i know one of the first few songs i heard on the radio was the song about "this used to be my way home, i ... thats my house and thats my car, thats my dog in my backyard, theres the window to the room where she lays her pretty head, but whos thats man runnin' my life"
That got me started, and then the first two country ablums i bought on cassette -- Crystal Bernard, and Garth Brooks. [where has Crystal Bernard gone to?]

I'm pretty sure mine was either Hilbilly Rock by Marty Stewart, which was my dads first country song he ever heard, or X's and O's by my beloved Trisha Yearwood. I am leaning more to X's and O's. Thats still a favorite of mine, but I just learned all the words finally last year... Never could tell what one part was... sweatdrop

I can't remember who sang it, or even if that this is the real song title, because I was only 6 at the time, but I think it was daddys little girl, mama's little angel, I've loved country ever since

I've been listening to country all my life, so I don't know... but the first one I remember hearing was "My Maria" I think... I now love that song. Brooks and Dunn are really good.

My first Country song that I heard was "Fancy" by Reba and I didn't really like it until about 6-7 years ago when I decided to try out the local country station which happens to be 92.5 wxtu and I heard Sara Evans' 3 chords and the truth and when I was introduced to Trace Adkins' "Every Light" and Toby Keith's "MY List". Since then I have been a fan. I am a HUGE Sara Evans Fan.

I guess you could say I started listening to Country when I lived in Virginia, which was about 11 years ago, and I don't remember that, seeing as how I'm 12 right now, will be 13 next Friday, but I have a baby video from Virginia because I was always very enthusiastic about things, and in the background I believe it was a Mark Chesnutt song, and my mom told me that when I was all cranky and everything she would play that song, and I'd be in a better mood, so I'm guessing it was either that song or something by Garth Brooks, my dad is a Garth Brooks fanatic. lol
