Minas Ithil ~ Houses of Healing
Isildur notes the sad song of Númenor, wondering who had chosen to sing it in such an hour. But any attempts to find the singer are forgotten as his brother enters the room. Isildur grasps his brother's hand, happy to be reunited with his family. His own burden seemed lightened by the thought that the darkest hours had passed.
It is great to be back. And now I know for certain this is no last trickery of the Dark Lord.
As Anárion bows to Gil-galad, Isildur notices his rescuer for the first time. Noting the Elven-king had obviously gone through great pains to rescue him, Isildur smiles sadly.
I fear, My Lord Gil-galad, that my present injuries prevent me from honoring you as my brother does. But I am forever in your debt for rescuing me from...there... he says, carefully avoiding talking about the place where he was imprisoned.

Minas Ithil :: Houses of Healing Ereinion Gil-galad
"My fair Isilien!" exclaimed the Elven-king quite lovingly. "How I would love to stand and embrace you. But alas! My chest aches still, though the Black Breath is lessened, so I would not dare to stand." He grinned at his daughter, for though the memories of her childhood in Lindon were still as clear as the great sunsets beyond the horizon in Lindon, she had grown into a fair Elf-maiden, and a princess of her friend's great realm in the south.
But suddenly his smile turned into a frown. "The song I just sang. I learned it from you, Isilien, did I not? And you in turn learned it from Fíriel... does it pain you to hear that song, which was sung by the Faithful of Númenór? For though you are a Noldo, you are also a Númenórean. I shall stop."
To Anárion he now turned. "Sun's Son," he quietly said, "I will hold no debts against you. I rescued Isildur not because I sought the riches of Gondor, but rather because I hold you and Isildur to be as my own sons. Doubly so; for you are married to fair Isilien my daughter, and also you are Elendil's son."
Yet mustering all the strength he could, he leaned toward Anárion and whispered into his ear. "But if you would seek to repay this debt, then you may do so now by fetching me a messenger. You need not go yourself, but send for Isildur's steward, the keeper of your brother's tower, and bid him come to these Houses, for I fear my errand is not completed!"

Minas Ithil - Houses of Healing
Anárion shakes his head gravely at his brother's last comment.
Indeed not, my Brother. But let us not talk of such things until you and my Lord Gil-galad are fully recovered.
Turning back to Gil-galad, Anárion leans in to hear what the Elf King requests of him. He nods gravely and signals to a messenger to send for the Steward of Minas Ithil. He does not know yet what more the King of the Noldor has left to do, but is certain all will reveal itself in due time. After whispering to the young messenger and watching him hurry out of the room, Anárion turns at the sound of a familiar voice. There, amid the other members of his family, stands Nadorhuan, his eldest son.
Nadorhuan, my son! Anárion exclaims and reaches to embrace the young man.
I did not know you had arrived. Tell me, how was your stay with your grandfather in Arnor? Much has befallen Gondor during your absence, but it is nothing you should worry about.
Anárion decides it best not to trouble the young mind of his son with matters of the state.

Minas Ithil - House of Healing
As Kareswen enters the room, she hears the end of a sad song of Númenor before she sees Isilidur, smiling and talking with his brother, Anarion. Smiling herself, she walks over to and sits beside his bed, joyous tears sliding down her face as she looks at her husband.
There are no words to describe how happy I am that you have been returned to us.
Kareswen leans down and kisses him. She then turns toward Gil-galad, who is also bedridden due to his injuries, and bows before him.
Thank you, My Lord for rescuing Isilidur and returning him to Gondor. You have lifted a great weight from all of our shoulders and for that I am eternally grateful.

Minas Ithil
Glorfirith thought that sitting in front of the house of healing was becoming rather dull. She thought a little bit of excitement could be found elsewhere. It didn't need to be a lot of excitement seeing as how she just survived a trip to Mordor and back. She was planning on leaving to go back to Rivendell soon enough though. She missed being home with her horse by her waterfall. She was just waiting to see that everyone was healed and to see if she had to travel alone.
As Glorfirith walked along she caught a glimpse of a flagpole and it put a mischievious smile on her face. Oh the things she could do with a flagpole! But remembering where she was, she put the thought out of her mind. Realizing that she was becoming quite tired she headed back to sit outside the house of healing and wait once more.
"I do not even know why I bothered to get up." she said as her eyes slowly unfocused and her thoughts switched to dreams.

