16. Huski-boy.
Akira meets Luke.

Akira Maine
Under the shade of a tree, Akira sat, doodling in his make-shift diary. He'd been doodling and studying ever since he met the snake-girl, Trela.

She scared him, yes. Her confidence, her in-your-face-attitude. He deffinately wasn't used to that. After he left, he more than anything, wanted to find Lineslieth to ask him if they were in any classes together. He wanted to be prapared, make sure he didn't rub her the wrong way, again.

The marks on his page, seemed to slowly evolve into a barely noticable image of the dragon-man.

Luke Haneko
Luke made his way across the grounds, the black cat, whom he had dubed Kuro, sitting atop his head as his hands were stuffed into his pockets. He glances lazily about, making his way torwards the playset he spotted. He climbed up a small ladder into a sort of little fort and sat inside, setting Kuro by the door as a guard.

As the door was being guarded he moved about the inside of the small fort, poking about for anything interesting.

Akira Maine
The boy's ears twitched as he heard something within the playset near by. His red eyes looking up, he noticed a white-haired boy poking his head out.

Intrigued, Akira closed his book, the pen dubbing as a bookmark. He stood up, journal tucked neatly under his arm, and started making his way, his tail swaying from side to side.

Luke Haneko
Luke had finished exploring the fort, and being small and all it didn't take long.He poked his head over the side to look around, noticing a few swings and such."Neh, its okay, eh Kuro?"He glanced down at the cat still sitting at the door.

The sound of someone walking torwards the playset caught Luke's attention, his ears perking forward. He ducked back down and plopped down beside the door, out of view, and glanced down at the cat plush."Someone's coming.."

Akira Maine
Akira was growing more curious with this boy, he seemed to be playing make-believe. Play along?

He stopped as he the boy ducked down again, maybe they didn't want anyone to see him there? The wolf-boy shrugged, and stepped closer.

"Hello?"

Luke Haneko
Luke's ears twitched as he heard the boy move closer and speak."Hmmm.."He narrowed his eyes a bit and a sort of half grin came onto his face. With a growl he jumped up and pulled himself onto the wall of the fort, letting out a sort of war cry roar as he leapt at the wolf boy.
"Graaaah!"

Akira Maine
Akira blinked. A growl? What the--

He hadn't time to finish the thought, before his eyes the boy had leapt out of the 'fort' and before time had allowed him to react, he was on the ground.

"Aie!" He squeeled, hitting the back of his head on the soft sand. He growled, or, more the wolf in him growled, he simply blinked and squirmed. Tail frantically wagging, out of either playing, or shock. That wasn't clear.

"G-Get off me!" He managed.

Luke Haneko
Luke sat on the boys stomach, quirking an eyebrow at the growl. He seemed to be a canine of some sort..not really a dog, a wolf perhaps? Not like he cared.

Luke stood up and hopped backwards, eyes narrowed and a grin on his face, looking over at the cat plush still sitting at the door."Heh, didja see that Kuro, I totally got him."He let out a laugh and looked back at the boy."Who are you?"He cocked his head to the side as he ashed the question, watching the bor with mild interest.

Akira Maine
Akira managed to get to his feet, and dusted himself off, slightly. He looked at the boy, he seemed to have his features, except white. A white wolf? Or... a canine of some sort...

"My name's Akira..." He mumbled, retrieving his journal from the sand, and shaking it off. He ears twitched, and he shook his head to get the sand out.

"Who are you?" He asked in return, not so much irritation, but a mild curiosity mixed in with surprise, seemed to seep through in his voice.

Luke Haneko
Luke watched the boy, who had introduced himself as Akira, pick up the journal."Whats with the diary?"He stuffed his hands into his pockets as the boy asked who he was."The names Luke, and that,"He took a hand from his pocket and pointed back at the cat plush with a thumb,"is Kuro."His voice had a tone of boredom in it, though a hint of curiosity could be heard.

Akira Maine
Akira cocked a brow at his question. It's just a journal... His grip had tightened, without him realizing, and he looked at the boy.

"Just a journal." He replied. Luke? He nodded, and looked at the plush sitting atop the make-believe fort.

"Nice to meet you, Luke. Have you been at the academy long?"

Luke Haneko
Luke blinked."..right."He gave a shrug and moved torwards the fort, plopping down in the doorway."Nah, not really."He leaned against the side of the small fort doorway, tail flicking upwards."So..whats with the d-..journal..whats in it?"

Akira Maine
Why does he want to know? It's none of his business...

Akira shrugged, tail twitching almost nervously, "Just stuff..." He replied, moving to the edge of the sand, and sitting down. His ears twitched.

"I've been here a couple of days, I like it here," He added.

"The mess hall has really nice food, not like back at 'home'.

Luke Haneko
Luke snorted.Fine, the guy didn't wanna tell, then perhaps he'd find out himself. He set his hands on the edge of the fort floor, leaning forward a bit as Akira sat."Couple of days, eh?I dunno how long i've been here, didn't really pay attention to dates and stuff."His ears twitched as he glanced down at the journal, it was kind of getting on his nerves that he didn't know what was in it.Odd.At the boy's last comment he looked back up, nodding a bit."Yeah, foods alright."

Akira Maine
Almost sensing the boy's frustration, Akira had decided, perhaps just sitting on the book would be enough to get him disinterested.

He hadn't actually noticed the boy's lip ring, he wondered why he had it. Maybe his parents did it when he was born, like the tribes. He recalled before he was banished, for the fire. His family had a sort of tradition of altering their children when they were born.

His cousin was a rat-boy.

Luke Haneko
Luke's brow furrowed as Akira sat on the journal. How annoying, but that wasn't going to stop him from looking at it.He glanced up at the sky, trying to seem as if he had lost interest in the boy's journal. When he glanced abck down he noticed the boy staring at him, but not so much. After a few seconds he realixed it was a lip ring he had.He leaned forward again, a sort of snarl on his face as he growled,"What are you lookin at?"

Akira Maine
"Your lip ring," Akira replied, matter-of-factly. Luke is kinda mean...

"Did it hurt?"

Luke Haneko
Luke snorted and leaned back."I dunno, don't remember."
His ears twitched as he tried to think of a way to look inthe journal. There was always pushin the kid over and runnin off with it, but he kinda wanted to look in it secretly..but either way he was gonna see it.He glanced around, trying to see if he coudl get the boy distracted by something.

Akira Maine
Akira shifted on the book, his tail twitching again, he felt at a loss for conversation.

"So..." He started, biting his tongue to think of something.

Then it hit him.

"Have you met Mister Lineslieth?" A smile suddenly appeared on his face.

Luke Haneko
Luke looked over as Akira spoke, pulled away from his search for a distraction."Huh, uhhh..no.I've only met some mean old lady and a nurse..dude...Who is it?"

Akira Maine
"He's a Darakieln.. I think that's how you say it... A dragon-man. He's really nice, and has these cool wings--" He was getting excited, his tail was wagging frantically, rather enjoying itself, too.

--"And this tail, that's like, really long... and yeah." He blinked, looking over at the husky-boy, "He's cool."

His ears twitched.

Luke Haneko
Luke shrugged and leaned back a bit."Ch..just sounds like a big lizard to me."

Akira Maine
"He's not just a big lizard!" Akira snapped, taking offence.

"He's a dragon! And he's cool." His tail twitched irritably now.

Luke Haneko
Luke snorted and layed back, tail and legs hanging out of the fort's door."Whatever."

Akira Maine
Akira frowned, standing up and dusting off his shorts, then picked up his journal.

"You're mean. He's not just a lizard. He's my friend!" He pointed out, and turned to head back to his tree, to write, or doodle in his journal.

Luke Haneko
Luke's ears perked forward and he turned his head to look at the cat plush."Did he just call me mean?"Luke sat up and pushed himself onto his feet, growling at the boy."Whatever, if your friends why doncha go hang out with the stupid lizard?"

Akira Maine
Akira let out a low growl. He's calling Lineslieth stupid now?

"I will then. You BIG STUPID MEANIE! I hope Lineslieth eats you like he does other people!"

He huffed, tears in his eyes from sheer anger, and because he was upset. But it was mostly just the anger. He stomped away, further than just his tree.

And plopped himself on the ground, crying, but not sobbing. His book clutched in his arms.

Luke Haneko
"Yeah, im real scared of the lizard."Luke snorted as he watched the boy stomp off."Ch..stupif wolf."He turned and went over to one of the swings, plopping down in it as he watched akira sit a ways away."Dude, is he crying?"He started to laugh as he pushed off the ground, making the swing move.

Akira Maine
He sniffled, drops of tears landing on the leather bound book. He used his shirt to wipe them off, and suffled over to the tree a few paces next to him.

He opened the book, and started scribbling madly, whether he was writing, or drawing, it wasn't clear. But he was clearly upset.

Stupid dog. What does he know... He mustn't have many friends if he's that mean... Lineslieth isn't just a lizard... he'd not stupid either... he's a dragon and he's my friend... He'd be scared if he saw him...

