Loswen and Neniel, staying in the back of the crowd, watch as Gil-Galad and other walks towards the tower here in Lindon. Once the crowd went it's own, Lowsen turns to her little sister.

You didn't tell me you sailed with the High King!

Neniel grins.
You didn't ask. Gil-Galad is a wise king, as many know, but he is kind, as is the Lady Galadriel. I met both in Minas Ithil.

Loswen nodds.
A high honor indeed to meet two Noldor so fair as they. Come, if there is a banquet, I am sure many will be there and you can tell me all about your adventures in Gondor.

Glorfirith smiled as she watched Gil-Galad greet everyone. She took hold of Genevieve's arm and pulled her off the boat.

While Glorfirith greeted everyone, she introduced Genevieve to anyone she didn't know. The whole while, attempting to avoid Elrond. She was sure that he had found her surprise that she left for him when she set off on her adventure so long ago.

Elendil the Tall
Menegil Belmagol
Elendor Naurind
Morthol
Isilien Andunel

The escort of the High King of the Elves proceeded through the streets. Gil-galad was at the head of the parade, along with Elendil the Tall, Isilien, and Menegil. Following behind were Morthol, Nolah, Elrond and Elendor, who could not take his eyes off his High King's lordly grace. The last of the retinue were the Councilors, nine overall, dressed in ceremonial white tunics and golden breastplates.

The streets were filled with Elven people, bowing as their King passed through. Elven horns still sounded, and from the top of the households, innumerous rose petals were being thrown by the children. The floor was covered with an amazingly beautiful carpet of roses.

Morthol was torn asunder by the beauty of Mithlond, that he had never visited before. He looked to his bride, beside him and, mustering his courage, he asked for the company to halt.

"What is it, Morthol? Is there something wrong?" Elendil promptly asked, terribly curious as to Morthol's reasons.

"No, Sire. I wish only to adress to the High King of Lindon, and ask to him if he would like to give us the grace of His presense on our wedding..." He raised Nolah's hand, as if it were a nuptial gesture, and turned to Gil-galad [/I]."...that will be presided by Elendil, my lord, and shall take place at the great clearing near the docks, at the sunset of tomorrow."

Silence covered Gil-galad's retinue . Elendil turned around, to face Morthol, apparently disappointed with something.

"Morthol, I understand you are impatient for your cerimony, but couldn't you wait until we'd arrived to the King's Manor, where we would be able to discuss this matter...privately?" he emphasized, looking like half disappointed, half amused.

"I beg your pardon for my impatience, Sire, but I do not intend to invite the High King of the Noldor only..." He turned himself to face the greater mass of the population of Mithlond, that had followed th King's retinue. "...for it is my wish also that the entire population of Mithlond could be there to witness this event, which is the happiest of my life."

The crowd cheered and nodded, apparently accepting Morthol's invitation. Elendil and Menegil laughed together heartily, along with the soldiers, and Isilien, surprised by the young Dunedain's devotion and dedication to his bride, agreeded to attend to the cerimony, to bless the merry couple. Elrond smiled broadly, for he had met the youngster before, also agreeing to attending the cerimony, Elendor nodding with him. But Morthol now gazed anxiously to Gil-galad, as he awaited the High King's response.

Araloth Vinyare

As the procession swept down the streets, Araloth found herself carried along by the tide of people, until she broke through and stood in silence a little way off. A second later, the Elven Lady realized that she had never been to this bustling city before, and had no idea where she was to spend the night.
Morthols' announcement broke through her reverie. Araloth supposed she might well stay for that, and then be on her way again, unless there was some reason to remain where she was.

"Strange are the marriage customs of the Edain to my Eldarin ears," exclaimed the High King of the Noldor. "But nonetheless I foresee that such a festivity could bring joy and amusement to my peoples. Aye, good Morthol, I would be honored to attend your marriage feast."

He smiled as he accepted his invitation, for odd though it may be, who was he to judge the actions of the Dunedain? They were a people whose customs were so greatly different from his own kindred. Indeed, he could dwell for all his immortal life with the Afterborn, and still he would not understand much of their ways.

It would be an experience, to be sure. Two lovers, standing before the Sea in the morning dusk, offering up their vows of marriage before an entire city. Such romance I have not seen for many a yen! May Manwe the High King and Varda his Lady smile upon these two!

The King then gazed upon the streets of rose, and the carefree Elf-lasses and lads smiling about tomorrow's feast. Crouching, he took in his hand a few of the rose petals. "Such a fair city," he whispered, "so it is only just that the union of two fair youths should be done within it's walls." He turned to his entourage. "Well then, let us make haste to my manor in the hills, so that we may finalize the preparations!"

Thus he turned and with even greater haste than before, he made his way to his tower.

Nolah Pennbeleth

Nolah held tightly to Morthol's hand. She felt a swell of warmth deep within as the Elven King spoke in agreeance to their invitation. Turning her head, with a happy smile on her face she stared at her beloved and then, knowing that perhaps it was inappropriate got on tip-toe and kissed him hard on the lips, fingers tangling in his dark hair. There were chuckles and small exclaimations but she did not care as she pulled away and then stood dociley at his side. There was no place she would rather be than with Morthol in this beautiful place.

