whybecause789 Every season, there's a girl that says: "Oh, this'd be a hot prom dress!" (in reference to the silk) Or something to that effect. One of my girls actually tried to snipe a flag for that purpose. It amuzed me to no end... Ahh, silly freshmen, silks are for ninjas!

Our guard uses our equipment for guard, nothing else. But our instructor likes to bang the flag on the floor if he's pissed at someone. He's thrown sabers and riffles at us too.

Emathai One of my favorite things to use a flag for is a blanket. Yeah, its thin, but amazingly, it insulates body heat very well 3nodding . I also know some people who have used rifles as pillows @.@. But I've used my rifle and sabre for props in many skits, class projects, Halloween costumes, show and tell thingies, and of course, whacking a band kid or two when they get too close to me in the drill twisted yeah flags make awesome blankets when we are in the stands before half time!

when leaderships not looking I use my flag to do push ups on instead of having to put my hands on the hot cement.

Since we couldn't sit on the ground in uniform, we'd always lay out our flags and sit on them instead. I can't think of anything too odd that I've seen a peice of equipment used for though...

My friend likes to pick on me during practice so if he goes to far I chase him with my rifle cause he knows that mine is the heaviest and he doesn't want to feel it.

let me see, there's the obvoius beating sticks, and when carrying sabers it's fun to mess with peoples heads by swinging at myself. my gaurd instructor gives permission to hit anyone in our war during performances twisted and during one performance i managed to hit the band director. so worth 500,000 points

Hehe I throw my flag around outside alot....so I've kinda decided that if anyone comes anywhere near me and I don't know them then I will wack them with my flag.....luckily for them, most people have enough sense not to mess with a girl who's throwing around a gigantic flag and obviously knows how to use it. I also use my flag to lay on....and for wacking my sister on the head when she's being annoying.....and to lean on when I'm outside...and for shade....and for spotting when I'm practicing my lyrical routine for dance class and I have to do turns...that's all I can think of right now, though I'm sure I've used it for something else.

yes, 6-foot metal poles with 3-foot flags on the end seem to make really good weapons. i don't know why though xd (they make good brother-beaters too) jk ^-^

pole vault!!!!
now that i actually know how to pole vault, I use my flag for that.
we also have used a flag to cover up a clock and thus, hopefully, make our break longer. didn't work.
on a slightly related note, during camp, we make it a tradition to make a cave out of rolled up wrestling mats. It's so fun.

My flag I use as a blanket mostly. I use my rifle and saber to hit random tubas with! lol The tubas in the band at my school are not nice! The guard also uses it to push our instructors into the pool with the day after band camp! rofl Our guard instructor has a habit now at not coming to our pool parties because of it! lol