Luke Haneko
Luke stood on the seat of the swing and climbed up the chain to the top bar they were attached to.He pulled himself up and sat on it, looking over the grounds for something to do.

17. Huski-boy part two.
Continued from previous post..

Akira Maine
Akira sniffled again. He wasn't going to look over, nope. Never.

His ears twitched, and before he knew it he looked over. His tail hit the ground, angrilly, and he snapped his head back to the book. Still scribbling like a madman.

Luke Haneko
Luke grinned and leaned back so he hung upsidedown on the bar, his knees bent over it to keep him from falling."Heheh."His arms hung down torwards the ground as he started to swing back and forth slightly.

[ astra ]
[ Luke and Akira both gain an extra 1% insanity, due to interactions ! ]

Akira Maine
Akira really, really, wanted to throw something at him. A rock. He's mean. He deserves it.

His tail hit the ground again, his scribbles becoming a little more furious. His ears twitched, and he bit back the urge.

For now...

Luke Haneko
Luke stopped swinging and bent back a bit so he could see behind him. That wolf boy was still there, he had thought the kid would have gone inside by now.Whatever.He pulled himself up to once again sit on the bar and turned, dropping back to hang upsidedown, but this time facing the other way."Geez, whats up with him and that journal.."He watched as Akira scribbled in the journal.

Lineslieth
Lineslieth felt a tugging in his mind. It was slight, probably signaling it was an unconscious question, but he felt...It was Akira? Silly children. He sent out a wave, and felt another student...004...ah, Luke. Mhmm.

He shrugged, and put away the little paperwork he had to finish. With a flash, he was floating down onto the top of the swingset outside, finally landing and perching on the top of it. He looked down. "Hello, Luke." he said, sounding vaguely ominous and slightly amused.

Akira Maine
Akira growled. He could tell the dog-boy was watching him. He was waiting for him to leave his journal. Hah! Sneak. He's never gonna read it. Ever.

He closed the book, having just ruined a page with nothing but circles coloured so dark, the ink almost ran through the page. He turned his head ever-so-slightly.

Lineslieth!? His ears, immediately perked up, and his tail wagged the happiest wag it could muster, considering akira himself was still mad.

Luke Haneko
Luke glanced up when he heard his name to see a dragon dude standing on the swingset."What?"His brow furrowed a bit as he stared up at the stranger, not at all curious as to where this guy came from.

Lineslieth
Lineslieth laughed, his numerous sharp teeth showing, as well as his forked tongue. "I am simply investigating the situation, little one. I was called by the other child," at this, Lineslieth nodded his head towards Akira. "You may know me by name, if he has brought me up. I am Lineslieth."

Akira Maine
Akira couldn't help it. He stood up- journal secure in hand- and jogged on over.

"Hi Lines!" He smiled up at the dragon-man. Though, once he looked back at Luke, his eyes narrowed, and her forwned. Almost growling.

Luke Haneko
Luke continued to hand upsidedown as the dragon guy spoke. This appeared to be the guy Akira had spoke of, but Luke didn't really care."So?"

He looked back down as he heard Akira say hi to Lines, eyes narrowing and mouth pulling back in a snarl.

Lineslieth
Lineslieth still was grinning, oh the ambitions of boys...

"Hello, little lupus. I'm guessing you've not made friends very well?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at and casting a quick glance to Luke. Lineslieth softly glided down to the ground, his wings slightly flapping against wind. He let a clawed hand ruffle Akira's hair, before he took a seat on a swing next to Luke.

"And here I thought you'd be more misagreeable with Clerise when you met her, as she is a cat, but a canis and a lupus fighting..."

Akira Maine
Akira blushed a little, his ears twitching as per usual from the hair ruffling. He watched Lines. He wanted to tell him everything, that all he did was try to explain that Lines wasn't just a mere lizard. That he was a dragon!

Legendary creature of myth and... coolness. He kept quiet though, until he mentioned the fighting.

"We weren't really fighting, just... well... He called you a stupid lizard and I was telling him not to call you that and then it all just blew up!" He said, rather rushed.

"I was trying to tell him that you're not a stupid lizard... that you're a dragon and you're smart, and cool and..." He paused.

"That you were my friend." He seemed to pout. Though his journal remained in a tight grip. Ears starting to droop.

Luke Haneko
Luke grabbed the swing's chains and slid off the bar, flipping down and setting his feet on the swing."Huh?"He plopped down onto the swing's seat, glancing over at Akira as he spoke."Course we weren't fighting, cause you ran off cryin."He snorted.

Lineslieth
Lineslieth snorted at Luke's comment. "One day, we will give you a spine, Akira." His tail unwound from around his waist, and pat his shoulder before returning.

He smirked, and looked down at the husky. "Mmm. so I'm a stupid lizard, am I?" he flexed his wings, and looked thoughtful.

"I can assure you that I am well learned in most subjects, especially history, since I've lived a good part of it. But if that is not convincing, what could I do to persuade you that I am not a...lizard, and a darakieln, instead?"

Akira Maine
"Didn't run off crying..." He mumbled, his ears now planted on his head.

He stood silent, watching Lineslieth, admiring his confidence. Although, he had a feeling this boy would torment him for having accidently called on Lines. Somehow he knew it.

He already dreaded when that time would come.

Luke Haneko
"Oh wow, yeah, you sure are smart."Luke rolled his eyes, swinging his legs under him.At Line's question he looked up, ears twitching in thought."I dunno.."He remembered something Akira had said, about this Lines guy eating him and he smiled."Eat Akira."

Lineslieth
Lineslieth's laughter roared in the still air. "Devour Akira? Why, neither of you together would even be a mouthful! Plus, eating students is against my policy." Lineslieth shrugged though. "Hm. What's a dragonesque trait I could flash, besides flying. Everyone and their darling sister can fly these days..."

He pushed his feet against the gravel, shoving off at a rapid pace. "I could breathe fire for you, if you please. I could always bring another human here, if I asked RA. Then I could eat him for you." Lineslieth's tongue flickered out of his mouth. "The chases are always best. Makes the meat more tender," he finished airily.

Akira Maine
Eat me!? If it was possible, Akira had gone pailer. However, his state of shock at the dog's remark passed, along with his urge to just... lunge for him.

His tail twitched irritably, and her walked to the edge of the playground, sitting down, simply watching Lines.

Luke Haneko
Luke's ears perked forward and his tail flicked upwards."You's seriously eat someone?"A large grin spread over his face and he hopped out of the swing."Do it!"

Lineslieth
Lineslieth looked over at Akira, vaguely concerned but doing well hiding it. He gave a smirk and a wink, and then ceased speaking, to contact RA. Within a few moments, a shivering boy was there, in ratty white clothes looking almost similar to luke, only his eyes were green and his hair far darker gray, and was simply...human.

Lineslieth smiled softly to himself, and whispered, "Run."

As the boy did, he leapt, powerful back legs propelling him towards the boy.

Akira Maine
Akira sat and watched, it interested him. But at the same time... death would come of this.

He seemed so farmilliar with that concept. Too farmilliar. Of course, he wasn't numb to it, it affected him, if only a little. He did his best to hide his thoughts, and simply watched.

Luke Haneko
Luke watched as the boy started to run, wondering how long it would take for Lines to catch him.He sat back down in the swing and watched intently as Lines went after the human.

Lineslieth
With a spray of blood, though Lines' body blocked most of it, Lines ravaged the teen, and pulled back...the body lay open, carcass twitching a little. Lineslieth daintily wiped his mouth with a wing, and had the body sent away.

He grinned, teeth dripping with red. He peered down, and poked Luke's forehead. "Tasty." And with that, he walked over to Akira, and leaned down and whispered a few words in his ear. Lineslieth again mussed his hair, and put a claw under Akira's chin, bringing his face level to his and smirked widely. "You and I will be training soon. Nonlethal though, do not fear."

Lineslieth grinned down at both kids, soaring high in the air. "Goodbye canis and lupus. Do send me a ping tomorrow, Akira, narish nardur izub."

[ narish nardur izub is 'my little ally,' weakness/frailty is implied. ]

Akira Maine
Akira watched on, the butchery and savagery. He felt slightly ill, but it passed.

He watched on as Lines approached him, whispering into his ear. He smirked, and let out a giggle. Nodding happilly as he mentioned training.

"Okie dokie!" He said, his tail wagging, again happilly.

He waved, as Lines soared. "Bye-bye Lines!"

He sighed, happilly. Forgetting about Luke for a moment.

Luke Haneko
Luke watched as Lines at the kid, ears twitching."Heh, stupid kid."He laughed to himself.

He frowned a bit as his forehead was poked, rubbing the spot as lines went over to Akira. He raised a hand as Lines soared into the air."Bye."

He grabbed the chains of the swing, swinging his feet under him so it started to move."Heheh..cool."

Akira Maine
Akira's ear twitched, he turned to Luke. Eyes narrow, he turned away and started back to his tree, sitting down and opening the journal again.

Luke Haneko
Luke ignored Akira and got out of the swing, walking back to the fort's door.He ducked inside and sat, leaning against one of the walls.

Akira Maine
Akira didn't seem to be paying much attention to Luke anymore. He seemed to be writing something.

