durrypoo Metal has that same power on me, getting me up even when things look totally messed up... could you reccommend me any album by helloween? Keeper of the Seven Keys is always a solid bet. HOWEVER I'm going to reccommend Rabbit Don't Come Easy, because that's guarenteed to get your head banging. That and The Dark Ride.

As for my opinion on the name... well, I just think that it's... lame. It's like the word "Hello" raped the word "Halloween," and their child was Helloween. Which, I will reiterate is still awesome, it's just the name sucks.

I think it was supposed to be Hell-oween rather than Hello-ween.

I heard bad things about The Dark Ride, but then again, I'll listen to just about anything if I listen to it first.
I really like the job that Helloween did covering the Judas Priest song "The Hellion/Electric Eye" off the Priest Tribute Album. That, the Strapping Young Lad version of Exciter, and the Mercyful Fate and Iced Earth version of The Ripper were class.

Closest to keeper of the seven keys I could find was Keeper of the seven keys the legacy... I'll listen to it as soon as Rhapsody's Dawn of Victory is over whee

My favorite Helloween album is Keeper of the Seven Keys pt. II. I really like Eagle Fly Free, I Want Out, and Keeper of the Seven Keys (one of my favorite epics). I also like Helloween's debut album The Walls of Jericho. It's a really solid effort.

For me "Time of the Oath" has always been the best Helloween album, not because of any preference for Derris's vocals over Michael Kiske. It's just songs like "Steel Tormentor" and 'Before the War" always get me goin' the most. That said i haven't heard a Helloween album I didn't like, possibley my favourite power metal band, them or Gamma Ray.

I enjoy Deris myself, and he is also my favorite (based on their cover of The Hellion/Electric Eye), but you do have to admit that Kiske indeed has one HELL of a voice.

Eagle Fly Free and Perfect Gentelmen are some of my favorites. Their bassist Markus Grosskopf is simply amazing!
