Mak gave a slight scoff at what Hikaru said, taking another bite of his hotdog and munching happily until what he heard next.

"Heeyy.... take that back." he said looking at the older boy. "'Side, I've got a big stomach, not a big mouth. You've got the big mouth, not meh." he said, trying to decide whether he was being messed with or not.

Rin giggled for no apparent reason as she decided to get something to eat. "I bet those two are having fun...probably Hika more than Mak" Rin said to herself as she stared out the window. The car passed the park and felt their presance get stronger, but then it dimmed as she passed away from it. Soon, the destination was reached. Subway.

When she got in she looked around at the short line and smiled that she wouldn't have to wait long. She ordered three footlongs, each different but stacked with a bunch of stuff she liked and a bunch of other stuff she normally wouldn't eat on her most hungry days. Gathering the sandwiches and about six bags of chips and some dip, she made her way to a table. She combined the chips and dip with the sandwiches and stored two away for later, while devouring the first one hungrily.

Sighing, Rin looked out the window. Across the street was the mall. The same mall that she'd met everyone in and froze. It had taken about a week or so to get the entire place unfrozen, and much of the stores inside suffered from it. She giggled. If she could do it all over again, there wasn't one thing she would change. Well, perhaps that wasn't true. A kick from inside brought Rin out of her day dream as she looked down and smiled.

"What, are you anxious to come out?" She asked. "Just wait one more month little one" She said, happily. She wasn't entirely used to it, but she seemed to be happy for longer periods of time than usual.

Yin walked through the town in an almost dazed and entranced sort of sense. Her long hair fluttered in the wind and she smiled contentedly enough at the people hurrying by her. She liked to be around people, but interacting wasn't her strong point. She walked into a large park and sat down in the green grass right beside a bench. She watched some children play, romping and rolling around in their made up fantasy. Yin wondered, had she ever played like that? she couldn't remember. She didn't remember much of anything.

She sat oddly, her legs tucked beside her and leaned on the bench as if trying to sleep or get up. She looked almost like she was hurt. Her eyes were half closed and she looked almost like a statue built beside the bench. She hummed to herself a waltz she had once heard in some dream or memory and was content to watch the world go by in the laughter of childhood than to interact with it.

Zack was off on one of routine walks. This time, he had a lot to think about. Mainly on his three month absence. How was he going to explain that to the Board of Operations. After word died down about the elementalists, he decided to stay in hiding for some time longer. Being in hiding did a ware on him. He loss a lot of weight and his skin was clammy. Zack was able to get to his place. Change clothes, not to mention take a shower, garb so spare change he kept by his bed and race out the house just as fast as he could.

Zack found himself at a park, the wind hitting him dead on. Making his today light blue, yellow fire, black dragon flannel flap more wider then before. Concluding, this was a good time to stop and rest, he took a seat at a vacant bench. Not noticing that he had company.

Yin looked up with curious eyes. Not a word and barely a movement betraying her presence. She simply watched this person in silent wonderment.

Yin smiled softly and stood ever so quietly, turning her back to this starnger and walking out of the park back to the busy-ness of the street.

~Until we meet again stranger~ she thought to herself, then dissappeared into the crowd of people.

((No rush the rin says...We're already two pages into it and I ain't even posted yet *sighs* we here we go then...)

Melody wandered around the fair grounds with a beer in one hand and a lit cigarette in the other. She could usually be found in places like this hanging out with her other delinquent friends but today she was alone. She was simply watching people. She chuckled seeing Hika and Mak together but didn't go over to the two teenagers. She didn't want company today. She took another sip of her beer and tossed it away along with her now dead cig. Fairs weren't the place to be today she guessed.

"Hey there little lady! ring the bell and win a prize!" A man who was standing next to one of those tall things where you hit this thing with a rubber mallot and if the thing you hit made it up to the bell you got a prize.

"As you wish." She said with a shrug as she took the mallot from him She smiled at the man who looked at her as if he doubted she could make it. She then swung the mallot as hard as she could and the bell sounded. She gave him a smile.

"One more time?" The man asked.

"Sure." She said with a smirk as she swung the mallot again and once again the bell sounded.

"Once more." The man said watching her closely. and again she swung the mallot and again the bell rung out.

"What do I win?" She asked as she brushed her hair from her face.

"How'd you do that?" The man asked. In answer she lifted him off the ground until she had to look up to meet his eyes.

"I work out." Was all she said in answer as she set him down and took the prize he handed her, it was an enormous black teaddy bear. "thanks." She said with a nod as she set about stalking the fair grounds once more. Maybe there was some fun here after all...

"How is the subject?" an official looking man asked as he entered a darkened room with only several computer monitors lighting it up. "He seems to be awakening slowly, though..." said one of several men stationed at the computers, looking up at the official. "Good, inform me when he awakens" he said, turning and leaveing the room

Hikaru only grinned as he stroked mak's cheek gentally.

"All the better to kiss you with my lovely."

His voice changed to mimic a fake wolf, his eyebrows wiggling just a bit as he pecked Mak's cheek and jumped up grinning.

"To...the FAIR!"

His last word rather loud as he grinned down at Mak, with a some what cat like grin. He held his hand out, smiling softly for a moment before blinking and looking about. His eyes turning a lighter color for a moment telling Mak, his empathy had flashed.

"Well Makky...looks like our fun days are numbered..."