A poem.

Oh, and some not-so-nice words about the huski-boy.

Luke Haneko
Luke, having lost interest in the fort, climbed out, dragging the cat plush behind him.The kid bein eaten had already left his mind so he was once again bored. He started walking across the grounds, placing the plush back on his head and stuffing his hands into his pockets.

Akira Maine
"Imploding intestines rancid with... no..." Akira mumbled, scribbling out. He grew frustrated with the poem, and decided once again to doodle.

More dragon wings across his page, more of the seemingly endless tail.

Luke Haneko
Luke, finding nothing more of interest outside, headed torwards the door.He shot a glance back at Akira before heading inside to wander around the halls and rooms.

18. Birdy-girl.
Akira meets Astrid.

Risth
[New RP]
Astrid slipped out of her room, Hod around her arm and resting on her shoulder. Periodcally he "stood" up, to get a better look around. He was just as interested as she was.

Walking through the halls, her head turned upwards to get the best view of the walls and the rooms as she moved, she took it all in. The halls were long; she was sure she was seeing the library once she came out of the line of what must be other dorms.

She explored extensively, peeking into rooms and out windows. Finally mulling around near the elevator, she was able to find her way outside. Stepping out the door, the gravel there crunching under her shoes, she looked out over the grounds.

Hod's tongue flicked in and out as she walked in the outside air. So this was it; the school grounds. This was where she would live, now.

But, don't forget about Trela, and Aerin. I mean, when would I get to see them at home?

She walked on a ways before sitting down on the ground, leaning against the wall of the school. Breathing deeply, she closed her eyes, tilting her head back. Hod slithered longer up her arm and shoulder, and she could feel him hovering in front of her face, looking around.

She let him; after all, he needed to get to know this place, too. This new place, that would become...her "second" home...

Akira Maine
Akira had been sketching in his book again, the final touches to a drawing he had started, the day he arrived. Now it was taking more form, more shape. It had grey, red and orange, black and red.

He smiled to himself, proud of his work. Advanced for a child, but this place was probably full of children who were advanced beyond their years. That's why this place was the way it was, right?

He leaned back, resting his head on the trunk of the tree, tail flicking happilly as he thought on to distant memories, humming quietly, but happilly.

Risth
Astrid was nearly dozing, truly relaxed. Her thoughts whirled with Trela, and what they had talked about. With memories of home. And Hod, tickling her cheek with his tongue. She went to move him, opening her eyes, she caught sight of someone else leaning against a tree not too far off. Not allowing herself a second thought, she stood up from where she was sitting, walking towards them.

Her sharp eyes were able to identify a boy, and she thought he looked human, at least. Approaching him, she could see he was doing something, drawing, she guessed. Hod went to get a better view of him, straightening himself. Astrid gave him a smile before glancing back to the boy. She walked a bit father...and there, she stopped next to him, looking down at him without a word.

Akira Maine
Akira was about to drift off, when his sensetive wolvish ears picked up on footsteps. He lifted his head from the tree, and opened his eyes, they drifted to his right, and he noticed a girl, just starring at him.

"AIE!" He yelped, jumping. His heart just leapt into his throat.

He panted, ears flat on his head, "You scarred me..." He mumbled.

Risth
Astrid blinked, a smile spreading across her face. Somehow, she was amused at the boy's reaction. "Sorry," she said, not looking like she meant it completely. Sitting down on the ground next to him, she asked, "Mind if I sit here?" Plainly the point was moot, since she was already sitting down.

She glanced at his sketchbook, then back at him. Noticing his ears with his otherwise human face, she decided to comment on them. "Are you an altered-human, too?" Without waiting very long for answer, she supplied information he was sure to find helpful : "I just got here, to the school, I mean." She paused to allow Hod a bit of a head pet. He flicked his tongue at her, looking at the boy, which she did then, too.

A boy with dog ears? And a distinctive dog tail, too. At least it looked like a dog tail...

Akira Maine
Akira sighed, leaning back onto the tree, he didn't need to say he didn't mind her sitting; she was already sitting.

He listened to her, and waited for her to stop, then thought a moment.

"I'm an Altered-human, yes. I have a black wolf intermingled with my DNA." He flicked his ears and tail, he didn't show his elongated canines, however. To him it seemed over the top.

"I just got here a few days ago, myself. I'm waiting for my roommate to arrive... In the mean time I'm meeting people, to get to know the general population of the place." He rambled, looking at his sketch. It was missing something, he cocked his head to the side.

"My name's Akira. Akira Maine, people at the Shelter used to call me Kira, though. And Mister Lineslieth calls me Lupus." He smiled at the notion.

Risth
Astrid was a bit surprised about how talkative Akira was, based on how he had reacted when he first saw her.

So...he's a wolf, not really a dog. Astrid smiled at the clarification. She thought she would do the same, if that was what she was altered with a wolf. For a reason she couldn't put her finger on, the fact he was a wolf was something she liked.

"I just met my roommate today. Oh, and my name's Astrid." The name of 'Lineslieth' put up a flag in her head, but only because she had no idea who it was. The fact that Akira had called him "Mr." made her suppose he was a teacher or, at least, worked at the school. She hadn't met him yet...but he seemed to be a fan of "pet" names like Aerin was. He was calling Akira "Lupus," anyway...

THAT'S not ironic, she thought, although she still thought it was funny, too.

"Who's Lineslieth?" she asked interestedly. At any rate, she wanted to figure out what list he'd be on...ally, or enemy?

Akira Maine
"He's a Darakieln; a dragon. He was altered to look more human... He's cool. He's older than you and me put together! And smart, and he speaks in his native tongue from time to time. I'm looking for a dictionary of sorts so that I might gain a better understanding of the race," Astrid had done it.

She'd gotten him talking about Lines again. He opened his journal to the page he was on, and looked at the drawing.

"He's really nice... And he eats people. I saw him eat a teenager yestarday. This boy, Luke. Was being really mean, and I guess I accidently called him with my feed, so he ate a person... I can't remember why... But anyway... This is what he looks like."

Astrid had to be the only person he showed that page to, since he started that journal. The page was blank, save for seom writing on top, and a large drawing of the dragon-man underieth.

User Image

Risth
The flood from information from Akira caught Astrid by surprise. Even more interesting, though, was what he was saying. And then, seeing the picture -- Astrid raised an eyebrow looking at it.

"He ate someone?" she asked, clearly shocked by the thought of a staff member randomly devouring a teenage boy. And yet... Wait, was that a student he ate? If it was...holy crap. She thought of Trela immediately, on the subject of eating people...except she was a Nahzeetial, and it wasn't like she'd brought human bits in a Tupperware to school in case she got hungry. Sounded like this Linelieth person had imported a kid just for the sole sake of eating him. Something about that made him a little different from Trela.

She studied the picture again. The drawing definitely looked a bit creepy -- not because of Akira's drawing style, but the subject itself. And he sounded powerful. Was he a teacher? Somehow she felt a little uneasy about all that Akira had to say about him; he sounded like he could probably flatten her just by turning his eyes on her.

Her determination was rebellious. No one, no matter how strong they were, could get out of a well-laid trick. Well, it had worked in the past, anyway. But with this person...wouldn't it be better that he were an ally? Especially if he ATE people?

Akira seemed fairly innocent. Astrid wasn't sure if 'Lineslieth' would take a liking to her or not. She wasn't so sure he would.

"I've never seen a real dragon before," she mused. Hod's tongue tickled her ear. "...I wonder what he's like..."

Akira Maine
Akira nodded, he didn't seem too phased by the notion. It probably had something to do with his insanity points incereasing.

"When I see him he's calm, like... he doesn't seem worried about much... But he did seem a bit mad when I asked him he ate people... Er, that was before he ate the boy..." He paused, taking the time to take his journal back, and carefully rest it on his lap.

He stared off into nothing, for a moment, and smiled, "He's one of the only people that was nice to me fron the start..."

Astrid Cronhielm
Astrid raised an eyebrow again, still thinking the fact that someone was running around randomly eating kids was something to take note of. Akira, on the other hand, didn't seem to think so. Maybe he had seen a lot of kids get eaten where he had come from. Yeah, like where exactly would have come from? She snickered a bit mentally at her own thought.

He had said he'd come from a shelter, though. Astrid didn't hesitate a moment once she remembered that : "Did they eat kids a lot at the shelter you came from?" she asked casually, looking at him as if this was the most innocent, normal question in the world. She even proceeded to examine her nails and pick out some dirt from them, although she barely had any nails to pick at.

Hod's tongue flickered. If a snake could look amused, Astrid was sure he would right about now. She'd get back to Lineslieth all in good time. As well as bring up Aerin, since it only felt right to swap stories about who had been the first nice person you met in this place.

Evan Yorke
Akira blinked, dumbfounded by her question. The shelter? How would I know... I was barely looking over the sketchpad, let alone checking if they ate the kids... although... that would explain why a few disappeared every now and again...

He thought for a moment, unsure whether to actually say what he thought, or to humour the girl and say that, yes, they deffinately did eat the kids, especially the ones that behaved badly. He half snickered at his own thoughts.

