Final Fantasy. Let me count the ways I love thee. Oh yeah. I just need one number to justify my love of the series. That number is VII. My overall favorite game. Just...such a good story and the characters are the ones I grew up playing as and still play as today. Rant rant rant...rave rave rave...I just love FFVII.
I also love all the other FFs as well except for the movie The Spirits Within...thats just bad even though not a game...

My fave FF was IX. Although for some obscure reason almost no one talks about it. I haven't played VII though.

I played FFIX until Blank got petified sweatdrop I was so little and I started crying and I heven't played since then

FF2 kind of annoyed me. The leveling system was annoying as hell to me.

I was fine with everything else from FFII, just the damn leveling system. Annoying as hell to me.
On other game notes:
-VIII was a great play. Challenging how the enemies leveled up with you. Good aspect of a game.
-IX was a fun return to the classic 'fantasy' aspect of the FF series. Vivi is a great character and an FF role model.
-X was a very intruiging game. The battle system was new with the switching out of characters, which I liked. Auron was a badass. Wakka was funny. Rikku was funny in an ignorant kind of way. The only thing that ruined that game for me was Tidus saying, "Roger!"
-X-2....Shuyin and Lenne saved that game...thats it
-I was soooo much fun. Old school nintendo days, laddie! Fighters and black mages and white mages, oh my!
-IV was GREAT. Tellah = the man. The twins sacrifice. The betraying friend who finally comes to his senses. Great storyline.
-V was a fun time.
-IV was a great playthrough. Kefka...yeah...Kefka is the shiznit. Never have I been more proud of a Clown than in that game.
-Tactics was one of my favorites. Really loved the battle system there. And the story was beautiful, just beautiful. I also really enjoyed the secret characters you could get such as Beowulf, Worker 8, and my man Cloud.
-Tactics Advance was killed by the law system. I HATE laws in a videogame. Wheres the fun in laws?
-XI I havent had the urge to get since its an online based game and Im not willing to pay up the monthly charges.
-Finally...my baby...VII. Never has a game captivated me the way this game has. The characters, the story, the mythology of it. The open endedness it leaves you with is amazing. It brings you closure, but not the way youd like. Cloud and Zack are two of my favorite character creations ever. Sephiroth is one of the great villains no matter how much people hate him saying he was a horrible villain. I find there to be no greater pleasure than beating down the Weapons while using the Buster Sword and Omnislash on Mime.
-Advent Children was ill nasty yo. So much Cloud goodieness. The voice actors were perfect IMO.
-If youve seen it, Last Order...such a great reinterpretation of the Nibelham incident. It was great seeing Zack with a purpose somewhere and seeing what really happened in that time frame that the little scenario in the game couldnt show us. Even though it changes a little from the original, its still a very good reinterpretation.

I could go on for hours about VII, but Ill stop now and see what other people think of our precious series that has captivated a vast population of gamers.

That sucks. Id hate for that to happen to me again. My memory card wasnt erased, but my best friend saved over my master file. I believe I shed a few tears because of it. Everything was done...had beaten Ruby and Emerald, had 3 Gold Chocobos, mastered Knights of the Round naturally twice. God I think I retreated into a fetal position for a while when that happened.

If Final Fantasy was a candy... I'd steal it from you and eat it all. domokun
