Roger strummed the guitar, irritated at the lack of inspiration. Things have been going great lately. To an extent, of course. But even now as he got up and began walking to the edge of the roof, he was once again filled with uneasiness. It would soon be the day he dreaded, the day life lost it's meaning and took it's turn for the worst. That day was growing near and there was nothing he could do to prevent it. He would have to push through, to rely on the strength of those who were there for him.
Mimi, he thought as her face lingered in his mind. He need her now, he loved the way she was, the way there were. Together. She was able to push him through hardest times and to get him to resurface in a new light. He loved her. But another face lingered in his mind, one of a lost lover. One who's death he would never fully overcome. The day was growing near. He dragged himself and the guitar to the door leading to the stairway. The uneasiness was still with him, but he did his best to push it right into the back of his mind. He would make his way to find her now. He needed her smile. Her fearless but positive outlook. He need her with him.
Mimi.

Mimi's leather warmed up in the bright sunshine...the sky was a glorious blue and everyone seemed happy...she ran..well more like skipped over to her apartmentw with a small bag of groceries in hand...as she set them down and grabbed her treat for herself-chocalate covered raisins...she heard strumming of a guitar from above...she slowly creeped up stairs and knocked on the door... "Roger? It's me...Mimi!!!Can I come in?" she said waiting for a reply.she ran her fingers through her hair makig sure it was OK and sighed as she pressed against the warm door bathed in sunshine from the skylight above the stairwell.

((Actually it happens a little later on in the story. This is so character depth is developed and can give an idea of what both characters are like. Also when her brother finds out she was in a wreck he realizes what he`s been missing. Thus creating a change in both characters over a period of time.))

Roger heard her voice just as he was about to open the door. He paused for a moment and the proceeded. Smiling, he pulled her close. God, she looked beautiful, her hair shined and eyes glistened in the sunlight. "Hey! You look great." He took her hand and lead her down the stairs. The thoughts of April went away. He would be fine. Eventually, he would be. He had Mimi now.

"Oh... HOW SWEET!!!!!!!!" she laughed and smiled as she ran to him and gave him a big bear hug... "C'mon.. . there's a street art fair a few blocks down..." she glowed as she spoke 'It'll be fun.. ya know, graffitti, chalk drawings,poetry.. .songs..." she hinted as she dragged him into the sunlight...the street was bustling with people she politly pushed herself through...well she thought so....

They recieved a few watch its, moving through the crowd. Pushing their ways through the crowd to be more accurate. Art fair? In this neighbourhood, it wasn't unusual. He's passed them by, never bothering to stop. Nothing he could do now but follow Mimi. The fact that he spend the whole morning by himself, thinking about...well...she had she been his main emphasis of his life for the last couple of days. Why was it so hard to push her into back of his mind. To forget about her. She was gone-afterall. Suprised at his own attitude towards the whole thing, his thoughts turned back to Mimi.. He needed to get out of that loft and that building. Last couple of days hadn't exactly gone smoothly. He loved the fact that he could always count on Mimi to brighten up his day.

"lets do some of those full body paintings!"
she smiled and giggled...
"you know, get a suit, get covered in what ever color you want and dance or whatever on a humungous white sheet thing."
She skipped around. She looked oer and saw some cheese on a stick YUMM! as Mimi bought two..It was rare that there was carnival food..usually there were some vegan food stands and a few hot dog vendors.. but she liked fair-food...she smiled brighly as she jammed the cheese on a stick in his hand...
"umm...cheesy carnival food..literally"
In the distance Mimi heard Jazz being played...she twirled accoardingly to the vibratos of the saxophone, using ther cheese on a stick as her dance prop..

B.T. sighed in frustration slamming her book and stood up. She was running out of words to say,"I`m so sick of writing songs I don`t know the words to. My diary skips three whole pages." She opened the window and drank from her bottle of Pepsi( which I might add, was rediculously expensive.) That`s what it cost for life`s simple pleasures. B.T. chucked it in the trash can,"And to top that, I`m in debt up to my ears. I wanna write a song that gets people moving and gets me off my feet. Somewhere in New York I`m sure but unsure. I can`t make up my mind."
