"Aahhh," he replied and laughed gently, "I see," he added, and would sniff some more. Pausing, he glanced down another allyway. She obviously hadn't found any other wolves yet--or else she'd be there with them. Turning a bit, he paused and waited for her to follow. "It smells like they're not here--" He murmured, "They'd...probably be on the outskirts.."
Hmmm. "Since we dont like the humans..." He mused to himself, and wagged his tail, heading towards the border of the city.

"Oh...well...I thought they might be doing top secret missions so I thought they'd be in the center of the city..." Nina said quietly, trailing off. She had never really thought about it too much...asuming her guess had been right. Little did she realize that RAW wolves weren't always doing dangerous things 24/7. After all, they had lives and they weren't going to throw them away needlessly in most cases.

Well, here's an idea...why not howl for them? They might respond. He glanced to the pup and smiled, "How high can you jump?" He questioned, and would cant his head, his tail wagging behind him, against the back of his legs. Yes, he was enjoying this. He smiled warmly, continuing to walk slowly ahead...he glanced around for a moment, trying to find a ladder or something that'd lead to the top of a building.

"I'm a really good jumper!" Nina boasted with a grin, bounding about and starting to make some leaps at nothing, as though trying to show him just how good she thought she was. It was rather cute, especially since she did it with such spirit. Any human walking by would simply see a girl jumping around a young teenager. While this was far from the most normal sight, it wouldn't rase any questions.
She didn't follow his train of thought, however, or why her jumping might come into use. But for the moment she didn't really care.

Ayden laughed at her spirited personality, and would step over towards a fire escape. "Well, lets put that to good use!" He enthused, and would leap up onto the fire escape, landing on all fours..in human, and wolf form. That was a little weird if people saw it. But, he made sure not to let anyone see. He didn't smell anyone, except for the young girl.
"C`mon! We'll call for them, give that voice of yours a workout." He laughed gently, and would wait for her to come up.

"Ok!" She jumped up onto the fire escape behind him, barely making it. Her front paws scratched against the metal and she scrambled about to pull herself up all the way. For a moment her illusion dropped. But, once she was up and had caught some of her breath it was up again and she darted after up him the steel stairs.

He kept leaping up as she did, and hit the top of the building on his rear end. He gave a light noise, and waited for her to hop up, as well, and stepped over to the side to catch her if she didn't make it...it was a long jump from the fire escape to the top of the building, so he didn't want her to fall.
Panting a bit, he let his illusion fall, and looked around the blur of the city...maybe she's appreciate it more than him, since she had good eyesight.

When Nina reached the top she had to stop to rest for a bit, her ears flickering back as she panted. She then shook her head and lifted herself up and looked at the jump ahed of her. It was really big! Wrinking her nose in determination she took a couple steps back, bringing herself close to the floor as if she was about to pounce something. She then raced forward and leapt upward. She made it just as she had the bottom of the fire escape, with her breast and front paws on the surface. She then wriggled and pulled herself up onto the roof and flopped there for a moment, gasping.

He waited, then watched her leap up. He would set a paw to her back in case he needed to drag her up, but she got up on her own.
"Good job, Nina," He praised her, and would look to the sky. "Now, lets call for them." He said seriously, but his tone was still warm, calm.
He smiled at her, his illusion down, and tossed his head up in a deep, long, echoing howl. His howling would ask the other wolves to return his call...it just sounded like a lone, sad dog to the humans.

Nina pulled herself up and lifted her own, smaller maw. Her jaws parted and a chilling, high pitched howl sprang from her being, one only one as young as she could give. It convayed the same message as his, though a little more simplified and in a far more childish manner. But at heart it was the same-she wanted to see her kind again and she wanted to rejoin their ranks.

He paused to catch his breath, and sent out the same message. He continued to howl, his voice ringing in with her own, twisting into a duet. He stopped after a few minutes of howling, and went completely silent, even holding his breath. He could hear his heart beat, and Nina's--that's it.
He smiled happily when he hear a very, very distant returning howl...'We're here' it rang out. A few different voices, even another pup's. He laughed, "They're here!" He said the obvious, and looked down at her happily.
