Stormbeard Tash NaliDar I personally perfer old IE with Barlow. I think Owens is a great vocalist, but he's no Barlow. The Glorious Burden just didn't feel like an IE album to me. I ******** love the Glorious Burden. He's a different facet to Iced Earth. If I'm honest, I prefer Barlow for the originality of his voice, but I don't think Ripper in neccessarily worse. I never said I didn't like the Glorious Burden; I only said that it didn't feel like an IE album to me. And I never said Owens is worse, I just prefer Barlow.

I'll agree with all of that. Still the band that it is, is a ******** good one biggrin Yeah, but there's still the problem with the loyal Judas Priest fans who are mad at Owens for taking over Halford's role when Halford left, so of course they're going to say bad things about Owens, because they're still holding his involvement with Priest to him. that would happen to anyone, though. Imagine if Ralf Scheepers HAD made it past the audition and became Priest's replacement vocalist? They'd probably be mad at him too! (plus, there wouldn't be Primal Fear out just yet, and he might've been the one to join Iced Earth).

Caedian Cipriani I've got Alive in Athens blasting away at the moment. One fantastic live album. In my opinion, the best live album ever created, just by the quality of the recording. It's almost like you're listening to a regular full-length album!

Tim Owens in Winters' Bane > Tim Owens in Iced Earth, or Judas Priest, for that matter.
Barlow had a really cool voice that fit the darker mood of Iced Earth's music very well. I'm sad that he ended up leaving, though Timmy's not too bad. I think the upcoming double album will be great.

Element_man(II) Tim Owens in Winters' Bane > Tim Owens in Iced Earth, or Judas Priest, for that matter. I need to get more Winters Bane. I only have one song, The Silhouette, and it's top notch.

I only have one song, The Silhouette, and it's top notch. I was lucky enough to come across the original Heart of a Killer album at a used record shop, so I got all the songs, though 'The Silhouette' is probably one of the best.