Osgiliath - Barrack Corridor
Naurnost everso gently brought the weapons from the room to side of the corridor. He still wouldn't allow himself to be sad, when all the suddenly the men came back with joyous looks on their faces. Puzzled Naur asked the man.
" What is going on ? "
It seem our Lord Isildur is saved oh thank Valar! and returns to his compainions.
Yes... thank Valar in deed... He murmered underneath his breath
Sighing Naur buckled the sword to his belt and slug the bow over his shoulder.
Alexander rushed back in time to catch Naur he beckoned.
" I know where they are .....we can still catch them if we hurry.."
Alex turned around and waited for Naurnost to come along.

Minas Ithil - Houses of Healing
Father! My heart is gladdened to see you recovering! Isilien exclaims and stands to embrace her Father. Gil-galad speaks of Númenor and the song she taught him and Isilien smiles sadly.
Though I am very fond of your singing, I must admit that hearing that particular song still brings tears to my eyes. I fear the memory of the Fall is still fresh in my mind.
Her father beckons to Anárion and Isilien stands and moves aside, allowing the two to speak. She cannot help but smile, happy to be among her family once again. As her husband and father quietly converse, Isilien takes this opportunity to move towards Isildur's bed where she stands close to Kareswen.
Isildur, I am so very glad to see you. The Healers of this house are highly skilled. You will be out of here in no time.
Isilien's smile masks her concern. She does not know what her brother-in-law was forced to endure at the hands of the Dark Lord, but she is sure it must have been terrible. His physical being can recover. But what of his emotional being? Watching Kareswen with her husband eases her worries. Whatever happens, she knows Kareswen will be with isildur every step of the way.
Movement near the entrance causes her to glance sideways and her warm brown eyes widen in surprise.
Nadorhuan?

Minas Ithil - Houses of Healing
Anárion listens to his son speak of his experiences with his grandfather and he smiles warmly. However his son's inquiry of the present situation causes him to frown slightly and shake his head.
You do not need to concern yourself with such matters. Know that your family is alive and well. I will tell you what you need to know, when you need to know it. For now, you must trust me, my son.
Catching Isilien's eye, Anárion sighs softly, realizing he is protecting his firstborn son as he protected her. Isilien, he knows, can take care of herself. But he is not yet ready to allow the same freedom and trust to Nadorhuan.

Minas Ithil ~ House of Healing
When his wife enters, Isildur forgets the previous conversation, and he weeps anew after feeling her tender kiss.
In my darkest hour, though the strength of the Valar protected me from death, it was thoughts of you that kept me alive. he tells Kareswen.
After listening to Isilien, Isildur smiles grimly.
I hope to recover as soon as possible, but it seems my body has a mind of its own. He says, half-jokingly, to disguise the pain he has begun to feel on his sternum again. In the meantime, I must speak to Lord Húrin before I rest again, for he must run Minas Ithil in my absence.
He is here. says a man, who appears slightly older than Isildur, as he enters the room. His stride is quick and efficient, and his eyes betray his concern for his Prince. How may I serve you, my Lord?
Double the number of guards patrolling this city, and be certain that every able-bodied man is prepared to fight. I fear that Sauron will try to attack soon.
As you wish...but there is one thing I must request of you, sir.
Yes, Húrin?
Rest well, and return to us as soon as you are able. Húrin says as he leaves the room.
After his steward is gone, Isildur speaks again only to say,My family and Minas Ithil are safe, then. Now I can rest happily.

Minas Ithil ~ Houses of Healing
Indis gave up trying to do anything and just propped herself up against the bed. She let out a sigh. Where was she exactly? Although her eye isght wasn't that great, she still had keen hearing. She heard singing in another room beyond hers. The voice reminded her of someone, but she couldn't remember. Then the singing stopped. She wanted the voice to continue, but then she heard other voices. She did not recognize any of theirs. Oh well, whoever it was, it obviously did not concern her.
She moved her head back and rested it against the bed. Blinking, she tried to make things out in through her blurry eyesight. She laid very still for a long time. After a while, she noticed her eyesight was getting better. It's wasn't so dark anymore and she could actually distinguish the floor from the wall. The cold numbness also drained from her body. She could actually feel the floor underneath her, the bumps and cracks. Maybe if she was patient, her eyesight and motor skills would return in due time.

So good to see you, my dear. I am glad you are home. How are you? I am very glad to hear you enjoyed yourself visiting your Grandfather. Perhaps you should go say hello to your other grandfather.
She motions towards Gil-galad.