And as the procession moved forwards towards the manor she felt an excitement flutter in her chest. Pray Larion be done with my dress...

Neniel Starfire

Neniel smiles as she watches Nolah and her husband to be. She had only just met the lady, and hadn't met many others besides who had come from Arnor. By now, Loswen is leaning against the pillar of a building, content to watch from the shadows as the High King and the others with him pass by where she and Neniel had walked to. Neniel walks over and looks at Loswen, confused.

What is it?

Just thinking. Nolah is a good friend, and I am happy for her. But I've lived a large amount of a lifetime all ready, I know I'll outlive a lot of Dunedain here. Celebrations like this always get me thinking.

Not an Edain, not an Eldar. I know the feeling. But my fellow Ranger in Osgiliath always told me that it doesn't matter if I'm a Dunedain Ranger or a Eldar lady, as long as I act like myself, things will turn out all right.

]You're Rangers are wise.

Neniel laughs.
No, just sober on the night watch on the walls of the city.

Elrond: Mithlond streets

Elrond walked the streets admiring the wonderful architecture, or so it seemed. While strolling about he caught a glimpse of a dress he knew all to well.

"GLORFIRITH!" he exclaimed. And rushed after her, but upon turning the corner she had vanished. "Hmm," he thought to himself. "I shall get my hands on that girl soon, very...soon."

But thinking of his long journey and distance from home he retired to his shortly renovated study to think some more about his reasons for coming to this place and away from his people. He knew it was all for the best, but he still missed them. He stood up and went to the window, viewing his kin below him.

He let out a small sigh and turned towards the door. He took a quick survey for any action and resumed his search for a young elf he was particularly fond of...but would kill nonetheless when he got his hands on her!

Glorfirith went with the group that was going with Gil-Galad. She was happy that there was a wedding coming up. "A wedding after a long boat ride was quite nice." she thought.

A voice carried on the wind as she skipped around a corner, calling her name.

"I think I recognise that voice... uh oh..." She sped up a bit and attempted to stay concealed among the other people in the streets. "I think Elrond got the present I left him." Unfortunately somewhere while she was dodging, she lost Genevieve. Just as long as Genevieve doesn't attack anyone here...

Araloth Vinyare
Araloth jumped as an elven maiden shot by her, hotly persued by Lord Elrond. As she turned to follow the crowd sweeping through the streets, he walked forward to rejoin the nobility, evidently having lost the girl he was chasing. Caught up in the crowd, she was swept forward towards the tower of lord Gil-Galad.

Elrond: Mithlond Streets

Elrond sped even faster as he lost the girl around a corner. "Curses," he stated to himself, "she is too good."
He was just about to leave when he heard a small pebble drop, he slowly lifted his eyes upwards and perched upon a small column was the girl he had been pursueing. Noticing the column was too odd cornered for him to manuever up he decided to try the kind approach.
"Oh GLORFY!!!!" He said in a...kind...voice. "Come down here for a moment, uncle needs to speak with you." And his face wrenched out a smile as he beckoned with his finger for her to approach him on the ground.

Glorfirith was casually crouched atop a column congratulating herself on an excellent hiding spot when she saw Elrond walk around the corner. She glanced around only a little too late looking for alternative escape routes. There were a few she could use to her advantage should the need arise so she waited for him to come closer.

She saw Elrond pause at a loss to where she was. Glorfirith smiled as she reached over the edge of the column and knocked a small piece of stone from it, then waited for Elrond to see her. When he looked in her direction she gave a big grin and waited for him to speak.

"Oh GLORFY! Come down here for a moment, uncle needs to speak with you."

"Mae govannen, Lord Elrond! It has been a while has it not? How have you been? I would come down but I quite like the view from up here. It's quite lovely!" She shifted slightly hitting a piece of stone and watching it drop next to Elrond. "Oops! I appologise!" Glorfirith said with a most innocent tone.

Neniel Starfire
Loswen Starlight

Loswen wasn't sure what was going on between the elf maiden on the pillar and the elf lord she knew was Elrond. She was confused and looked to her right. Neniel was beside herself, trying to hold in her laughter.

Do you know something to cause this?

Neniel shook her head. No, but it doesn't supprise me. The maiden up there, she was on the ship with me, and is quite a handful. You have to watch your back with her. I can only guess what she did to the elf lord, but after a ship ride, even one where I was sick all the time, was never boring if she was around.

Elrond: Mithlond Streets

"Oh that is ok." Elrond replied to glorfirith. "Come on lets go for a walk." He said with a small smirk on his face.
But glorfirith defiantly shook her head against Elrond. He goaded her on but still she would not come down. "Perhaps she is on to my seeking revenge," he thought. "but how?"
So he took a little walk around the small square engaging her in small talk but still she would not leave her perch. So he decided to poke her with a stick, for no particular reason. But nevertheless it was to no avail.
"Well," he commented. "that is fine you can just stay up there all day for I am in no hurry." So he stood and he stood what seemed like forever and finally being more mature than her Elrond's patience wore out and he stormed off.
He thought he heard her climbing down so he ran back into the square to catch but she was still at the top of the column.
So he thought "I know! I will just bring my surprise to her!" And with that he took one last look to make sure she was still there and then took off for his study hoping to get there and back before she could get too far.
