((Laur, post!))
Thais was in fact not waiting for the other apprentices to leave the room, rather she was waiting to see if Uriel would speak to her. When it was apparent he would not, she turned to her apprentice and smiled, although it was hidden by the cloak. "Tarrant, perhaps we shall head into the forest, and i will show you where we will be training," she said, gesturing for him to follow.

((Hooray! I borrowed the first, third and fourth books for the holidays today. I'll see if my brother can get the second book from the Eastern Campus biggrin )) Tarrant nodded and followed the woman he'd spend much of the coming months with. She was an enigma, which automatically intrigued one such as Tarrant.
((Le gaspe! I thought I'd killed all short posts in the Great No0b Massacre of 05...))

Uriel walked up to her but couldn't find the courage to really say much he stuttered only managing to get a greeting out, and by the time he had finished he was blushing crismon and felt like running away. He stood rooted to the spot wondering if he should make some sort of excuse as in training the apprentices to get away from further embarrasment.

((Caleb, do not post OOC posts. Please. And if you read Ice Wizard's post, you would know what to do))
Thais opened her mouth to say something to Uriel, then closed it and gestured again to her apprentice. They left the keep and headed out into the forests, where she would train him. Soon, they came to a small cottage, deep in the recesses of the forest. She smiled and opened the door, inviting her new apprentice in. The inside of the cottage was small, but cosy, furnished by someone who favoured simplicity as beauty. "This will be your room," she said, showing Tarrant to a small room off the kitchen. "Place your belongings here and see me when you're done," she said, leaving him to do as he saw fit with his meagre belongings and sitting down by the fire to fletch some arrows.

Phoenixstormclaw Keegan smiled openly, glad to have found his station in life. Stepping forward, he nodded his appreciation before adding, "I will study hard and diligently in order to uphold the honour of the Rangers." Tarrant repeated the phrase Keegan had used. His brother was always better at finding the right words to use. Besides, his stomach was tied in a knot with excitement. Aquilla sighed at the twins' seeming lack of enthusiasm. He stepped forward beyond the twins' shy steps and held out his ornate, gold-inlayed bow in front of him. "As the wind flows through the trees and the waves crash on the sand, so will be my service to the Ranger's Guild. As the wolf hunts day after day and the forest owl hunts night after night, so will be my perseverance to the goals and aims of the Ranger's Guild. My bow and the hand that wields it will forever be in service of the Ranger's Guild. I submit myself to your training, sir." His speech grew louder and more filled with conviction as he progressed through his speech, hoping to impress his master and become his prize student.

Kain sighed to himself as he listened to Aquilla, it was a lot of junk really. How could anyone know what they would do in the future, that was just stupid. "Well first Aquilla stop all that crap. It isn't inpressive to anyone except those that are simple minded or like flowery speech, and I'm not one of those people. Now follow me Aquilla and Keegan," Kain said as he lead them to a cottage like Thais's, only about 50 metres difference. "Ok well set your selves up in the rooms over there. After you get unpack we might have time to start training. Tonight we'll be having dinner with Thais and her apprentice," Kain said as he led them through the cottage to two rooms, each with a small bed, a wardrobe and a bookcase filled with books of information or maps etc. 'I'll leave you too to decide which room, not that it really matters and get lunch ready," Kain relied as he headed out to the kitchen to prepare some bread and soup. ((Ok lets make it almost 12.luchtime rofl ))

((I was typing my post and then realised that Icy had posted just then. Now I have to add more than just the stuff about hating poetry...)) Keegan theatrically rolled his eyes upward. Yet another poet. How incredibly average. Too common lately. Alas, for he may in fact begin to annoy me with this descriptive and meaningless speech as we come to know each other better.
After arriving at the cottage, the Apprentice looked at Aquilla and shrugged, deciding that it wouldn't matter which room they decided on occupying. Thus, Keegan walked into one of the two rooms by random choice and began setting his possessions into their new homes. His eyes passed over the maps and books in the bookcase and he mentally decided that he'd peruse them when and if he was ever at leisure.
Tarrant shook out of the daze that consumed him as he had entered the beautiful cottage that most likely provided clear insight into his new master, and began 'personifying' his new room with his possessions. It only took a few moments, for he did not own much in the way of possessions, so Tarrant left his bedroom and stood by the warm fire near his master.

((Dont OOC. *pokes out tongue*))
Aquilla threw his stuff into the room, infuriated at his master's ignorance. He picked up an axe from its hanging place on the wall and stormed outside to chop some wood. He thought he could take out his anger on the wood before his real training began.
Chop... Chop... Chop went the wood underneath Aquilla's axe. He was already starting to miss his friend Curtis, and he smiled happily at the thought of Curtis runnig up with open arms.
Aquilla shook his head violently. These feelings had no place in the hardened psyche of a Ranger. What was happening to him? Aquilla thought to himself as he chopped neatly at the log in front of him.

Thais smiled at the thought of Kain, her counterpart, and wondered how he was doing with the boy Aquilla. Thais was glad Kain had offered to take him; he didn't have a ranger's personality, yet he had the skill. His personality was more attuned to that of a knight, but he would have been terrible in that field. She was glad they had decided on Tarrant as her apprentice. She liked the boy and knew they'd get along well. She stood up, and walked out of the cottage, knowing he would follow. She pointed to a well worn path. "There is a creek just down this path. I would appreciate it if you would fill up these barrels," she said, pointing to two large barrels and bucket he could use. It was time to begin his training, and the mile walk to the creek and back the amount of times it would take to fill the barrels was a good start.
Griffith grinned at his speechless counterpart, and nodded to the apprentices. "Uriel and myself will meet you in the courtyard shortly. I expect you to be attired appropriately for your run," he said, reminding them that he hadn't forgotten. As the apprentices left, Griffth turned towards Uriel. "You're just too damn shy," he said, shaking his head.

Curtis went to the change room and out of his backpack pulled a pair of shorts and a brown-grey singlet. Quickly he put them on and strapped up his running boots.
Walking out, he could see the track layed out for him. He breathed in the fresh air appreciatively, watching as other boys groaned and started to sprint. But Curtis knew better. He started to jog, feeling the air around him, remebering something his wise old grandfather used to say.
Long distance runs should be enjoyed, Curtis. Dont rush it, jog it until the scenery wears out. Then make use of your conserved energy and run.
Just run.

Kain sighed to himself as he wandered towards the rooms, Aquilla would ahve to have his aragance drilled out of him. He also had to learn to just speak the truth.
"Keegan could you gather some fire wood for me please?" Kain said, saying it in a way that implied that there wasn't really a choice. Heading over to Aquilla he grabbed the axe off him. "I want you to gather water from the stream about a mile down from here. My only bucket has a small hole in it and so you will have to be fast. When you fill that," Kain said as he pointed to a large wooden container next to the cottage, "You can get you lunch," KAin said as he headed back into the cottage. That excersice would hopefully tire Aquilla enough that Kain might actually be able to teach him something.

He glanced at Griffith saying dreamly "I know i-i just can't help it, she just seems so, so perfect, if only i had your confidence..." he sighed looking away. He strided with long steps he had won a few battles for their kingdom but he felt for a woman as great as Thais, he would have to win a kingdom.

Griffith laughed at his friend. "One word. Obsessed," he said, patting Uriel on the shoulder. "Come on, we've got ten miles to run."

((Box? Is the lunch IN there or do I sit there when I get my lunch? And no, I dont hate you. My character hates your charatcer. Dont get too worked up, kay sport? smile ))
Aquilla stormed off, grabbing the bucket without stopping. He marched toward the river, cursing at his master under his breath.