He gave a sad, but cheerful smile. One that told his love that something new was comming this way. He looked up to the skies for a moment then back at Mak, the wind blowing softly as he smiled at the younger boy. The look the wind gave Hikaru brought back so many memories much like the times he'd offered his hand to the light elementalist so many times before. Those same sapphire eyes seeming to shine into Mak's very being.

As Rin would say 'Damn you Hika and your eyes...'

Though they never really worked on her, she knew they had a grand affect on others, as her own did. Something about the empathic power gave their eyes a soulful look and feel.

Mak blushed even harder, blinking and staring at Hikaru in confusion as he jumped to his feet. He cocked an eyebrow, giving a small smile and nodding.

"Wait a minute.... I have buisness to finish!" he said ina matter-o-factly tone, turning to the remainder of his hotdog and finishing it off withone bite followed by the downing of his orange float. He seemed to freeze in place a moment before turning back to Hikaru as his normal self.

"Okay then!" he said happily, taking Hikaru's hand and getting to his feet. He blinked at the older boy curiously for what he said, a small frown forming across his face at the memories and thoughts flooded through his mind.

"What do yah mean?" he asked curiously, knowing that Hikaru had a head start on knowing things that were coming due to his empathy, Mak trying to catch anything by the look of the air elementals eyes.

"Finally..." Rin said, upon arriving home. She looked around at her home and her neighborhood. The entire place was nothing but trees with her house set about half a mile away from another, which happened to be Hikaru's house, and about the same distance from Mak's. She had been away for so long before she returned those few months ago, and everything seemed to have changed.

The place didn't, to her knowledge, have quite as many trees as it had before, and more houses were gone, making the place somewhat more open but more unnerving, thanks to the new silence. She walked through her empty house and made her way to the kitchen, laying her last two sandwiches on the counter. Sighing, she sat on one of her stools, leaning against the counter.

"I miss them..." She said, her eyes rather sad. She smiled anyway. It had been more than a simple week since she'd not seen Mak and Hikaru. It'd been closer to a full month. She could always sense them, however. Mostly Hikaru. She guessed Mak hadn't completely taken hold of his empathic powers quite yet. Her smile became rather happy as she devised a little plan. She reached out onto Hikaru's mind and ran a mental hand over his shoulder, making it cold.

Melody was walking home now, she'd had her fun and was finally going home. She got home and tossed her new prizes from the fair into a chair and crashed on her bed. She watched the ceiling for a moment and sighed. She was living on borowed time and borrowed energy. It was only a matter of time before someone found out all her dirty little secrets, and when the right people found them out? Then what? What was she going to do then? She rolled over and faced the wall. No one would find out, she kept all her secrets well hidden, and they were not going to come back to haunt her.

She heard her appartment door open and close then and 'looked' at the person's energy. It was her room mate so she did nothing. "God is dead." She whispered. Then turning over yet again, she turned on her radio full blast, and fell asleep.

Eme wondered around the fair thinking of her mother. This was the last place that she could truely remember having fun with her mom and aunt. She knew she couldn't get to emotional now for her powers were becoming stronger and stronger and she wasn't sure how people would really take a sonic boom coming from this small "fragile" girl.

However she tried to remain happy clutching dearly to her newly won stuffed monkey that looked surprizingly similar to the one that was lost in the car. She knew that Michael would love it.

As Rin fiddled with cooling various spots on Hikaru, she decided to see if Mak was at all sensitive to empathy yet. She reached out and giggled in his mind before sending a chilly finger up his spine.

"I wonder what those two have been up to lately" She guessed, shrugging. She got a bowl of ramen and heated it up on the stove as suddenly a soft object rolled around her ankles. Rin smiled and picked her cat up, hugging her and kissing her little forehead. "You hungry, Bellah?" She asked. Belle's purring suggested she was indeed so and so Rin set her down to get some cat food.

Looking outside, she saw a squirrel munching on a nut. It stopped and looked up at her and blinked. ~strange thing~ Rin thought. Belle pawed at the balcony door, and so Rin decided to let the little cat scamper about if she didn't want anything to eat.

Belle took off, then haulted, seeing the squirrel. Raising her fur, she hissed at the creature, who only tilted its head in wonderment. Belle made threatening growls and hisses but the squirrel only blinked. Finally, Belle charged. The two sprang around the yard, the squirrel seeming to be having fun while the streaking black cat was out for death. Soon, the pair scurried up a tree.

It was a few minutes before any movement could be seen. "Huh..." Rin said, somewhat curious as to what was going on. Soon, however, Belle could be seen flying from the tree like some sort of Super Kitty and bounced off of the ground. She gathered herself and desperately ran towards the house. Behind her scurried at least a dozen squirrels as they all chirped and chased the poor cat until she slammed into the glass door, previously shut. The squirrels were only inches away as Rin slowly slid the door open and the cat wizzed through the house, the squirrels right behind.

"Oh...kay..." Rin said to herself. She could hear things crashing all about her house as Belle ran for cover, running all about the house before finally going back to the kitchen. Rin hurriedly scooped the cat up and scowled at the squirrels for making such a mess. "If you were human I'd make you clean everything up..." She said to them. They finally decided the cat wasn't worth their time and scampered back up their tree. Until next time.

Sighing, Rin shut the door and let Belle down, the creature's claws an unwelcome pair of guests to her shoulder. Sniffing the air, she could smell something burning. "MY RAMEN!!" She shouted, dashing to the stove. She turned off the bubbling pot and sighed. Her ramen was burnt on the bottom, but really creamy everywhere else. It could be saved. Smiling, she scooped it in the bowl and ate.
