I like beer, I look forward to the summers when i can go out side and sit and talk and have a few beers with my father and uncles, technicly i'm still too young but for me to have a beer is not illegal, only fo me to buy the beer and then it's the store owner who gets in trouble. same with smoking. I have never seen a problem with drinking. but then i learned my lesson about excess early. i still think at least one of the 12 ended up in the gutter after that wedding but, meh.

Ha ha! I like the way you look at things... your view is much like my own. Although I am still to young I do drink socially with friends and family.

yes it is because since God breathed a part of Himself when He made adam, it is like He's inside of us. we need to keep our bodies clean. -BUT- i believe it is ok to drink socially, or at home in moderation.

ZoeeKitty yes it is because since God breathed a part of Himself when He made adam, it is like He's inside of us. we need to keep our bodies clean. as long as you don't get all addicted and stuff over it, it's ok. i mean, Jesus drank wine, but wine doesn't have nearly as much alcohol as some other drinks do.

Yes it does, two or three glasses of wine are enough to make you feel pretty buzzed. that depends on your tolerance. if you drink heavily and often eventualy you can drink a bottle and still be ok. I thought i could handle a bottle of wine in a few hours, i will never forget the resultes. but i was young and stupid at the time.

I don't mind a small drink every now and then, but I try not to make a habit of it. Alcohol is way too expensive.

Caterham_Paladin Haha! I drink with friends or sometimes to help me sleep... I have never gotten drunk but I have been buzzed. i have been on the spectrum from "hey that was a nice beer" all the way to. "*THUD*" and out passed "shitfaced" it's not a pretty road.

I figured... I'm a happy drunk! The more I drink the happier I get. I also shut up when I am drinking sake. I just like to think and enjoy the aroma of the warm sake.

Well, having made a commitment to the straight edge lifestyle, I am not allowed to drink alcohol, smoke, use illicit and illegal drugs, or have promiscuous sex. I do not, however, believe it is a sin from a Christian standpoint for the same reasons as those who have posted here before me.
Oh, and when people say Jesus was rejected, it makes me sick. He got invited to parties! That automatically makes Him cooler than me...that and the fact that any reference to Him has to be capitalized, lol.

I've been in highschool longer than most and i've never been to a party except my friends birthday last year. who said Jesus was rejected??

Never been to a party other than a few family get togethers... I think that big loud parties are annoying and stupid. Yes get together with some friends and hang out but don't go ballistic.
I have had to break up a few parties myself... Heh a few good ol' boys with some shotguns and high powered rifles can break up a wild party faster than a skunk in an air conditioner.
