Scott pulled his arm out of Evans grasp and started moving forward when he remembered something. He was in the T-Virus research lab, taking a small sample might be useful. He quickly darted towards a containment drawer for the virus and grabbed a small vial filled with the T-Virus, along with another small vial filled with a blue liquid, though Scott wasn't sure what it was at the moment it might be useful too. He then carefully placed the vials in a special container on his belt before hurrying after Evan, towards freedom.

"Thanks, William."

The doors were just ahead. Evan jabbed a thumb at the trigger to open the doors, sliding through as soon as he could fit. Beyond was the main entrance and exit to this facility: an underground railway system, completely unseen by the normal population. Probably for the best Evan thought to himself.

The train was already started, and Evan rushed inside, seating himself at the controls. "William, I need you to make sure the end of this track is clear. As much as I love welcoming parties, I'm not in the mood to see a bunch of Trashsweepers happy to see me. You got that?" Evan already knew the answer, but asking anyway was more of a habit than anything. He peered out of the train. Mr. O'Connel, with some angry Cleaners after him.

Interestingly enough, the researcher was carrying a sample of the T-virus with him, and a vial of blue liquid...

Evan scowled. Of course, Mr. O'Connel couldn't have just gone along with Evan. Things would be alot more complicated now.

William spoke off-handedly, "That's a 10 4 big buddy. Taking out the trash." This was rather fun, William typed deliberately slow, to add more drama to even his own workings. The researcher didn't exactly promote speed either. "Cracked, B-E-A-utiful. So Evan, when our heroic sicence nerd comes through the South Wing door, it should close behind him. Now one important question, is the guy who runs this facility a survivor of World War One or something? He's got enough chlorine in this building to put Ypres to shame." William laughed at his own joke. Witty banter, insulting a megalomaniac, and his choice of chemical warfare.

Scott heard automatic fire behind him and dove, hitting the ground just before being hit. He rolled over and aimed his gun, firing a burst into one of the cleaners heads. As it's body dissolved the other two that had made it through the door sought cover, giving Scott time to enter the train. Bullets clanged against the closing door, however none got it.

Safely inside Scott breathed a sigh of relief and started towards the front. He found Evan there, just as he assumed and spoke up quickly.

"There's no point in hanging around, Umbrella have more deadly creatures than cleaners in here, and even the train won't keep them out." The words said he walked back a bit, and stood a bit back to the left of Evan, ejecting his Hecklers ammo clip and inserted a new one, the half empty clip going into his pouch. all the while awaiting a response.

William began to type madly, by-passing security codes, and the security codes, security codes. This system was a much more complex than William was used to, but he adapted. Like all good things it ended in a simple key. The enter key was pressed and gas was released from the vents. William smiled, his conscience was clean, from what he was reading on file, these things had long ago ceased from being remotely human. "Evan, whatever you do... don't crack a window open. It's far from the freshest of airs. I also think you should fill the scientist in on who you are... and give him a mike, if he isn't incompetent."

Removing an extra headset from his pocket, Evan threw it to Scott. "Trust me, O'Connel. They've already unleashed something worse than Cleaners." Then he took what Will had said into account.

Evan looked at Scott seriously. "My name is Evan. That's all you need to know for now. I work for a specialized department of the U.S. government, and came here with orders to get you out. And that..." Evan finished, relaxing. "is all you need to know. Now, to get us out of this hellhole." He scanned the controls of the train. Easy enough.

He jabbed at the controls, and the train jolted forwards. "Too easy--" No sooner than the words had left his mouth, the train shook forcefully. Up above, the roof of the train groaned it's disapproval. Dammit, Wesker! Giant claws tore through the roof, peeling it away with ease. The creature let out a wail, and hopped down into the cabin. The sleek, green beast let out a roar, turning it's scaly head to look around for victims.

"O'Connel, shoot it! I would guess even you know about the Hunter II model, right?" He swiveled in his chair, looking down the barrel of his handgun and firing three shots. Two in the shoulder, one in the chest. Not even close to enough.

Scott had caught the ear piece and placed it in his ear. Hearing at first silence, then what seemed to be elevator music... or 'on hold' music. Then Scott laid eyes upon the beast.

A hunter, or to be more precise a Hunter II model. Scott knew there were some in the facility, sometimes he wished he could conduct research on it but the G2 Virus had always drawn him back. Viruses were just so much more interesting. Scott shook his head, this thing was here to kill them, it was no time to be daydreaming.

The thoughts gone Scott raised his gun and the hunter stared right into his eyes. Scott sensed intelligence there and his knees wobbled slightly as he grew afraid. The hunter took a step towards him and was suddenly hit by three bullets. The bullets and Evans words drew Scott out of his fear and he raised his gun, aiming it at the hunter.

