Seriously, I didn't think people knew them in the USA. Untill the Guild started. If you told me this a couple of years ago...I also thought that Gothic Metal wasn't so popular in the USA(but it also isn't rwally popular in the Netherlands, so...)

I became a fan when I heard Mother Earth and Ice Queen. I loved it! Back then, Within Temptation wasn't so populair, but now almost everyone knows them. (Not everyone likes them, but they know them razz )

I was first introduced to Within Temptation, when my friend Jillyn was raving about the song "Jillian". I liked it, so I got some other stuff by them. "Jillian" is still my favorite song, though.

I always thought they were pretty good. I've seen them perform once before. But I really turned into a fan when they were coming to the city (Zwolle) near where I live and gave a concert in a church sweatdrop . First i didn't have a ticket and I actually didn't care so much. But the afternoon before the night they would play a friends called me and asked me if i wanted to go... He told me he and his family were on the guestlist (one of his dads friends helped making the whole event possible), but his younger sister had allready bought a ticket, so there was a spot open on the guestlist!! (yayness).
The concert was awesome! I wouldn't have missed it for the world. And I became instantly a fan, at the first song they played. After the concert we had a little chat with the drummer, they were all very nice people. One of the people with us wanted a picture of her and Sharon, but the manager of the band said they had to go. Right before going into the van, the poor girl could finally aproach sharon and asked if she could take a picture of them together. "Off course!" Was the enthousiastic answer she got ^^.
I'm not an obsessed fan though. I don't care too much about autographs and pictures of me and them, I git the memories and no-one can take it away from me! but I guess that's kind of the dutch way of thinking....
(Waah! long story..sorry xp )
