Wolverine could drop Superman
-people whose main factor in whether they read a book or not is the presence of homosexuality ("I love this book because Northstar's in it and Northstar's gay!") ("I had to drop Birds of Prey because Babs and Dinah were flirting too much.") Oh, this is a big one. stressed
-people who read comics SOLELY for the TnA.
-indier-than-thous.

I only realized this last night at work and really had no idea that I got so passionate about it. I found myself almost preaching to these two guys about proper piercing cleaning techniques and how to prevent infection. It made me feel wierd as I knew so much and they stood there clueless about anything I was telling them. So I guess I am a little superior about my piercing knowledge than most people I meet.

Damn ColdStone. Although that job did make me feel really good about my ability to lead people, seeing as I got promoted after only working there for about a month. So, I guess that would make me superior? It then, however, stole my soul. So, it all evens out in the end.

How could I have forgotten the biggest thing? gonk
I hate when people who've only had like one or two semesters of choir/voice think they're all that because they've got a voice that sounds okay - they don't seem to realize they've got horrible pitch and know nothing about ANYTHING. I was in five choirs in my four years of high school, and I'm damn proud of it. Unfortunately, I can't listen to half the music a bunch of my friends like because the singer's pitch is awful and pisses me off.

Urbane The Mini-Management This is amusing. heart I love the things we're secretely superior about. I get that way about spelling and grammar sometimes. heart Oh the irony. In fact, I must have botched that when I was correcting it the first time. Hee! However, typos are yet another category. One that I'm not so secretely superior about, at least not on Gaia. In the real world, when I read stuff that has a typo, it irks me, but I'm so used to it here.

Oh, it pissses me off when people use the wrong their, there, and they're. And affect/effect. And other stuff like that. It's not that hard, people.
I'm also an elitist about Macs. I don't care how "compatable" PCs are with stuff, Macs are still the better computer. Dad works at the paper, and they use Macs, so I've been around them pretty much since I was born. If you give me a Mac, I can figure out almost anything on it if you give me a couple hours. Product manuels are for pussies.
