I understand that you're not saying they're like "OMGBAAAAAD". My only problem is the posting of untrue info/lack of evidence and not taking this up with any one of the 3 founders. . .

To address the rumors you've stated, I'll start off by saying that at every con the BPF is gathered at, either me or T-chan(Founder #3) are there, save any cons in Ohio, which is Ameria area. We have a short, but strict set of rules which I'll use when addressing the rumors stated:



The BPF does not go against table limit rules at all. IF we have a table, we usually talk to someone about the rules if they're not clear, and we do not bother other artist except for the occasional asking for tape if we lose our own (happened at Jacon 2003). We also do not damage other people's art as we also display our own and would never treat someone else's art with disrespect (hell, we've had our own art and property stolen multiple times). In other word the "treat others how you'd want to be treated" rule. If we find another member doing damage to art, we promptly revoke their membership.



Funny... AFO3 was when we started, and we weren't even the BPF until Sunday afternoon (and there were only 5 of us). For membership at the time (which we can't really consider membership. It was just signing up for when we later started our Yahoo! Group), all you had to do was sign up on a sheet of paper with your name and email if they were interested... and I'd know this b/c I was in charge of sign ups. That NEVER happened. So I dunno who you saw, but it wasn't us.



Also not true. After AFO3 and a little incident w/ someone hacking into our site, we made membership possible only if a) you request it from one of the founders or b) you signed up at a con after talking to the Founder(s) there. We don't pressure ppl into joining since not everyone wants to join a group about shounen ai, which is obviously OK. No harm done to us. We respect everyone, and would never force ppl into membership. Couples are welcome if they request to join though ^_^

Honestly we don't wish to fight anything, we just wanted to state our case and debunk the rumors spread because wedon't want the B.P.F. getting a bad name off of false pretenses. And I believe with regard to C-chan's asking to be removed from the list, she asked so also because all rumors have been addressed as rumors and we would hope that we are innocent until proven guilty by facts. ^_^;; Sorry for causing any trouble, though of course that wasn't our intention here.

I took you guys down from the list that I had posted, and I appologize for not asking permission to list you guys on anything.

I also should have taken it up with you guys in the first place to get things straightened out. That aspect of everything slipped my mind in a fit of stupidity.

What I can honestly say is that there are people at the cons pissing other people off, and are claiming to be the BPF.

When I was on duty at JACON I've come to the table a couple of times and had to remind them of the rules, based on the reports of others. If you don't remember me doing that, then it wasn't you guys. Simple enough. End of story.

(On a side note AFO 2002 is AFO3, AFO1 was in 2000)

We must warn the masses about the sins of Shoujo-Jojo!!! Please keep it. I'm sure people would like to know what groups are being closely watched by con security before they get involved, yanno?
