I'm not a satanist, but one of my favorite sayings is that the best revenge is a life lived well. I had a horrible breakup when I was younger with a very not nice person. He had attempted to steal my car, had cheated on me, etc. etc. A year after we broke up he came back into my life, said he wanted a relationship with me again, then said he had no feelings for me anymore and disappeared. I swore it would never happen again, and that I would have an awesome life. I started taking tae kwon do, and at first every time I aimed a kick or punch I pictured his face. After a while the hate started to fade, and I had gone on to earn a brown belt in tae kwon do, I'd lost weight, and I went to school, got a job, and eventually got married to a good man. The last I heard of the ex, he got fired from a fast food restaurant. Maybe not your classical idea of revenge, but it worked for me.

i think the punishment depends on the crime. if someone takes the last butterfinger candybar at the gas station and you really really wanted one, i really don't think its appropriate to seek to destroy that persons life. likewise, a slap on the wrist is not acceptable for someone who totals your car. i've sort of drifted away from thiestic satanism as i've studied various religions more, but i was told that father lucifer would look after us so we didn't really need to worry about revenge.

I'm not a satanist, so I agree mostly with Quetzlkotl on this one. My revenge will be to crawl my way out of this pathetic mire of unambitious filth to claim my rightful place on the highest echelon of society, while all those ignorant and shallow fools get left behind with the seeds they've sown.

Now, I'm not saying that if I had the power to strike back with impunity I wouldn't inflict agonizing pain on all those who've roused my ire (I'm talking good ole' fashioned broken bones... not a big fan of mind-tricks.), because then I'd be lying.

But as it stands I see no point in actively trying to ruin other people's lives, especially since the big G.O.D. seems to be taking care of the situation for me. twisted

Allow me to explain: To date, all the people I still have contact with who deserve my vengeance are already getting paid back in full, without me lifting a finger.

I won't go into the details, but lets just say isolation begets isolation, and betrayal breeds betrayal.

My views on revenge are simple and put like this. Don't test me, or it will come back to haunt you.

It depends on what you're getting revenge for. The revenge should match the wrong, and how you chose to do so (physically, mentally, emotionally, etc.) is your choice.

If someone broke our pencil I don't think you should shoot them in the head. You see what I'm saying?

For me, vengeance is just a part of life. I walk my path in life, never looking for trouble, but always am prepared for it. The concept is really very simple. Imagine a 12-13 year old boy standing in front of his fathers liquor cabinet just staring at it. This boy knows that he wants to take a bottle to his friends house to drink it, but he also knows that his drunk a** dad is gonna beat him if he does it. The boy sits there thinking about it and decides he is gonna do it anyway. Like the boy in the story, I analyze the situation, (in respect to revenge) how I have been wronged, what I believe would be a fair punishment, what the consequences for my admission of that punishment would be.
As far as physically destroying someone, I find it below me. I am not a barbarian, I am a Satanist Necromancer (No jokes!(no I can't raise a corpse from the grave)) I manipulate those around me, both living and beyond. Here is an example of what I am talking about. About 10-11 years ago I was dating this girl (she was my first love). Well we had been going out for about 6 months and in that time I had learned quite a bit about her home life. I had learned that her legal guardians (her grandparents) were in my opinion very emotionally and mentally abuse toward her. I think it had something to do with her mother doing drugs and who knows what else. Well one day I was at her house and I had just hooked up a phone in her room, so we could talk more. Well her grandfather backhanded her right in the kitchen, right in front of me. He really pissed me off. He hurt something that I loved greatly. I went home that night and pulled out my incense burner and my black candles and set them up upon the headboard of my water bed (at the back of the headboard was a mirror). Set everything up and began staring into the mirror. The entire mirror turned black, I couldn't see anything in it. I then spoke the words "All the pain he has inflicted upon her, her entire life, within one second" I then went to bed and forgot about doing it altogether. until a week later when he had an anuerism (I know that is misspelled but I can't remember how to spell it, it is 5:14 AM here) to the brain. Thus vengeance was dealt to the criminal and there can be no blame on me.

it rages from simple fights to vendettas, and if the situation calls for it have the person taken care of by the HA(its yet to come to that yet but theres one guy thats pushing it)
