Akanishi Makoto Byaggha Hanuman took a whole new twist for me after reading the Ramayana. The guy is not only the most loyal vanara ever, but he bathes himself in the blood of enemies. Well, at least during the war on Lanka - wrenches the head off one of their generals, and annoints himself in the gore. Quite a mental image, that. Now that's a God. None of this wussy-pansy "plague of locusts" crap. Head off-wrenching. It makes a point. Struck by lightning in 3...2... I wonder if Ganesha pre-dates the Egyptian Deities. If so, then he may well be the first successful head-transplant. If not, well, human beings could learn a lot from these guys.
Have a problematic president? Give him a head transplant! Whee! And now for something completely different, a lightning strike!

Hanuman isn't a god, he's a devotee...Even though he's the son of the Wind and he's been blessed by other gods, he's not one.

Like a lot of deities, he probably came from older times, and really *was* thought of as a god. Then along comes Hinduism and he's kind of regulated to semi-god-status, to make way for the Big Guys and Gals. xD I dunno, I'm sleepy. Don't mind me. ^^;;;;

So they say that without the Wind Hanuman wouldn't have been created. ALSO he was blessed with powers or gifts from the other gods and such BUT when he was young and tried to eat the son because he thought it was a fruit he got them restricted. Or so I've been taught by my grandparents and papers I've typed for school.

I have to say that I've always thought of Ganesha as my patron, for he was the one that brought me to the religion

I worship Kali as Supreme divinity; Devi Ma. And all the forms that embody her such as Laksmi, Saraswati, and Durga. As well as all the Maha-Divyas.