"I don't recall them eating kids... but I do recall some of the batty and mean kids disappearing, and one of the men getting substantially fatter each time."

He couldn't believe he just said that. He was in a sense proud of himself; he pulled a scare tactic.

Astrid was not very amused. She wasn't at all intimidated by Akira's insight into his fellow shelter-mates disappearing. "I suppose that's why seeing this guy devour some helpless boy was fairly normal." If this kid was picking out role models who were complete nutters, he might need to re-evalute his choices soon enough. "What makes you think that this guy won't eat you?" Astrid asked, smirking a bit. That was always the first question to consider when finding out a peer had human on their menu. Trela wasn't like this Linelieth person so far at least.

Evan Yorke
Akira looked at the girl, it did strike his curiosity. True he thought Lineslieth wouldn't eat him, he seemed to like the boy, but what if...?

"If he was going to, I suppose he would have already. I know there'd be nothing from stopping him, from the way he did it so easilly... I guess he doesn't want to eat something he considers a friend," He seemed to be rambling.

"That's assuming he considers me a friend. And anyway, I think he did it as a way of proving to Luke that he is what he is." He shrugged. True the girl's question made him think, but he wasn't worried about it, not too much anyway.

"You seem nice, Astrid. Well, a lot nicer than Luke anyway..."

Risth
She was surprised to be described as 'nice.' This had never occured to her; often she was being called quite the opposite. At the very least the compliment ( she supposed that was what it was ) made her think. And she was happy to know Akira was thinking too, as far as what she had said about Linelieth.

"I don't know this Lineslieth guy, and I don't know 'Luke' either," Astrid said, laying it out straight on the table, as it were. "But from my experience people can't be trusted. I mean he ate a kid in front of you. I think you should watch your back with him." Normally she didn't give out advice, because she liked watching people figure things out for themselves. Especially when she didn't like them; then it was gratifying to see them realize they'd screwed up. She felt that this little wolf-kid might appreciate it, though. And she felt like she should at least say something in return for the compliment.

She gave him a little sideways grin. "And keep drawing. You're good at it." She gave him a hearty pat on the shoulder and stood up, glancing at Hod for a moment. "Oh, and this is Hod, my snake, just so you know." Slipping her hands into her pockets, she looked around the grounds again. "I think I'm going to go explore some more. I'll probably see you again. Hopefully Lineslieth won't have eaten ya," she said, grinning, in a good-natured way. Unfortunately she actually meant, and realized she didn't really want the wolf-boy to get eaten. He was good conversation when bored, anyway.

"I'll catch ya around," she said, and with a salute of her fingers, she turned and began to head back to the school, Hod peeking out of her shoulder. She gave Akira another quick wave as she headed back, before finally turning her back and not looking back. So, a wolf-boy and a Nahzeetial. And a dragon staff member that ate children. Not to mention a Aerin, a cross-dressing member of the staff, and some unknown Luke kid.

"...Interesting," she said under her breath, smirking. And it was probably only going to get moreso from here on out.

Evan Yorke
Akira smiled, waving back at Astrid. She had left before he could reply, so he shrugged, and sighed happilly.

That made two people he thought were nice, one that made him nervous, and one that he'd rather hit than talk to again. The good seemed to outweigh the bad so far.

He stood and closed his journal, making his way back to his dorm room...

Maybe his roommate was there now?

19. Bees, a boy, and lots of sugar.
Akira meets Hiro.

Akira Maine
It was a long walk for a child, but Akira wasn't that tired from the excersice. He stood at the door, and let his feed do the rest. When it opened he walked in, and stopped a few feet short of his bed.

His tail started wagging, he had a good idea as to why. His room mate arrived!

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro heard the door open. He was looking in the new cabinets, floating a little higher than the ground. He flipped backwards to get a view of his visitor. His hair dropped down a little and covered his eyes. He waved with one hand and pulled his hair away with the other. The same smile he had had before the sugar was on his face.

"Hello!"

Akira Maine
Ears twitching, he turned around, he smiled again, "Hello!" He stepped over, his journal landing on the bed with a bounce.

"You must be my room mate! I'm Akira!" The boy's enthusiasm was evident, he returned the wave.

Hiro Tanaka
"I'm Hiro!"

He smiled and pulled his arm back down. When he tried to move the other one, his hair just flopped back onto his face. So he just left it on his face. By now, his blood was rushing to his head. But it was fun being upside-down. Even when it was facing the wrong way, his smile was still beaming brightly.

"That's so cool! You're all like a wolf and stuff!"

Akira Maine
Akira giggled, and nodded, tail and ears flicking. He watched as he buzzed in the air, and turned his head slightly.

"And you're all like a bee! Is it fun being able to fly?"

Hiro Tanaka
"Oh it's great! I'm all like: Woosh! and Yay! and it's so great tobeabletogowhereverIwant! And yeah..."

He let out a big sigh. He'd used too much energy, but it felt great. He dropped down onto his own bed and rolled over a few times before turning back to Akia.

Akira Maine
Akira giggled at the boy, he was so full of energy and happiness. He himself went back to his side of the room and jumped onto his bed. It was already as he wanted it, bouncy, comfy, and large.

His tail flicked and he kept watching the boy, "So you just got here? I've been here for almost a week, I think," he thought a moment. That sounded about right.

"Who brought you here?"

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro pushed up on the bed. He came down and bounced once, then there was a succession of smaller bounces until he finally came back down. He then pushed off again, and continued doing it. Once in a while, he'd use his wings to boost him higher. He laughed when he was at the top of the highest jump.

"Avenine did! And he gave me cookies!"

Akira Maine
Akira giggled at the boy, and layed back. His mind had drifted to Lineslieth, as it usually did.

"I haven't really met avenine. I've heard him, though. He thinks I'm malnourished.. or something..."

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro laughed at the thought. Akira didn't seem malnourished to him, but who knew what Avenine thought about people's eating habits. He had given him candy without thinking about his reaction. For that reason, he really liked the cook.

"Who brought ya here?"

Akira Maine
"Lineslieth picked me up from the orphanage, and he brought me here." He smiled, thinking back.

"I guess you haven't met him yet, but you will... He's nice," he added.

Hiro Tanaka
"His name sounds cool!"

Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. He'd gone back to the bouncing, and he didn't look like he'd stop anytime soon. A little energy had clung to him, and this was his way of getting rid of it. The other method would be flying around until he found something that captivated his interest for more than three seconds.

Akira Maine
Akira watched the boy. He had so much energy. Akira was getting tired just watching him bounce around.

"So you're a bee... does all of your energy come from the honey? Or sugar? Or what?"

Hiro Tanaka
"Both!"

Hiro laughed again. It was a really happy laugh, one that made most people want to smile with him and laugh. Though some thought it was just creepy.

Akira Maine
Akira giggled at the boy again, wondering how long it would take for his energy to burn out.

"So, how old are ya, Hiro?"

Hiro Tanaka
"I'm..."

He had to count in his head. He used his fingers as well, though he didn't look down at them. He couldn't really remember what age he was. Or even when his birthday was last year. Yuki had picked a day, though.

"Ah! I'm nine!"

Akira Maine
"Cool!"

Akira giggled as Hiro counted, his tail flicked, and his ears bobbed a few times.

"I'm nine and a half."

Hiro Tanaka
"So that means you only have a half left before you're in the double-digits!"

For some reason, that was exciting. He'd never thought about how close he was to being ten. Actually, he may have been older or younger than that. He only said the age he thought he was, after all.

Akira Maine
"Uh, yeah. I guess I am." Akira smiled, double digits meant being older, being older meant growing up. But at the same time, that meant not being him anymore.

He had just made himself think, and he showed it.

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro thought a little about growing up, too. Though not much. The thought crossed his mind, though he really couldn't think of himself as older than he was at the moment.

"How do you like it here?~"

Akira Maine
"It's not too bad. The food's nice, classes haven't started yet, so I've been using my time to look around, and stuff."

He thought, a moment.

"There's only one person so far that I don't like too much, Luke... He's mean."

Hiro Tanaka
"I haven't met him yet. I've only met you and Avenine so far~ Do you know how many people are here?"

Of course, the thought that he was number 010 didn't occur to him at all. Maybe others had come and left already, and maybe some hadn't even come at all yet. Either way, it'd be nice to know how many other students there were.

Akira Maine
"Uh..."

He thought a moment.

"I dunno..." He blinked. Tail twitching, "I guess not that many, since classes haven't started."

Hiro Tanaka
"We'll just have to find out sometime then!"

He bounced again. He began thinking about all the other students. If he and Akira both were altered, then other kids might be, too. And some might be even more special!~

Akira Maine
"I know there's a snake-girl here..." He mentioned, and sat up. He picked up his journal and put it under his pillow.

"I can't remember what they're called, though... Nahsomethings..."

Hiro Tanaka
"Woah! A snake-person! I want to meet her soon~"

He stood up on his bed, and bounced from the position for a while. On his last jump, he flew to the ceiling and stretched in the air so he landed on his stomach when he fell.