The creature ran towards Evan and Scott started to pull the trigger to hit its back, then thought better and aimed low, at its knees. Scott smiled, if he hit it would partially disable the creature. But still as he pulled the trigger the fear remained to a small extent. What if he missed? But he didn't and the three bullets smashed the hunter in the knee. One leg disabled the hunter collapsed forwards and Scott promptly put another burst into the back of its head. The three bullets smashed into the hunter, the first two barely penetrating but the third smashing all the way, destroying the hunters brain. The creature stopped moving and Scott smiled before a searing pain slashed through his back. He fell to the ground, pain coursing through his back.

As he fell his Heckler fell out of his hand, sliding slightly along the floor. His shotgun also fell partially out of its back holster, touching Scotts outstretched arm. He blinked his eyes from the pain yet surprisingly he wasn't afraid. No, he was angry, at least he thought it was anger. The pain lanced through his back again, feeling drawn out, seconds feeling like hours. Clarity returned as he blinked. Why was he still alive, hadn't it been longer? He started to get onto his knees leaning forward slightly, causing his shotgun to slide the rest of the way out and hit the ground near his arm.

Suddenly he heard four shots sound over his head and he rolled over, pain flashing through his back. The pain and the loud shots served to draw him from his stupor and he stared at a scond hunter standing over him. The hunter looked over him at where the shots had come from, Evan Scott realised. That moment of distraction for the hunter however gave Scott all the time he needed and he grabbed wildly at his left side with his right arm, grabbing his shotgun and brining it around just as the hunter brought its gaze back to him. He rose slightly and awkwardly aimed and fired, the shotgun blast making a ragged hole in the hunters chest and launching it backwards.

Scott leaned back slightly then sat up, pain lancing through his body. No further high pitched screams sounding from the train so Scott decided the hunters were gone, all dead, and he pulled his slashed kevlar vest from his shoulders, his shirt coming off with it. Pain lanced once more through his body. He heard something from behind him, but only made it out as a mumbled blur of words. Shaking his head he grabbed a first aid spray from his vest on the ground and reached around, spraying where the wound was. The cool spray from the can felt good and Scott managed to spray the entire wound, apart from a shallow slash higher up. He tried again, then gave up and dropped the can, grabbing at his shirt and trying to rip it apart so he could bandage the wound with it. He kept trying, not thinking, just acting, or at least trying to. He shook his head again and a thought formed. Evan. He turned around and looked at Evan.

The railway tunnel's ceiling whipped by overhead, wind thrashing about in the cabin. Something would need to be done about that hole in the roof, or it'd be a pretty uncomfortable ride.

Evan wore a mixed look between puzzlement and disgust. "Do you need help with that?" He asked. The second one had been a Sweeper: just as strong as a Hunter II model, but even more deadly because of the poision it's claws dealt. Evan got up from the chair, placing his handgun on the seat. He made his way uneasily to the researcher, balancing himself despite the movement of the train.

He knelt beside Scott, holding out his hand for him to give Evan the tattered shirt. "Let me do it." He offered a smile, perhaps some sort of consolation. Not that it matters. He thought quietly. The guy's poisoned and in pain, for crying out loud.

Shaking his head, Evan grabbed the makeshift bandages anyway. He took out a small vial from a pocket on his vest, and poured the thick liquid onto the bandages. "Stay still, this may sting a little." Evan drew the shirt taut, and wrapped it around Scott's body, tying it in a knot at the back. "There. That should do for now. Are you feeling okay?"

William returned from his bathroom break, hopefully his comment to Evan had bought him time to use the washroom. Then William noticed that the researcher was injured, and some rather fresh flesh was strewn about. "I leave for 2 minutes, 2 minutes, and you guys have already started the party." William brought up the specks of the slain beast, that by deduction had attacked nerdy boy. This poison was slow acting, but extremely deadly, they'd need an antidote, and sadly the only antidotes that existed were in two places. This building and... an underground facility near Raccoon City? That didn't make any sense, that place had been nuke rinsed. The place should have also been under a close guard. William switched to a secure channel with Evan, "Evan, you're going to need get an antidote for that poison very soon. You've got a choice between back to hell, or the flames from which it spawned really."

Reality seemed to be fading in and out slowly, but after a short while Scott felt something pulled around around him and reality came back to him. However with its return came a return of the pain and Scott winced. Suddenly a crackling sound came from somewhere to Scotts right. He turned and heard words but couldn't make them out. He finally spotted the source of the sound and pushed away from Evan grabbing the headset.

However nothing but a crackling came from it. Dropping the headset Scott clutched at his stomach, a deep ache had finally settled there. It felt like he would throw up but tha evaded him and he sat there, clutching his stomach. Reality faded again but soon returned, sharper then before.

