I was rereading Enchanter's Endgame and listening to my "All the music I have on my computer" play list, and No Dout's "Don't Speak" started playing when I reached the part when Polgara was bargaining for Durnik to be brought back. I felt it was the perfect way to describe what Pol was feeling at that point in the story.

Okay, a few as they come to me:
Belgarath -- "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse. Also "The Worst Day Since Yesterday" by Flogging Molly, which I see as his song during the very worst of his years of drowning his sorrows after Poledra bought it. Silk -- "Fly by Night by Rush", maybe. It's not awesome enough, though. I'm coming back to this one. Ce'Nedra -- "She's Always a Woman to Me", by Billy Joel. A sappy lovesong to a hyperfeminine drama queen. This would be from Garion. Yarblek -- "Finding Out True Love is Blind", by Louis XIV. A happy, pop kind of song about wanting to screw every single girl you see. Adara -- "I Got It Bad, And That Ain't Good" by Nina Simone. A song about being desperately in love with a man who isn't nice to you. Taiba -- "Gonna Make You Love Me" by Ryan Adams. A song about being incorrigible and ultimately irresistible. Torak trying to seduce Polgara could totally be "Supervixen", by Garbage. "I will be your religion/ a fallen star that you cannot live without/ and I'll feed your obsessions, and there'll be nothing/ but this thing that you'll never doubt/"
Well, I'm tapped out. Need to get to bed.

Every time I listen to Animal I have Become by Three Days Grace I think of Barak and his son.