Akira Maine
Akira watched Hiro, and stood up.

"Hey, wanna go grab some more food?"

Hiro Tanaka
"Sure!"

He stood up and jumped off his bed. When he landed, he just went back up in the air again.

Akira Maine
Akira smiled and stood up, walking to their door and putting his code in. The door hissed open, and he went out, waiting for Hiro.

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro flew towards the open door. He waited until it was about to close before flying through and following Akira.

"Let's go!"

20. To the Mess Hall!
Continues from last post.

Akira Maine
[New RP]

Akira jogged to the mess hall, looking inside, he found his seat and grinned. Crawling up onto it and sitting, his tail flicking happilly.

He waved for Hiro to join him. "Did Avenine explain how to get food?"

Hiro Tanaka
"Nope! He just made it come!"

Even if he had told Hiro how to get food, the sugar had pretty much erased the last shred of consciousness the he had. He was a big blank at the moment. He remembered how to get in the Gates and how to open the door, but that was because he had it in his mind. And he just saw Akira do it.

Akira Maine
Akira giggled again, "Lineslieth said it was easy, all you have to do is think of what you want, and send it out. And one of those food bringer thingies will bring out your food! It's really neat!"

He grinned, and thought up his order. The usual, fries drenched in ketchup, and a cheese burger.

Not a moment later it was infront of him, and he started feasting.

Hiro Tanaka
"And I keep on thinking this place couldn't get better, and it keeps proving me wrong!"

Hiro did what Akira said, hoping that it would work like it did with his room mate. He thought about what he wanted. Almost instantly, a pile of brownies was there. No nuts.

Sooner or later they'd probably have to restrain what he could order.

Akira Maine
Akira smiled up at the younger boy. Nodding, almost proudly. He had the feeling they would grow close, like family.

Family... Akira missed his family, he missed his mother.

He frowned slightly.

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro was busy grabbing each brownie and almost stuffing it into his mouth. He managed to chew them enough to swallow without choking. They were really good. Better than most of the other ones that he had tasted in his life. With loads of sugar. His head turned quickly enough to see Akira's frown.

"Hey are you okay? If you're sad, you should eat one of the brownies! They're really good and it cheers most people up!"

He'd already lost control of the tone of his voice.

Evan Yorke
Akira looked at Hiro, a "hm?" sound escaped, he shrugged and poked his fries.

"Just thinking about my mother. I miss her." Another sigh.

Hiro Tanaka
"Yeah, I miss Yuki too, but we'll see them again!"

He nodded in an ecstatic manner. They were fast motions of his head. His wings kept to the beat, and began flapping themselves. He had to hold on to his chair to keep from coming off the floor.

"I mean, it's only school, right?"

Evan Yorke
"No... This is my home now." He ate a fry.

"My mom died when I was seven, it was my fault, really. We were baking cookies and my tail knocked over the oil, the oven caught on fire. Mother died to get me out of the house..." His tail twitched.

"Father blamed me and sent me away. Went to an orphanage, and now I'm here. This is home."

Hiro Tanaka
"Oh."

He calmed down a little, though his leg was still twitching a lot. The beating of his wings slowed until it was just a small buzz. He slurped a little on a carton of milk that had a straw coming out of it. After a few moments, he smiled a little, though it was only a hint of a smile.

"It's not really your fault, you know. You didn't do it on purpose. She just did what mothers do. They protect their children. She loved you. That's why she saved you."

Evan Yorke
"Yeah," his voice sounded meek. He felt bad now, Hiro was happy and buzzing, and Akira more or less, killed the mood.

"Just miss her sometimes, yaknow?" He chuckled, "This one time, she dressed me up like a girl, cause my sister and I look the same... I mean, we're twins, and we were 'sposed to be identical, but yaknow. She came out a girl and me a boy... anyway... She got us mixed up," He started giggling.

"I wore a pink dress out to the markets, and my sister my clothes. We both played along and pretended to be the other, and waited to see how long mother would take to notice."

He smiled, and took a bite from his burger.

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro laughed at the story. He'd never heard of someone accidently mixing up their own children before. But the thought of Akira in a dress was really funny for some reason. He couldn't really tell why, though. When he finally stopped laughing, he ate another brownie.

"I don't have any memories like that."

Evan Yorke
"Oh?" There was a brief silence, while Akira took another bite from his burger, "What kinda memories do you have?"

Hiro Tanaka
"None."

He took a large sip of milk, emptying its contents with a large slurp. It was really good for washing down brownies. His leg was twitching again, faster and faster as time progressed.

"Not about my parents, anyway."

Evan Yorke
"What about Yuki? Who's that?" Another bite, the burger was gone. He started work on the rest of his fries, after taking a large drink of the soda next to them.

Hiro Tanaka
"Ah! Yuki's like my dad!"

With nothing left for him to do, he flew in the air. He went slowly enough so that he could hear what Akira was saying, but quickly enough to stay up. He had to stay far enough away so he didn't disturb his food, though.

Evan Yorke
"Oh? What's he like?" Akira was curious, the boy wasn't like him. He didn't seem so easy to speak about the past. He was sure the boy had a good life, though.

Maybe it was just all the sugar.

Hiro Tanaka
"Yuki's the best! He's like really nice, and he lets me stay with him and stuff! But he's really bossy, and won't let me have candy unless I'm good! I can't imagine why!"

He began flying around the Mess Hall, happily whistling to himself. He had a lot of energy thanks to the two doses of sugar he'd had.

Evan Yorke
Akira giggled once again, watching the bee-boy fly around. He could see why Yuki never let him have candy. It made him hyper and there never seemed to be an end to it.

"So, why'd you wanna be a bee?"

Hiro Tanaka
"It just seemed like what I wanted to be! I've got antennae and everything! It's fun!"

He flew closer to Akira and leaned in, as if wanting to tell him a secret. He whispered the first part of the sentence, then moved back and sad the last part.

"Plus I can FLY!"

Evan Yorke
Akira's ears perked up, thinking Hiro was about to tell him a secret, then he winced as Hiro practically screamed out the last part. He smiled though, and kept watching him. His tail was wagging wildly.

"It looks fun! Maybe I should request a set of wings when I get bigger!" He sat back, and thought about it a moment.

"Maybe not... I can tell I'd fly into a wall." He giggled.

Hiro Tanaka
"That'd be really cool! A wolf with wings flying around!"

He laughed again, and did a few flips in mid-air. It was easy, considering all the practice he'd had with flying. He'd had the wings for a few years now, so he was pretty good.

"I hit walls sometimes!"

Evan Yorke
Akira giggled again, border-line laughed, "A flying wolf! Heehee! That would be funny!"

He scratched his belly, and his ears flicked, he loved it when his stomach was scratched.

Hiro Tanaka
"You could fly all over the place and howl at people through the windows!"

He flew around some more. He went from the top of the ceiling down to the floor and back up again. He was having loads of fun flying around. He always did, and he always would.

Evan Yorke
Akira had finished his fries, and his drink. Though he was still a little hungry, so he ordered another burger.

When it arrived, he nibbled on it, watching Hiro. Always watching; to let him know if he was about to fly into a window or something.

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro did everything that he possibly could in the air. He bounced of windows, walls, anything that wouldn't break when he pushed off. The result was a small yellow-and-black blur zooming all around, bouncing much like a pinball.

Evan Yorke
Akira giggled again, and yawned, his tail flicked sleepilly, and he stood up.

"Hey Hiro, I think I'm gunna go take a nap, I'm kinda sleepy."

Hiro Tanaka
"Oh, all right! I'm going to be flying around and exploring a little! I'll be back later~"

He buzzed around some more. He yawned when Akira did, though he wasn't tired at all.

Evan Yorke
Akira nodded, and yawned again.

"Alrighty, I'll see you when you get back, then! Bye-bye Hiro!" He waved, and started on his course.

21. Bathroom Brawl.
Akira and Luke fight.

Evan Yorke
Akira stopped at the bathroom, to take care of nature's course. There was a flush, and he stepped out, yawning and stretching. He stepped up to the sinks and started washing his hands. Humming.

Mia Sharra
Luke pushed the bathroom door open and stepped in, letting the door swing shut behind him.He turned at the sound of running water and noticed Akira washing his hands."What are you doing in here, the girls bathroom is down the hall."He smirked, ears perking forward.

Evan Yorke
Akira looked in the mirror, seeing Luke. He heard his insult and glared at him, via the mirror. His tail twitched irritably.

"Insulting me now?" He flicked his clawed fingers and turned the tap off, wiping them on his jumper.

"How original."

Mia Sharra
Luke snorted and tilted his head slightly to the side."Why don't you just shut up."

Akira Maine
Akira cocked a brow, "And here I was thinking you'd have a wittier come back," He snorted back, as if immitating Luke.

"You started it, don't tell me to shut up if you can't follow through," His tail twitched and he started walking passed.

"Idiot."

Luke Haneko
Luke's ears flicked backwards and he growled at Akira."Don't you walk away!"She spun, swinging a fist at the back of Akira's head.

