* The distant ship evidently saw the Grunny's sails and took fright, since it abruptly changed direction and sailed away over the horizon. Captain Foo did not feel like pursuing it.
Had they been closer to their destination, he might have investigated...

* The formerly good ship Grunny was sitting at anchor off the shore of Jamaica. Captain Foo felt very piratey as he surveyed the surrounding vessels with his 'glass. Argh, quite a collection of fat traders here... too bad that most of them were British, harumph. The crew watched him narrowly. If he found them a fat prize to pursue, they would share in the gold -- or the wounds. *

* A hurricane blew up and destroyed the Pirate Ship Grunny. Captain Foo end up bumming a ride on a Royal Navy ship back to London and explained his time away as a health cure in the south of France. *
