lol ya i was thinking of switching schools, but that would require
1. a ride to that school(which i dont have sinse i ride the bus xp )
2.parental consent(my moms against the school that i would be attending)
oh and i dont have a curfew law where i live! sweatdrop *yes!*

irishprincess i think that parents should ahve say on their own childs bedtime and curfew. some kids are more mature than others, some act lie 2 year olds even tho theyre 18. i mean, why should the governmaent have a say on what time i should be home on a saturday night, or any other teenager in the country for that matter! what happend to rights??! BUT, some parents just dont care anymore what happens to their kids. thast jsut sad..but it doesnt hustify a whole generation having a national 'bedtime'! i really think that they want as much control over he youth of this country as possible without riots breaking out. and then people will want to enlist in the service jsut to get out of here. pretty soon there wont be such thing as a draft. people will be begging to leave here. and for the posts previously on this thread, alot of schools, (the schools in florida at least) pass out a large manual (or code of conduct as theyre called) desribing all of the rules, regulations, and rights of students (in florida) and im pretty sure (i would have to check) that it states that no matter what your age, you cannot leave campus of a lockdown school under any conditions. and ofcourse, they have you sign a sheet of paper sayign that youll abide to these rules. its bullshit. they FORCE you to sign it. so even if you dont agree with a single thing in the handbook, youre abliged to follow it by legality. THAT THEY FORCED UPON YOU! and i, if anyone, know about it. my school is brandnew, and designed (the EXACT floorplans) after the closest prison. PRISON! with the stroke of a single button, anyone could perform complete lockdown on the school at any given second. it was designed after the columbine shootings for that reason. all of the exits are permanently gated and locked. the school was built away from the city and any food source purposely so that even if you found a way out (unlikely) and drove off (you cant walk because its right I'm 1on the most trafficed major road in our city) you would be either extremely late or miss the next period. and we only get half an hour fro lunch. DAMN!!!!!!!! That really sucks for you. My school isn't even that bad. If I wanted to ditch I'd just hop the fench and run to taco bell eat, and jump back over, and if anyone gives me s**t I'll say 18, and that confuses the dumn bastards. You really have it hard. My condolences, lol.

total bullshit, give parents the freedom and responsibility for managing their kids. the "trouble-making" is a sad justification and just shows how sad our law-enforcement agencies are. thankfully, with most communities, the cops just pick up the kids and take them home if they don't do it again.
There is a few circumstances, such as in hurricanes or other disasters, where law enforcement is spread thin and looting is a factor, I can understand it then.
education:
I feel for ya crying . If only education was privatized, then we could all have better schools from the beauty of a free market, and we could all choose a better school. Of course, the transition to that would be rough. *squinty grimace*

i think there is a loophole to the whole minor if you're still in HS thing. when i was a senior i was 18 and living on my own. if you move out of your house, you are your own gaurdian. it rocked. no f***ing permission slips, no signing in and out smile but regional laws may apply.

I don't respond well to authority. You should see what kind of pranks I pull on my HS. The only reason I listen to my real parents, is cause I can't afford college w/o them.

5ubliminalM355ag35 well I'm a senior at a closed campus public high school in california. So everyone else here be gratefull, be VERY gratefull that you don't have to live through the same situtaion. It sucks a LOT. I don't learn anything at school. I can ace my clases just by sleeping through them. I'm surrounded by dumbshits. I got 280 more points than the SAT average for my campus for chirst sake, and I only got a 1290. not to brag or anything i did ace my classes sleeping through them. but heres where the problem lies. I never pay attention and i ace a class. Other students dont pay attention and they fail. some student do pay attention and they fail. and a very small of of students pay attention and actually get decent grades. its kinda sad... either stupidity rose or the education system has no perks... cause in all honesty im not that smart yet all of my 09 graduate peeps say im the smartest person in hte 09 class