Akira Maine
Akira felt a blunt pain, and staggered forward. He winced, and let out a grunt, "Ow.." He rubbed the back of his head.

"......." He turned around, ears flat, his tail between his legs. The wolf in him was ready to fight, and it was obvious that was what Luke wanted.

"STUPID DOG!!" He yelled, and lunged for the Husky-boy.

Luke Haneko
Luke gave a grin as the punch connected. He bent forward a bit as Akira turned around, hands balled into fists and raised at his sides."C'mon ya mangy wolf!"He took a cuople steps back as Akira lunged, but with a smirk he kicke doff the ground, leaping back at Akira.

Akira Maine
Akira connected with Luke, growling as instincts to fight started kicking in, Akira wasn't too sure why they were there, but he wasn't about to question it right at that moment.

He had to prove once and for all that he wasn't weak, or just a mangy wolf.

He did the only thing he could think of, given his position. He would probably regret it later, but he bit Luke's shoulder, as hard as he could.

Luke Haneko
Luke connected with Akira, snarling like a mad dog.He wasn't about to let this wolf beat him.He raied a fist, about to take a swing at Akira's nose, when a sharp pain shot through his arm and some of hus upper back."He let out a snarling yelp and swung his arm down at Akira's head, trying to knock him off.

Akira Maine
Akira let go, trying to duck the swing, but it connected, his head jerked to the side and he let out a deep, yet loud growl. He could taste blood in his mouth, his canines must have punctured the boy's skin.

The fight was deffinately on now, and Akira would be damned if this mere canine would beat him. He balled up his fist, and swung it hard.

Akira Maine
Akira yelped as he felt the wind literally kicked out of him. He fell to his knees, and gasped for air.

"I'm not..." He looked up at Luke, fire in his eyes, hatred spilling out in the form of tears.

"A dirty WOLF!" He yelled, getting up and diving for the boy, again. His hands wanting to just choke the life out of him.

Luke Haneko
Luke pulled himself back a bit and stood up, putting a hand to his shoulder."Couldna fooled me, wolf."He clumsily side-stepped Akira, though tripepd over his iwn feet.He hit the bathroom floor with a thwap, a look of pain showing on his face for a moment.

Akira Maine
Akira growled, he pushed up against the wall, almost hitting his own head. He turned and noticed Luke on the ground. His moment was at hand.

Kill him! KILL HIM!

He dove, and sat on the boy's stomach. His hands wrapped around his neck and he started squeezing.

"You b*****d of a dog! DIE!"

Luke Haneko
Luke snarled as Akira wrapped his hands around his neck and squeezed. His hands shot up and grabbed Akira's wrists, trying to pull the wolf's hands from his neck."S-stupid..w--wolf!"He brought his knee up quickly to try and hit the wolf in the back in hopes this might cause the boy to lessen his grip.

Akira Maine
Akira rocked forward, feeling Luke try to get out his grip. He snarled, canines bared, his grip only tightened.

Choke the life from him... do it! Kill him!

"APPOLOGISE!"

Luke Haneko
Luke coughed, trying harder to pull Akira's hands from his through, but he seemed to be losing strength. He glared at Akira' his eyes wide with anger."N--no!"He managed to choke out an answer, between bared teeth.

22. Bathroom Brawl part two.
Continued from last post.

RA
[ in room 0308 ]

RA distractedly flipped through the feeds of each child. Clerise- awake. Cerceris- wall climbing...Victoria and Anika were reading, Trela was sleeping, and-

ooh. Interesting.

Akira and Luke were fighting. Well, Akira was fighting. Luke was going sort of limp...

oh. Throats around the neck.

It watched leisurely, wondering if Luke was going to die. RA bitterly added to itself that everyone was going to die if Clerise ended up being CleRA.

It watched Akira strangulate Luke, or attempt to, and let itself lapse into the third sight.

Interesting. Flares were up all over Akira, black and forboding. It nodded its holographic head, and paced its room. It projected the screen to a wall, and had it freeze a frame of the black ire.

Second sight. Chemical balances for both Akira and Luke were misty, flickering like a candle in the wind.

It placed a shot of that as well as the fight from both perspectives and a wall's on its own wall, before distractedly checking on Clerise again...

Akira Maine
Akira's eyes caught sight of something. He thought he saw somthing walk passed. Something tall.

He looked at Luke, he was losing strength, going sort of limp.

He looked around, something was there, he let go of Luke, getting back to his feet. Whatever it was that had taken over him, was subdued for now. It had taken its pleasure in watching the younger boy struggle for life.

He looked around, and around, where was it? Something was there, he was sure of it.

weak little boy...

He stepped back, away from Luke. He was unsure, scared, his eyes were sort of wide.

What had he done? Why did he do that?

Luke Haneko
Luke rolled over onto his side as Akira let go, coughin and gulping down air.He sat up and placed a couple fingers to his neck, wincing a bit.It was going to swell, he knew it.He turned his head slighty, watching Akira out of the corners of his eyes. The wolf boy appeard to be scared, though Luke knew not why.One minute the wolf was trying to kill him and now he looked like a cowering puppy.

Akira Maine
Akira's eyes darted to Luke, his expression faded. It went back to one of anger. Just seeing the boy made him angry, wanting to see red. Why?

"You okay?" He asked, coldly. He didn't care, it just seemed like something to say.

Luke Haneko
Luke stood up, leaning against one of the sink."Ch, im fine."He turned around and resting a hand on the sink, leaning forward to examine his throat in the mirror.
Damnable wolf..

Akira Maine
Akira glanced at his throat, he could still taste blood. Maybe that was it? He was silent, thinking.

He turned and faced the door, and started towards it.

"I'm... Sorry.

Luke Haneko
Luke glanced up at the apology, watching Akira's reflection in the mirror as he moved torwards the door.He watched the wolf boy for a second before looking back at his own reflection.". . ."

Akira Maine
Akira didn't look back, he went through the door, and rested on the wall. He breathed out heavilly.

"What did I do?"

Luke Haneko
Luke glanced over as the door closed, ears twitching slightly. He looked down and turned the tap of the sink, splashing a pit of water on his wounded shoulder and turning it back off.He wiped water, and blood, off on his pants and headed torwards the door, leaving the bathroom.

Akira Maine
Akira stood straight, and walked down the hall of the wing, when his mind snapped back, he wiped his mouth. Blood, from the side of it stuck to the sleeve of his jumper.

He frowned.

Luke Haneko
Luke started down the hall, poking at the wound on his shoulder. He could probably go get it fixed up at the infirmary, along with his throat, but that was out of his way.

Akira Maine
Akira sighed and continued walking, his eyes planted on the gound. He felt horrible. He attacked someone. Sure, it was someone he didn't like, but he attacked him.

Why did he want to kill him? He thought on this, all the way back to his Dorm room.

[End Akira]

Luke Haneko
Luke continued poking at his wounds as he made his way torwards his dorm.He couldn't belive that wolf actually almost beat him..almost.And wondered what had made him stop..

[End Luke]

23. Lone wolf returns.
Akira returns to his dorm after the fight.

The Feed
[Record start] Akira's feed took note of his fragmented thoughts, and started recording...

What have I done? ...Fought... Tried to kill him, why? I don't know...

I saw something. ... In the room... It was there, it was. It had to be. How could it not be there?

Something told me to kill him. It yelled. It screamed.

Told me to choke the life from him.

..... What's happening to me?

Got to find Lineslieth... He'll know what to do... what to say. Lineslieth.. Haven't seen him for a while... OH NO! I forgot to Ping him! He must be angry!

Mad at me, angry... please don't let him hate me... please oh please... Couldn't bare it if he did.

...Lineslieth...

[Record Stop] It stopped recording when it sensed the boy, had fallen asleep, obviously on his bed.

[ lineslieth pov ]

Lineslieth crept in, feeling the twinge of pain from Akira.

As the wolfboy slipped into a fitful sleep, he slid in next to him, and wrapped his wings around the both of them, crooing softly into sensitive ears.

Sometimes, a child needed comfort. He was not the best, but it would do.

He wrapped his tail around the blanket and tucked it around the human.

"Narfik buurz, narish izuub."

The only words in the quiet dorm, and yet Akira's roommate would never hear them, and neither would see the dara in the morning, the only hint of his presence a new necklace tied around Akira's neck, made of polished tooth and bone of various dull colours. The centrestone was the colour of indigo nights, when the stars faded and the sky lightened into the richest purple ever seen...

26. A new morning, and a new necklace?
Akira wakes up and finds the necklace Lineslieth gave to him.

After glancing around once more, to ensure there was no one but he and Hiro-who was no doubt still asleep, Akira pulled the covers away from him. Swinging his legs over the side of the bed, he stepped onto the floor, his toes wiggling to get used to the coldness of the floor.

He glanced out the window, the sun shone, perhaps not as bright as it would if it was a perfect blue sky; but it shone. It reassured him he was still there. He yawned, puppy fangs glinting. Clawed fingers making their way through his messy hair, strands of black falling back over his crimson eyes.

Akira made his way to the wardrobe, and opened the large double doors. His clothes had arrived, they were hanging neatly, folded on top of a small table, and several pairs of shoes resting on the floor, with a pair of socks sitting inside the left of each pair.