He opened his eyes to find himself lying on his side. What the hel- Suddenly a sharp pain lanced through his back. He grimaced but the pain soon faded, yet never left. He could feel the pain slowly spreading through his back. What the hell is happening? He got onto his hands and knees and slowly pushed himself up, when his eyes finally came to rest on the body of the dead sweeper. He moved his hand to his back then looked towards Evan, panic slowly growing inside of him. Another lance of pain shot through his back. He opened his mouth and spoke, the words weak. "The sweeper, it's poison has been enhanced, w-we need to go back, the antidote. It's back..."

"There's another antidote in a much happier place than here, Scott." Evan said casually over his shoulder, seating himself once more in the chair at the head of the train. "Don't worry. I put a special 'something' on you to counteract the poison. It won't completely nullify it, but I've bought us some time." He glanced back at the two corpses littering the ground.

"There's no guarantee these things will stay dead." Evan hopped up from his chair, walking over to the first hunter. It looked dead, sure. But that didn't stop 'zombies' from rising again with the older T-virus. Shaking his head, Evan prodded the Hunter in the side with his foot. It didn't make a sound, the only resistance being from the bulk of the monster's weight.

His eyes trailed upwards. There was the door, and Evan figured with a little bit of skill he could fit the Hunter through there. Bending down and heaving on the reptilian monstrosity, Evan managed to push the body over to the side door. Once there, his hand pounded on the nearby switch, thrusting the doors wide.

Wind blew vigorously inside, threatening to swallow Evan whole. He braced himself against the pull, leaning low to the ground and shoving the body with his boots. With a few tries, it ended in success. The Hunter II model tumbled out of the doorway, crashing to the ground outside of the train, dropping out of view almost immediately. Beating his fist against the button again, the electronic doors whizzed shut.

Evan thought he heard a bump further down along the train, but he couldn't be sure.

"Alright. That bugger's not gonna give us any more trouble." Smiling at his accomplishment, Evan looked down at the Sweeper variation. This one had dark, purple skin rather than green. They were lucky it was only a Sweeper, and not some enhanced version of a Hunter model II. Sighing, Evan spoke calmly to Scott. "Can you get rid of that for me? I'd better take back the controls. Thanks."

William sighed, opening this to all channels again "Evan that wasn't the smartest of things to do. For one thing that thing could be taken back and tested. We need proof that Umbrella exists." said William watching CNN denying Umbrella still in existence for the 14th time this month alone. "Second of all, that Hunter didn't quite make it to the back of the train. It's still alive, and currently under the train. My guess is that Umbrella oufitted it with something I like to call pain receptors. After that thing gets the equavelent of being sawed open, or having surgery performed without any antiseptic, it re-animates with it's sole purpose to kill it's original murderer... with a vengeance. One improvement for the human race, it avoids other life-forms completely." William was stressed now, from what he was reading on file these Hunters had been nicknamed 'Vendetta,' how suiting.

This brought a smile to Evan's face. "Wonderful. I'll have fun with this one. And Will, we don't need to prove Umbrella's 'dark side' exists. Because even if we could, what would the government do? Send us a postcard from Fiji? They're no damn good for this sort of thing, and you know that." He checked his handgun. Three rounds left, plus three more magazines on his belt. That'd be more than enough for a single Hunter.

Leaving the near-empty magazine in for now, Evan prayed it wouldn't be too fast for him to reload. There was a crash near the back of the train, and Evan got intro the classic shooter stance. Hangun aimed for the middle aisle at the rear of the train, he supported his right arm with his left. That thing would be dead in seconds.

William switched the rather convenient system to thermal imaging, he was almost out of air. "Evan... move, it's right under you. RUN!" William own heart was thumping. He had almost entirely forgot Evan had called him Will, almost.

Scott shook his head, trying to clear it. He had heard only half of what was said, mainly the parts about the poison and hunters but though his mind was clearing it was still a bit foggy. He shook hi head once more, and heard a tearing sound from under the train. Suddenly a clawed arm reached in and swiped at Evan. He jumped back rolling once and getting to his feet then taking an aiming stance. The arm then retracted and two claws appeared, tearing a hole in the train.

A hunter climbed through the hole and looked at Scott once before turning as a bullet went through its side. It raced towards Evan and left Scott feeling confused and slightly afraid. For the third time since the attack his thoughts were the same. What the hell? The hunter died... But no, its here, and my guns aren't. Scott glanced around, wincing as pain shot through his back, then, finally spotting his shotgun he dove for it, painfully hitting the ground before raising his shotgun and shooting, hitting the hunter in the back of the legs, Hopefully Evan can finish it off. Scott thought as he drooped his head to the ground, pain flashing through him again.