He smiled, and unhooked a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of black shorts, he took a pair of ankle-high black boots and walked back to his bed.

He slid the nightshirt off, and felt something tickle his collarbone. Looking down to investigate, he gasped as he saw the necklace Lineslieth left in the previous night. Still in his boxers, he looked around for a mirror, and noticed one hanging on the inside of the wardrobe door. He ran over, and looked at his reflection.

The necklace was beautifully made, polished bones and teeth of dull colours and shades surrounded a violet center-stone. He tilted his head to the side and ran delicate childish fingers over it, not completely sure who might have given it to him, although he had an idea: Lineslieth.

Maybe... He'd have to ask, to be sure. His smile grew slightly wider, and he sighed, turning back to the bed and went to the task of dressing. His shirt, then his pants, which had holes tailored for his tail to slip through with little effort. Then his socks and shoes.

Akira was ready for a new day.

27. Bonded to a God of Death?
Akira meets Aerin, and is told of his bond to Anubis.

Akira Maine

[New RP]

After getting himself some breakfast, Akira had decided that it may be best to visit the infirmary. His dreams, along with the lingering guilt about the fight, had gotten to him and he wanted to know what was happening.

He made his way to the infirmary, guided by his map, and went through the door, looking around at the... girly-ness of it.

"Uhm. Hello?"

[ astra ]
Aerin stopped his busying about, cleaning even though the infirmary was already more sterile than a clean room. When he heard the small and vaguely meek voice call, his ears twitched and he turned to face the boy. "Why hello there, sweetie! And who would you be?" he looked him over, and even though he looked a little under his weight class, he was otherwise fine. "And what can I do for you today, little one?" he asked pleasantly.

Akira Maine
Akira blinked, that was a man, right? He shook his head, and stepped up, already playing with his sleeves, his tail already frantically swishing.

"Uhm, I'm Akira... I just wanted to..." He couldn't find the words, not the exact ones he was looking for, he sighed.

"I got into a fight with a boy and something happened, and I was hurting him. I feel really bad, and I think there's something wrong with me." He took a breath, his nerves made talk a little faster.

"And I saw something. And I had a weird dream." He looked at the floor, as he resisted the temptation to run away and hide. He wasn't having a confident day, as it turned out.

[ astra ]
Aerin tut tutted. "So you're the boy that attacked zero-eight today." He tapped a finger against his chin as he checked Akira's file. "Oh. You're approaching your points of change, dear, that's all." He smiled, and motioned to the various benches. "Take a seat, and I'll just take a peek at what's going on in that little head of yours." Aerin smiled reassuringly as he spoke, and waited.

Akira Maine
"It wasn't an attack.. he started it!" Akira frowned, his ears showing defeat as they fell limp at the sides of his head. He sighed and did as instructed, walking over to a seat, and plonking onto it with a wince.

He moved his tail, and sat down again.

"Points of change? What's that?"

[ astra ]
Aerin raised an eyebrow. "Well now, that isn't what he told me! Isn't he the dishonest one!" As Aerin tested for Akira's emotions, he felt a shock wave of regret and guilt and sadness from Akira, and nearly had to sit down. This boy was carrying enough baggage for a three way trip to the moons. Both of them.

Aerin followed, and a seat rose from the ground in front of Akira's seat. "It just means you've almost hit the amount of insanity you can take for your age, and then we'll hibernate you in the accelerated convalesence chamber for a week or so, and you'll pop out a few years older." He said all this as if it were nothing, and he were chatting about the weather. "Now little one, let me inside that head of yours..." Aerin reached up, and placed his white fingers against Akira's temples. With a burst of his empathy and a burst of power from his feed, he was in.

"...Hm. Yes. You'll be like Clerise soon," Aerin said finally, and deciding to leave out Clerise's...additions, "and be in what we call the "Eccentric" stage, which is approximately 25% insanity." He pat his head. "You'll be called down here soon, for time in the chamber."

Akira Maine
"Insanity? I'm going to go insane?" He blinked. Well that was somewhat of a shock, although he somehow already figured that out.

He watched as Aerin went to work, feeling slight tugs here and there. His hand absent-mindedly fiddling with his new necklace, listening as the teeth and bones clicked together. He still wondered if Lines gave it to him.

Had to be him, it couldn't just pop around my neck, could it?

His tail flicked.

[ astra ]
Aerin nodded. "Of course you are. Everyone here will, or they'll become an obnoxious supergenius. Either way, the Academy is where you all come to lose yourselves, not find yourselves." Aerin stood, and dusted off his miniskirt. "Darling, I think I should tell you something." He paced over to his desk, and started busying himself. "You're bonded, little one. Bonded to a death god." He pursed his lips, and came back to Akira empty handed. "Deities...sometimes use bonds, mental connections, with humans so they can have a physical connection to this world, so they can walk upon it and inflect themselves upon it. With you, it happens to be Anubis."

Akira Maine
Another blink, and Akira's face went pale...er. "What?" A death god? Anubis? I'm bonded to a god of death!? That's not true. It can't be.

"I... I don't believe you. How can that be true? That... It's not right!" His eyes were already filled with tears. It was likely he was misunderstanding.

"I don't want to turn into a thing that kills people!" He sniffed, a sob escaping.

[ astra ]
Aerin blinked, suddenly aware, again, that he was talking to just a little kid. "Oops." he muttered, and went over and gave Akira a big hug. "Oh, don't worry dear! You're not going to kill people!" he laughed, and hugged him again.

"You are simply...you will be the one who helps respect the dead, who gives the death the order they deserve after their death, and after they've been guided to their underworld." He wrapped his arms tighter around the wracking form, and hummed lowly, as he moved to sit beside Akira on the bench and pet his hair.

"This means you will be great, to be chosen by a deity. You have caught their eye out of all the other possible people. Anubis chose you, because you know the pain of one who goes on after the death of theirs. You are not the reaper, you are the finaliser, you will wrap up loose ends on the material plane as they have already gone through their life passage to the life-after-life."

Akira Maine
Akira sniffled, feeling himself in warmth as Aerin hugged him, comforting the child.

"I'm not gonna turn into a killer?" He wiped his nose, thinking, "Is that what I saw in the bathroom, when we were fighting?"

He wasn't sure what all that meant, nor would he fully understand until he was older. Right then, was just his moment to accept it.

[ astra ]
Aerin pet Akira's hair again. "No. Anubis is not the reaper, he is the binder, the purifier. He is your patron, the guardian of orphans." The mouse leaned back, and poked Akira's forehead. "You will understand one day. I assume you saw something in the bathroom that may have been a lost soul, or something. One day, you'll lead them to their place, hon. For now, you just need to find your own..."

Akira Maine
Akira sniffled again, his ears twitched, raising slightly out of their refusal to move. Akira never thought he had a place. It was only natural, since he was banished from his home.

"I didn't hurt Luke too badly, did I?" He asked, moreso out of curiosity than actual caring, "I mean, his neck... I didn't... break anything?"

[ astra ]
Aerin snickered. "No. He had a few lacerations and minor injuries to his windpipe, but half an hour in the convalescence room had him totally healed." Aerin lightly kissed the top of Akira's head, like a mother would a child. "Everyone has a place, Akira. There is a set place for us in many places, and we do not to have to go through all or even any of them. But they are there, and there's one for you here, I can feel it deeprooted in you." He grinned, and fake shooed him away. "I've got work to do, little wolf. We must part ways, I think I sense a certain dara beckoning for you."

Akira Maine
Akira nodded, his ears moving so he wouldn't flick the mouse-man in the face. He stood up, and let his tail shake off being sat on.

His ears perked up after hearing Aerin's last words, "Lineslieth is looking for me? I have to go find him!" A smile spread across his features, and he gave Aerin a hug.

"You're very nice... I'll come and visit you again!" He said, grinning up at him and turning around. His childishness comepletely taking over him, as he bolted out of the infirmary.

He had to go find Lines!

28. Looking for Lines.
Akira runs into Hiro as he searches for Lineslieth.

Hiro Tanaka
"Akira! Wait for me!"

The last syllable was much longer than it should have been. Hiro nearly passed by his room mate, blasting down the hallways. The little wolf had managed to catch his eye -his tail had, at least- and Hiro couldn't help but try and catch up. His bag was firmly placed over his shoulder so it wouldn't fall. For a while, he'd just been aimlessly wandering around to try and find something interesting. And almost anything and everything had been fun to watch. But he got tired of it very fast, and moved on to the next and the next, until he was probably farther from his dorm than he'd even gone before.

Akira Maine
Akira had been practically running down the hall, he was excited in his search for Lineslieth.

His ears twitched and he turned his head, spotting Hiro zooming behind, he chuckled, and waved back, "Hey Hiro!"

He turned, to stop, his boots making a squeeking noise as he slid along the polished tiles. He almost fell over, but caught his balance. His chest heaving as he cought his breath.

"How's it going, Hiro? Found anything interesting to do?"

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro had to grab hold of the wall as it went by in order to stop himself. It wasn't very easy. (Note to self: Work on stopping while in the air.) He slowly drifted back down to the ground, and walked to Akira instead of trying to fly there. He'd heard the question, but had to think about it for a moment. He thought back to the things he'd seen and smiled brightly.

"Absolutely nothing!"

Akira Maine
Akira giggled. Someone like Hiro, was deffinately a good person to encounter after the news he'd gotten.

"I just came from the infirmary, I'm looking for Lineslieth... You, haven't seen him by chance? Tall, gray skin, black hair, wings... a REALLY long tail?"

Hiro Tanaka
"You mean the guy that brought you here?"

He thought about it for a moment and shook his head. He adjusted his bag a little, because it was slipping. He looked back to Akira, and realized what he'd just said. He didn't like doctors very much. He didn't mind needles and stuff, it was just the creepy hospital feeling he always got. He smiled curiously to the other boy.

"Why were you at the Infirmary?"

Akira Maine
Akira sighed. So he hadn't seen him, that was alright, it meant he had a lot more ground to cover than he thought.

His ears perked and he bit his lip, "I was having my mind checked."

He sighed, he might as well explain, "I got into a fight with Luke on my way back to the dorm, and something happened... Well I hurt him, tried to kill him I guess... I saw something move in there."

He took a breath, "The nurse told me it's cause I'm getting ready to grow, or something... That I'm going insane, and that--" He swallowed.

Hiro was his room-mate, he deserved to know, "--I'm bonded with a god of death. Someone called Anubis."

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro tilted his head a little bit. He didn't know how Akira was going to get his mind checked, but it didn't seem fun at all. And he'd hurt the mean boy -though he'd probably deserved to get a couple of punches thrown at him, he most likely hadn't done anything bad enough that he should die for it.

But Hiro nodded a little. He couldn't possibly know what Akira was going through at the moment, but he would try to help anyway he could. They were room mates and friends, after all.

"I don't think we can do anything about you being bonded to Anubis, Akira. You'll just have to try and be yourself, and not let it change you. And if you need any help, I'm always a call away!"

He was trying to show Akira that there actually were people that wanted to help him. Lines might want to help, too.

"So, do you want to try and find this Lineslieth guy?"

Akira Maine
Akira listened to Hiro, he was somewhat shocked - He could be serious? The thought never actually occured to him. It seemed to come out natural, to him, just like his happy and bouncey ways. He smiled.

"I'm still kind of shocked about it, to be honest. I didn't think I'd be chosen to be bonded with a god... Let alone a god of death."

He twitched his nose, his ears and tail following. He added a nod, and another smile.

"Okies. It sounds like he needs to see me... Could be about classes! Maybe they'll be starting soon!" He grinned at the thought, he couldn't wait until his art class started.

Hiro Tanaka
Hiro grinned. He was back to his usual self. The serious moments only lasted a few seconds, if at all. And it wasn't easy to be that serious when there was so many other things that could be done. Playing came to mind, but at the moment, he couldn't. The thought of his own classes went by for a moment, but they quickly faded into something else.

"Well then, let's find him!"

Akira Maine
Akira grinned, his tail wagging happily once more.

"Okay~ Uhm. I'll go down there and look for him, and... you can keep going that way and look for him, or someone you think could be him..." He thought a moment. They'd only really know if they contacted each other.

"Ping me if you find him... I don't know how Pinging works, I think you just think of me and send it out, like the food..." He shrugged, and started heading down the hall.

"I'll see you later though, Hiro! Have fun! AND THANK YOU!"

[End Akira]

Hiro Tanaka
"All right!"

He sped down the hall at the same pace as before. With a few beats of his wings, he was already pretty far down. He didn't really know what he was looking for, but he'd probably figure it out by what Akira told him. It couldn't be that hard to find a dragon-man, right? He turned around, flying backwards. He cupped his hands over his mouth, so that Akira had more of a chance to hear him.

"YOU'RE WELCOME!"

[End Hiro]

29. Comfort.
Akira finds Lineslieth at last!

Akira Maine
Akira was growing tired, he'd searched all through the rest of the academy. well; MOST of the academy. If he wanted to search every last inch, he'd be there for days, weeks possibly.

He sighed, and looked down the hall; The Ash wing. If he wasn't there, then Akira would give up and let Lineslieth find him. He stepped up to a door, and knocked, then sent out his student ID, and the door opened for him.

He stepped inside, looking around.

"Hellooo, Lines?"

[ astra ]
[ lineslieth pov ]

Lineslieth roused from his resting place, a nook of an inset between the ceiling and the wall, cut down a few feet and several feet back. "Hello, little one. Why do you seek me?"

Akira Maine
Akira blinked. Finally!

He gave a meek wave, aslmost appolagetic, as if he'd disturbed him.

"The nurse at the infirmary said you were beckoning me," His hands already fiddling with his sleeves.

"So I started lookin' for you." He smiled.

[ astra ]
Lineslieth leaned down, and slid to the floor. "Did he now?" He frowned. Aerin could be so interfering. "Why were you in the infirmary?" he asked, deciding it would be best to feign ignorance.

Akira Maine
Akira looked at the ground, his tail swaying from side to side, only slightly. His ears were too lazy to stay as they should have been, so they were flopping downward.

He didn't really want to tell Lines why he was there, maybe he would be mad at him, if he knew about the fight. Maybe he wouldn't be so nice if he knew about the bond.

"Just getting a check up," He said finally, which wasn't far from the truth.

[ astra ]
Lineslieth snickered internally. "I see." He leaned against the wall, his wings folded forward like beckoning arms to accomodate for his back.

Lineslieth lazily changed the subject, scratching against soft metal with a clawed toe. "What have you been up to, as of late? Nothing too deadly, I hope." He flashed a crooked grin at the wolf boy, his red eyes glinting with playfulness and mischieviousness.

Akira Maine
Akira thought a moment, and shoved his hands in his pockets.

"I met my room-mate, Hiro. He's really funny. He has a looot of energy, though. He zips around all over the air!" He chuckled, looking up at the ceiling, thinking again.

[ astra ]
Lineslieth laughs. "I seehe's rubbing off on you. It's good to see you with more life." The dara beckoned with his hand, "Come. sit with me. I am feeling...comatose today."

Akira Maine
Akira giggled, and did as he was told. Except it was more of a lunge than simply walking.

His partial skips ended when he was next to the dara, and he plopped happily, his tail wagging as he looked up at him.

"Have you been busy? I haven't seen you in a while."

[ astra ]
The dara grinned when Akira nearly fell onto him. He dipped his head in agreement. "Yes. Classes will start soon, and I've been left with RA to coordinate them." Lineslieth slyly reached an arm around Akira, and swiftly tugged his tail before swiftly returning his hand to its normal spot, pretending not to notice Akira's reaction. "You'll be in two classes of mine."

Akira Maine
As usual, Akira's tail flinched and shook itself. Though Akira smiled, he actually missed the dara doing that.

He looked up at Lines again, a wider smile gracing his features, "I will? Woot!" His ears twitched with excitement.

"Now I can't wait until classes start!"

He blinked, Luke's face flashed through his mind, his ears planted against his head, "Is Luke in those classes, too?"

[ astra ]
Lineslieth shrugged. "I know not. He has not selected classes yet." He looped an arm around Akira, and tugged the pair of them up to the loft.

"You interupted my rest. Now you get to stay with me for the rest of its duration, though I'm sure you do not mind in the slightes," Lineslieth muttered, though a good natured closed lip smirk was on his face even as his eyes slid closed.

Akira Maine
The wolf-boy blinked, and then looked around as he was carted up into the loft. So this is where he rested? He gave a half-smile at the thought, he felt a strange sense of honor, being allowed to stay with the dara while he rested.

Akira nodded, and got comfortable, an arm, and his tail resting on the dragon-man.

"I don't mind, sleep well, Lines," He replied, watching as his eyes slid shut.

He could get used to this.

[ astra ]
Lineslieth still smirked in his rest, and wrapped his tail loosely around Akira several times. "No escaping," he mumbled rather coherently for mumbling, and slid into a half rest, still aware of the world and yet, sleeping...

Akira Maine
Akira did his best to keep the giggle as quiet as possible, and cuddled up to Lines. He felt warm, and quite comfortable. Akira just hoped he wasn't too heavy.

He sighed, his ears drooping as he lay there in the silence, simply... watching.

[ astra ]
...Was the child...Cuddling? Lineslieth snickered.

Some time passes, and Lineslieth, once he notices Akira beginning to drift off, tightens his grip on him and lunges down and out of the loft, through the halls, and to Akira's dorm in record speed. Without jostling him very much at all, he's through the door and Akira is on the bed, blanket over him. Lineslieth snickered again, and turned to leave. Astrath called.

30. What the hell?
Akira wakes up from his nap with Lines.

Akira sat up and gasped. He looked around. He was... back in his dorm?

Was that another dream? He blinked.

"What the hell?" He asked, to no one in particular. His eyes still moving around the room. He sighed, and fell back. Landing back on his pillow with a thud, and a groan.

"I am so confused..."
